"I see a ceasefire as a real possibility... but I do not see long term peace as possible as long as both our respective nations maintain their current attitudes... Nor do I see them letting those go any time soon. The Empire has been successful for many years now... we have proven that with fewer resources we can battle and defeat the Republic. We would prefer to do that with as little bloodshed as possible, for it wastes valuable time and resources, but I doubt the senate will ever permit the Empire to win without significantly more suffering."
