"Power is relative, what stays the hand of the Dark Council is fear... fear of each other and the fear that an assault will leave them too weak to fend off the others. My work undermines their power bases, sets up enemies to fight each arrange for convenient accidents," Baras says clearly.

"Power is an illusion, but it cuts deep all the same."

Sylvain nodded, "Any information on how this is accomplished would be most informative for me too seek optimal solutions to the problems you would be confronted with..."

He pondered for a moment, "And the reasoning behind my move to the Ministry? It is your intent that I one day lead the military under your autocracy?"

"I will not be Minister of War forever," he says calmly.

"Someone should speak for the Emperor, his Voice could do much to set things on the proper path. As for my plans all are on hold until we deal with the Magpie."

"And her objectives? Any insight... I'm afraid you probably know her much better than I."

"I believe she wishes to take what I have, she is Sith," he says looking at Sylvain seriously.

Sylvain nodded, "I see... if she's compromised us with the Republic, she will need to be removed. What is thy bidding concerning her? What should I do?"

"Relay everything and anything you find on her, we shall speak again," Baras ends the call.

He nodded his head, "Yes, my master."

And watched as the communication ended abruptly.

Sylvain went to the meditation room and knelt down to consider the insight he had gained from his master.
