Description: Club Vertica is closed for a private engagement, Dango the Hutt makes sure to have the best entertainment on hand. The galactic news descends on the club for a peak at the festivities and the Imperial and Republic delegations meeting without violence… though if violence did occur the ratings would go through the roof.

In case you want to show up fashionably late or continue mingling with the fancy folks.

Arriving stylishly late, Jin Vaya and Serani Vil enter the engagement followed by a throng of onlookers and flashes of light. Jin was dressed to impress while Serani was more subdued but still striking in her regalia. She knew her father might be upset she was late but who could say no to a real life star, well a Republic one but a star all the same.

Moyr Ahaya was not exactly fashionably late, just late, but arriving in the wake of a superstar probably made it unnoticable. She was wearing a long, concealing dress, gloves, a choker and corresponding tape-wraps on her lekku. Not really interested in publicity, she moved to the side.

Remmington continues to hang around the establishment as the peace talks continue. He offers a polite nod to Moyr as she goes off to wall flower.

Noticing the late arrivals he decides to go greet them once things settle down a bit. He approaches with a pleasant smile. "Good evening ladies. Is this an instance of saving the best for last?"

Jin says, “I just had to show Serani all the best spots in town, guess we ran a little late. Oh I just love Vertica.”

Serani smiles and says, “I can’t believe you have been to all those places.”

“Honey they pay me to show up,” Jin adds with a smirk.

Despite her wishes, Moyr would not have solace. She was intercepted by a Sith Zabrak shortly afterward. "Hey there. Nice getup. I'm Lord Ralnorrei, a pleasure," she said without a breath between her sentences. However, she did pause afterward. "I've heard of you. Lots of people from your class at this moon, actually. Kind of weird when I think about it."

"It's a pleasure, my lord." Moyr nodded. "Many Lords and Darths took personal interest in grooming this batch of Sith, so we are simply the newest buns out of the Dark Bakery." She smiled a little. "My career has not been as stellar as some of the others, so I am a little surprised I was heard about."

"Dark Bakery?" She let out a hearty laugh. "That's a good one! I think I might steal that one, if you don't mind." The Zabrak took a sip from her drink and then nodded. "I was going to ask about that, actually. So many of your peers went off to serve great masters. Darth Marr, Darth Vengean, Darth Vowrawn, and so on. And then there is you, serving someone I've never even heard of. Again, it's pretty odd when I think about it."

"By all means." Moyr smiled, nodding, then tilted her head, letting the lekku wrinkle at the tips. "I am a xeno of a worse kind, apparently." Moyr said without angst. "Darth Hoshi took Rumun Gol. Besides that, who was really left? Some may think I got the shortest straw but I am not unhappy. Low expectations usually mean I can exceed them to some surprise."

"Well, Darth Baras took on two apprentices. I see no reason why Darth Hoshi couldn't have taken you too."

The last remark made Ralnorrei's lips turn crooked. "To be underestimated is an incredible gift." She took another sip from her glass. "Say, do you know how I got to where I am today?"

"One can argue that there can be only one Darth Baras." Moyr chuckled. "My wager is that it was through conscientious effort."

The Sith Lord finished the rest of her glass and then set it down. "My experience after the Academy was similar to yours. I had an inconsequential master, I didn't learn anything under him." She turned over to Moyr and looked at her with her expression blank. "And then I decapitated him.

"We differ in that I usurped him in only a couple of months. It didn't take long for me to realize I was stronger." A pause. "But that is not what has peaked my curiosity. Unlike me, you had some rapport back on Korriban. So the fact that you didn't get chosen by any Darth of repute is strange to me."

"Well, I still have some time before months become a year. Besides, you haven't heard from Lor Yulo lately, have you?" Moyr chuckled. "Perhaps I have attracted some powerful enemies along that rapport that could have made me as much a liability as an asset. That often stalls a career."

As the night rolled on, Hala continued to make her way around the room to meet people and be seen in return.

"I tend to not let anything stand in my way. If I want something, I get it." She shrugged. "I don't know, maybe I'm just trying to offer you some advice. Staying under Lord Yulo's command without ever progressing with your own ascension sounds like a bore. But if you're truly content with it then who am I to judge?"

"Your advice is just fine, my lord, and thank you for it. Perhaps the moment is not the most opportune to act on it though. I like when things succeed, so I don't flip coins too often." Moyr paused. "Your take on the peace initiative, if I may ask?"

"If you need help with your ascension, then you may let me know." Lord Ralnorrei shrugged. "I think we come from similar places. The alien among an Empire that hates our kind."

She turned her gaze to Darth Xevious and then back to Moyr. "It's what the Dark Council wishes and it doesn't interfere with any of my plans. I have nothing to complain about.'

"Your offer is interesting and I'll keep it in mind, my lord." Moyr tilted her head in curiosity, the lekku following. "If the talks don't capture your attention, however, what does?"

The Zabrak Lord glanced around the room, gesturing to it all, and then looked back to Moyr. "All of this, partially. But let's be honest, Moyr. I'm here for more than just the peace talks. You're here for more than the peace talks and so are all the other Sith from your class."

Moyr covered her lips with the tip of her lekku for a chuckle. "Because you cannot ingrain in a Sith mind that peace is a lie and then ask them to forget about it?"

"Ha! Rightfully put." She smirked. "I was right to approach you. You're a funny one." The Sith Lord placed her hands on her hips and looked around absently. "Alright, well, I do have a favor to ask you. It's nothing too extensive. I merely just want to hear your thoughts on your fellow classmates."

"That is not an extensive request, my lord?" Moyr chuckled again. "I have an understanding of mutual confidence with some of them, and I will not violate that. But I owe nothing to some others. So pick a name and we'll see."

Ralnorrei's lips turned crooked for a brief moment before she replied. "I will start with Layne Hoshin. I hear that she is Darth Baras' attack dog and a capable one at that. I know of her origins too, vaguely."

"Then you may know more than I. We haven't been close. We worked together maybe once, and didn't talk much beyond that. She's an attack dog, and mostly rabid at that. Hiding her own insecurities under a guise of crude arrogance, hreat and violence. Not my favourite."

"I see. Maybe someone else would have a more in-depth description of her. Someone like Sylvain Torsin, the other apprentice of Darth Baras. I obviously know of his family but I would like to know more about the man himself."
