Nar Shaddaa

The streets were strangely deserted in this part of shadow town, the nikto quarter was shuttered up tight with folks hunkering down as if a storm was coming. Maybe it was… or maybe it was something worse then a storm.

Holo-grafitti adorned the walls and streets and this would be the last place someone should be a tip that was too good to pass up brought a Jedi here to hopefully bring in a notorious criminal…

Alysele stalked the streets, well as much as one can stalk in heels. She was here due to a tip off and.... perhaps because of guilt. She was away yesterday on family stuff, while she could have been doing her duty. But now she was ready though. Fighting, dueling this was her duty.

The light emitted did mean she had difficulty seeing much in the darkness.

Aly took up a classic duelist stance, her left holding her saber, her right hand on her hip, near her stimpacks.

She smiled coolly at him. "Your impotent rage will be amusement enough for me then." With that, she stepped forward in a sudden burst, lightsaber aimed at her opponent

The nikto is harried by the strike as it pierces his aror which does not yield to the lightsaber, what should have been a grievous blow does not slow down the brute as he comes at the Jedi!

He grips her neck and pulls her in for a vicious headbutt but she springs out of his grip as he spins his staff catching her weapon hand and sending the lightsaber clattering the ground a short but sizeable distance away.

“Make your peace, the Red God is near,” he says in Huttese.

OOC: The nikto has Adversary 1 which upgrades the difficulty of all attacks by 1, turns a purple to a red. He also has Defense 1, so a setback die as well. Fliped a Destiny to upgrade the attack. The nikto is at Engaged range with Alysele. Attack missed but using Triumph to disarm Alysele and puts the lightsaber at short range.

Nikto's soak reduces the damage to 3, yes his armor can soak Lightsaber. Suffers a critical injury!

Luckily for Alysele, learning how not to be disarmed was the first rule of Duelist Club. While the attacked caught her off guard, she spun and held her grip.

"I'm doing enough peace talks right now, thanks lizard breath." Okay, perhaps that last part was uncalled for. He can't help it, it's in his biology!

She used the momentum from her spinning, and struck again at her opponent. It cut again, but sadly it wasn't quite the perfect strike as the one before.

The nikto opted for power over grace opening himself up but landing a powerful blow on the Jedi! But his savagery cannot be stopped as he lands a second vicious powerful blow with his staff as he tries to beat her to a pulp! But he over extends himself and falls to the ground with a growl!

OOC: 10 damage done with Breach 1, and uses the Triumph to generate a critical. The Critical Injury generated a second attack which does 12 damage Breach 1! Alysele may perform a free maneuver in response to the first attack and then the Nikto falls prone at the end of the second attack and suffers 1 strain

"What? No come back for... ugh... lizard breath?" Aly kept the quips coming even through gritted teeth.

The first attack was... terrible, but her saber caught some of it. Seeing him come around for another round, she took a step back, the massive attack finding nothing, only thin air with a slight fragrance of Alderaanian rose.

After the nikto has fallen down, she stabbed her lightsaber down, and as she brought it back, she made sure to drag it through his staff too.

The nikto growls as he reaches out and grabs the duelists and utilizes his brute strength to throw her through a window and crash into through a kitchen sprawling through a mess of fruits and plates.

She is unharmed for the most part!

OOC: He misses but rolls a Triumph using that to throw Alysele through a window into a living room. This puts her at Short range! Holding combat for Durasay at this point!

Durasay had been running for most of the night. Heavy blaster in hand. Cursing, shaking people down. He had managed to calm himself. Finally, he heard the crashing of glass, and turned down an alleyway. There. He saw a nikto, menacingly holding a black polearm. Part of him wanted to call out, get his attention.

But that might cause him to run off, to get scared. No, that wouldn't do. Instead he moved down the alleyway, hugging behind some debris. Straining himself, he took careful aim with his Heavy Blaster.

Trust in the Force. I am one with the Force, the Force is with me!

A Slow exhale, as he squeezes the trigger!

The blaster bolt goes wide, as Durasay curses to himself. "Kriff!"

I used a maneuver to move into medium range, to get behind some cover, spent two strain to aim my heavy blaster. Fired, and whiffed hard.

The battle is joined by the pantoran investigator as the nikto looks over his shoulder and says in Huttese, “Do not interfere with the Red God’s work.”

Durasay moved quickly, running up to another bit of terrain for cover. He could see Alysele. Cursing himself, he called out.

"Alysele! I'm here to help! Get into position!"

(Ooc: used one maneuver to move into short range of the Nikto. Took the field commander action, Alysele can immediately make a free maneuver that does not count towards her maneuver limit. Spending two advantage to give Alysele a boost die on her next action, and the remaining 2 to add a setback die to the Nikto's next action, as he is distracted by my entrance! Did not use the dark side pip)

Aly raised her saber in a classic guard stance. "Eyes here boy."

The nikto ignores the pantoran and crashes the wall with a roar, atries to crush the Jedi duelist before the two engage in several strikes and parries, neither making or gaining advantage. The nikto hisses in Huttese, “The Red God is pleased you are putting up a fight, Jedi. It is good you were chosen for this!”

Aly's face was stoic. "Well, you're a bore." She casually parries and blocks and sidesteps before flicking the saber into the nikto's side.

Durasay smiled at her response, and was impressed by her skill with the lightsaber. At least the Sith didn't force him to offer up someone who wouldn't be cabaple.

"Well, step to your right! He's still standing, and he's trying to offer your pretty face to the Red God!" He moved as he spoke, leaping over the debris, drawing his vibrosword.

(Ooc: maneuver one move to short. Two strain to draw my vibrosword. Field Commander action. Spending one advantage to recover one strain (now at 3/12). Aly gets a maneuver! No dark side point used)

Aly raised her sword again, ready for the attack while rolling her eyes. "Well, he's not getting it. I'm too pretty to be sacrificed."

The nikto stabs himself with a stimpack and tosses it aside before spinning the staff over his head and slamming it into the Jedi once more, emboldened by the surge of health and the skill of his opponent! It is a terrifying blow dealt with savage fury!

Alysele parries the worst of the blow before hitting herself with a stim and then spinning into an attack on the nikto! The nikto is nimble and parries her assault at every angle until her strategy is revealed as she disarms the brute and takes a moment to grin, "Time to tip the scales."

OOC: 3 more strain to parry, reduce damage to 7; use Maneuver to Stimpack herself for 4 at an total of 7 Wounds and 4 Strain, then she uses 3 Advantage to disarm the nikto and 3 more to regain Strain for a total of 7.

Durasay ran in, bringing his vibrosword down with a massive slash. He had taken the time to aim, trying to catch the Nikto assassin off guard. He felt the blade connect with his leg, and hooked upwards, causing thr Nikto to fall flat on his back!

The Nikto rolls to grab his staff ad then stands spinning the staff looking at both attackers and hisses, "The Jedi must die, then you are next!"

The Jedi is undeterred as she spins her blade clashes with the nikto but finds an opening and leaves a burning scar but the brute still stands!

Nikto swapped Action for a Maneuver to grab his weapon and then suffered 2 strain to stand. Alysele did 9 wounds for a total of 3.

Nikto has suffered a total of 7 wounds and has three Critical Injuries! Nikto suffers 2 more strain for a total of 6 to stand.
