Cradling the little cat against his stomach with a large, long-fingered hand, the unlikely pair - Republic medic and Imperial warrioress - ventured deeper into Shadow Town.
"I think this is the place," Cole peered around, running a hand through his hair.

There are some children squatting in a rundown defunct apartment building... well children plus some elderly and other vagrants.

Remembering how frightened the last kid she met was, Shaisha pulls up her hold and cowl to conceal her pureblood features some.
"I'll leave the talking to you...."

Carefully, Cole drew the kitten from the inside of his jacket, stroking its soft fur, he'd almost be sorry to see the little troublemaker go. He doesn't try to get too close to any of the wary squatters, "Tak? Tak, I saw your poster. We found your kitten."

Shaisha kept back as Cole handled the... younglings.
And then her communicator beeped. She took a moment to gesture to Cole that she had a call and stepped a little away.
She was dressed in her armor, with the cloak wrapped around her and her hood up, as if she was trying to keep herself concealed. "Shaisha here, what's the sitch?"

Kristal's image appeared in blue, albeit it looked like Kristal at least. However much more... well, she was dressed in a clearly dirty sweatshirt and there were certainly signs of a bruise or two. However the woman didn't look beaten, but instead proud, focused.
"Shaisha, there is something I require help with. I need a doctor," she said, however very quickly added, " not for myself. Details are a luxury that cannot be afforded on the matter, however. I do not know of anyone and I cannot ask Sylvain, I am hoping you might be able to track someone of use for me."

A young cathar boy runs towards the soldier, "Is that Vader?"
"You found him!"

"Uh..." the female pureblood blinked. Who names their cat Vader?!
"... You sure? I mean, not needing it for you?" she cocked her head to the right as she regarded holo-Kristal. Why couldn't she ask Sylvain? "I'm actually here in Shadow Town with a pretty skilled doctor. At least he fixed me up pretty well after that Huttball match."

"I would suppose it would be for me, a favor," she said, before continuing. "If not for my Mother's distrust I would be able to ask Sylvain to find someone but I am sure if she knew the recommendation had come from him she wouldn't allow it. I have no intention of pushing her on that front... yet."
"As far as your doctor, do you trust him?"

. . . No, she can't be. That would be absurd . . .
"Yeah, I trust him. Republic, but he does good work, got a good head on his shoulders, and I trust him to keep discretion." Shaisha drew a sharp breath. "... You sure you don't want to check with Weaver, or any of the medics at the compound?"

Cole's interest had been piqued at the mention of a doctor, but he hunkered down in front of Tak, "we sure did." He smiled warmly and turned over the kitten, "you're a lucky pair, to have each other."

Kristal's image turned away for a moment as she seemed to be dealing with one of the random others in the room where she was. Though no one else appeared on the display, it was evident through her slightly hunched nature that she was keeping a lower profile in a fairly crowded room.
"Weaver is not prepared for this level of operation, and I do not trust the medics at the compound to remain discrete," she replied. "I would pre-" she was cut off a bit, static played out from the holo-communicator as the signal got a little hazy. Must have been her location. "-eet him at some time. Allow us to determine if he is a proper man for the job."

"Us?" she raised an eyebrow. "Well... I know you hate talking through holo, but if you could hold for a moment while we wrap up things here, you can speak with him if you wish?"

"Return the call when you are prepared, I will be ready," she said, allowing for the option that suited her desires much easier. Ending the call.

The child offers the man fifteen credits as promised and welcomes his pet.

Gently, "no, I want you to keep that. In fact, here," Cole rummaged in a pocket and found a chip with twenty credits on, "take this. For you and Vader, okay?"

"Sure. You look after Vader, and," Cole scratches the cat behind an ear, "you look after Tak."

"He seems happy though."

"Everything's fine... I think," she looked a little confused by the call more than anything. "Friend of mine, said she needed a skilled doctor, but she wouldn't say what for."
She gave him a reassuring smile. "I doubt it's for anything that would go against your morals. Or that she'd set you up. Kristal is a reliable and honest person. Very military."

"Deviless, if I can trust you, then I think I can manage to trust anyone you'll vouch for." He doesn't let on his doubts about the crystal, or the likelihood of ever having the chance to claim the owed favour.

She chuckled. "I'll put her in touch with you then. She doesn't really like doing holo... feels it doesn't give her a good reading on a person. But... well, I promised I'd call her back when you were available."
"If you don't mind, that is?"
