She licks her lips, leaving a a greenish residue of saliva and adds, “I have personally seen to all the entertainment and refreshments. I would like to extend that during your stay here I am at the service of our Imperial and Republic guests and will gladly see to any issues that arise.”

“In turn I hope that both will remember fondly the sacrifices of the Hutt Cartel and subsidiary organizations.”

She then reaches out and grabs a monkey lizard and stuffs it into her mouth as she ends her greeting.

Alysele Cortess stepped through the doors, flashing her green pass to the guard, her eyes not even deigning to take in the guard.

A trandoshan guard was eyeing her saber, but a quick, imperious glare put a stop to that. She strode down at the head of her delegation, acting as vanguard as befit her current duties. Her outfit was all white, still obviously echoing the style of the Jedi, but fancier and of better quality. She gave a bow and a wave towards the Hutt, rituals she learned long ago, before the order, when she had a different future.

She didn't speak yet, allowing the more senior people to speak for now though.

Zeno showed up to the banquet, his smile speaking volumes about just how much he cared about potential violence. He didn't seem to be looking to start anything but quite ready to finish it if it started. He made greetings to the important types from the Imperial side and the Hutts before moving to find a seat somewhere in the middle of the banquet, trying not to cluster with the Empire delegates.

Senator Morindel enters the Club and nods to the Hutt as he speaks. When he finishes, Adrianaa smiles and speaks loudly.

"The Republic Senate is gracious for your extravagent generosity in allowing us to conduct our affairs. May history show it was the thoughtfulness of the Hutt Cartel this day that eventually ended a brutal and costly war. '

Hala made her expected appearance, clothed in her finest class As and her cap tucked under her arm while code cylinders gleaned from catch pockets on either side of her chest. She paid her respects to the Imperials and the Hutts then moved to mingle.

The Hutt nods and she says in beautiful rumbling Huttese, “The Hutt Cartels appreciate an opportunity to help bring an end to this war.”

She chortles and adds, “War is good for business, but it’s also bad for business, yes?”

"How right you are. Though the longer a war rages, the less beneficial and more costly they become. The best profits are found in the rebuilding phases."

Adrianaa glances over at those gathered so far and then looks back to the Hutt.

"That though, is a matter we can discuss once terms have been established. I can assure you that you will find quite a many investment prospects here soon."

Today had started as a bad day, and being greeted with a face full of explosion might end up not even rating in the top three. So when the young teenaged Sith in the dark armored robes stomped into the club, she looked more pissed than usual.

"Why am I here," she said to no one in particular, then looked at a server going around with a tray of drinks. He was soon deprived of one of them as she grabbed an order that didn't belong to her and poured it down her throat before looking around to see what else was going on.

Varra was there, a small woman with dark hair and cafe au lait skin. Civvies had seemed more appropriate for the occasion, so she wore a white cocktail dress and glittering earrings. Varra had snagged a rocks glass from the bartender filled with a mysterious blue beverage, and stood near where Dango and Adrianaa were talking.

"Yes, we're all very grateful to the Hutts for this opportunity; I'm sure it will be good for everyone's business," she said in support of the Senator's words, before taking a sip from her drink. The blue liquid was pleasantly strong.

Behind the Senator comes one of the bureaucratic aides.

Yslane makes note of those who came before her and then hovers around the Republic side. She nods to the Jedi and Senator, letting either know that their paperwork needs were ready to be filled.

Beyond that she makes note of any Imperials, trying to look at them without making it obvious she is looking at them. Which goes about as well as one can imagine from a nervous cog in the Republic's government machine.

A large entourage of Imperial troopers arrives forming an honor guard for the Dark Councilor. The dark lord enters and approaches the Hutt and speaks in Huttese, “The Empire is grateful for this opportunity, Dango and to that end we have brought you many rare treasures from Imperial space.”

Dango smiles as Xevious continues, “Though the rarest treasure is friendship.”

Behind him a warrior stands in crimson armor silent and stern. Xevious looks at the Republic delegates and says, “Greetings you speak to a Dark Lord of the Sith, member of the Dark Council, it is customary to kneel but I understand if you do not.”

“I am Darth Xevious and I am very pleased to make your acquaintances.”

Sylvain filed into the party wearing his mask and donned entirely in black. He looked around the room at the cast of characters already present and nodded to those that he recognized. He found a place for himself near the drinks and stood motionless watching the proceedings.

Adrianaa turns to look at the Darth.

"Well, if it is customary, we can't have our first meeting tainted by poor manners, can we?"

Adrianaa kneels and bows her head for a moment before looking up, still kneeling.

"Senator Adrianaa Morindel, Coruscant"

Fortunately for Sylvain his mask hid his expression of disgust at the Republic Senator kneeling to the Darth.

Who is this woman... a traitor to her own people? One does not kneel to their adversary in peace talks.

Layne crossed her arms and leaned against the nearest vertical surface as she watched the display looking unimpressed. She wasn't sure whether the senator was incompetent, or whether this was just how the republic thought diplomacy worked.

Varra's nostrils flared and her eyes narrowed as Xevious approached.

"Thanks, but I don't think I will," she replied dryly. "It was a long flight and my knees are too stiff. I'm Lieutenant Varra."

Aly was silent and dignified as she noted the new arrivals. He's all black... must be still writing poetry. Oh, look, Ys is here. Don't be too obivous! Damn, she's small, but that dress looks good. I hate my robes. Wait, what.

She observed the Sith delegation, and gave a nod of greeting. "Greetings, and I appreciate your understanding." Her tone was measured and cold as she spoke. She glanced towards the Lieutenant, but was otherwise silent.

T'Zann arrives, her face a mask, though it does not seem that she thinks much of the venue. She makes her way to join the rest of the Republic delegation. While not blatant about it, she is obviously observing the Imperial side.

"Unusual choice for a meeting place."

“Your gracious attitude is a refreshing Senator,” Darth Xevious says.

“I hope your journey to the Smuggler’s Moon was pleasant, it seems agents of the Republic attacked two Sith ships this morning. I was appalled to learn that the Republic would result to acts of terror. Surely the Republic will do all it can to weed out these undesirables.”

“The Empire does not take such slights, lightly.”

Yslane shifts a bit nervously as the Sith Lord's eye passes over her. She dips her head in acknowledgment but otherwise stays standing. Instinctively she her eyes flick to the soldier and Jedi, and Yslane is happy to see both are nearer to the Sith then she.

Remmington arrives at the club. He looks around at those gathered as he makes his rounds. He shows his respect to the Darth but doesn't interrupt his talk with the Republic representatives. He sees if there is anyone on the Republic side willing to talk and he makes eye contact and smiles towards the Jedi.

That fat bastard... did he....?

It was possible.

The Senator, in all his glory and regalia, stepped forward to address the Dark Lord of the Sith and all others present. "Salutations! It is an honor to finally meet you in the flesh. For those of you who do not know me, I am Senator Herresh Seir'oto." If he had noticed any of the earlier, tense moments, he surely was not showing it now.

Sylvain's area was not his alone forever. "Sylvain Torsin. How are you supposed to savor the fine drinks offered to us if you are wearing that mask?" Anhel smirked and took up a glass for himself. "I would thank you for accepting my invitation but I am unsure if you are here for me or for," he trailed off, gesturing to the proceedings around them, "this."

He turned his head and nodded politely, "I am not here for the drinks Anhel Rolm; but when one wishes to be in the spot where there is most action at a social event, is not the bar the best place?"

He then tilted his neck the opposite direction, "And thank you for your invitation, I was surprised to get it... but I am more than willing to meet with the son of the head of the Empire's military. That is what I was for many years as well."
