"In fact, the only one who doesn't seem to have a prominent master is Moyr." A pause. "Lord Yulo. Compare that name to Darth Marr, Darth Vengean, Darth Vowrawn."

"Prominence of rank is not necessarily a sign strength. Take yourself for example. You've said what you claimed from your master is less than impressive and you need to build on it. I myself have more personal strength than connections. We have common ground and interest, but it doesn't need to contend with each other. After all, if you kill me you don't get what I have, Zash does. And you would have taken a useful tool from her. She may or may not be inclined to take what you have in return. Thus, I believe us working together is a relatively safe proposition for me because the most you might get from attempting to kill me is a couple pieces of equipment and potentially the enmity of an infamously dangerous and difficult to remove Darth that is extremely resourceful. And I've got nothing to gain from killing you because your resources would end up in the control of whoever is over you. Plus... I've got a loyalty complex that I've been told is foolish more times than I can count. You earn it, you have it. Only by betraying it do you potentially get me attempting to rain hell on you."

He takes another sip.

"But the question becomes, what would we work together towards. And would you simply sandbag that effort, which doesn't exactly inspire real loyalty."
