[D6 - MM] Bring Me Back My Rhodey! (Zeno's room)

[Luth Khalan]

"Oh, I'm sure..." She shakes her head. She finishes hers, as well. "What got you through it?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Passed out for a good portion early on and realized that being asleep made me feel better about my fate. I also held out hope that someone I knew cared about me might realize something was wrong and find me, though I knew the odds of that were slightly worse than all of the stars in Sith space suddenly and immediately turning to iron. Hope and faith in comrades are strong motivators to go on. That's why I would sooner die than betray the trust of any Deathwright. And why those that turn on the Empire should be prepared for my wrath. I learned a valuable lesson about loyalty in that situation, when a man I despised came back to me and congratulated me on holding out. I knew then that no Deathwright would turn on me just as I would never turn on them. Those bonds are ironclad," he smiles happily at the thought. "I would die for any of them."

"Not all the stars turned to iron, but most of the stars already have it in them. It sort of turned out like that - the hope was true, if not in the way one normally expected," she says, drawing on the metaphor he started. She smiles a little as she listens to him talk about loyalty. She was a little surprised, despite everything, how much she related to that feeling, and nodded. "You have a lot of strength and determination with that. It's very heartening."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Most of the other Sith Lords and Darths only consider alliances of convenience and power. Within the empire, I don't consider that enough. We should all be on the same team with the same goal. Removing the weak and foolish is one thing, but killing the strong to take their titles and positions? I've never thought that was good," he admits.

[Luth Khalan]

She nods slowly. "It's an approach that lacks... foresight," she agrees. "As it is, a distressing portion of our energy is being spent as you describe. If those in power can change their focus toward a common goal, and with internal loyalty in mind, the Empire would be impossible to stand against. If things get worse, the Empire will slowly eat itself alive. It feels like it could go either way right now."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"That's seems true... but the students that came out of our class... there must have been a moderating lesson learned because most of us understand and are willing to work together for the common good of the empire. In my experience."

[Luth Khalan]

She nods in agreement again. "Yes... It's very noticable, among those I've met. It gives me some hope for the future."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Myself as well. Regardless of what happens, the Empire will one day be in the hands of the next generation and we will see that it succeeds in it's goals," he confirms. "And, if you are interested, I would take you with me to that goal when the time is right and I have the power to greater influence the Empire for the better... more than I can right now."

[Luth Khalan]

"Me?" She didn't understand. Not what he was thinking, not what she was feeling about it. "You think I could help that much?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I think skilled help is invaluable. And I think that you are becoming a more passionate and enthusiastic individual. Those are traits I consider worthy of aligning myself with. I tend to prefer facing enemies head on and having a capable overwatch at my back on such actions would be welcome."

[Luth Khalan]

She half-smiled at that, chuckling a little at herself. "I guess I am at that. I'm different than I was when I arrived here." She nods slowly after a few moments. "I would be interested in that."

[Zeno Deathwright]

He stands from his chair and moves to her, turning it so she faces him. "I'm glad to hear that. We do good things together."

[Luth Khalan]

She studies his features with a warm smile, some difficult to describe emotion at the edge of her eyes. A light nod. "We do. We will, as well... Great things, I think, when the time comes."

[Zeno Deathwright]

Taking her by the hand, he pulls her out of the seat and into his arms. "I'm glad to hear that, Asra."

[Luth Khalan]

She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms up around his neck, just enjoying the feeling of being in his arms. She leaned up to kiss him with surprising depth and passion before saying, "We should probably go, though. I'm sure we both have a lot to do today."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Indeed. A great deal to take care of," he agrees with a nod. "I look forward to when we next meet. Don't let that be too long."

[Luth Khalan]

"I won't," she agrees, disengaging from him and heading for the door. "Have a good day, Zeno."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"It started off well next to you, so I imagine it will be excellent," he says with a nod. "Later."

She nods and heads out and down the hall, her chest feeling tight. Maybe she needed a physical.
