[D5-MA] The Nanny II (Fildon Vil's chamber)

[Rumun Gol]

Rumun had a second appointment with Darth Xevious' son, the recently graduated Fildon Vil. The duro had a conversation three days ago with him about politics and how to better climb up the ladder of power and influence in the Sith Order.

He send a servant to inform Fildon that he has arrive and waited outside his chambers. Darth Xevious' son had enought time to think about his position and if he needs Rumun's help and council.

[Dapper Dog]

Fildon arrives fully dressed and says, "Rumun, welcome back. I am glad you came."

[Rumun Gol]

'' My lord Vil. '' Rumun bowed respectfully. '' How have you been? How Nar Shaddaa is treating you? '' He asked politely.

'' So, have you meditated and thought about your future since our last conversation? How can this duro help you?'' He asked , straight to the point.

[Dapper Dog]

"I have and I think I understand some of what you were trying to say. My father wants me to learn from you which means I am not the son he wishes me to be. I have always wanted his approval and his power. I can have neither as long as I stay as I am, so I have to destroy him so he knows that I have surpassed him," Fildon says confidently.

"My path is clear."

[Rumun Gol]

'' Good, good. Spoken like a true Sith. '' Rumun nods. '' Darth Xevious told me that I should help you to become a better Sith. If that means that I should help you to destroy him then I don't see any contradictions to his own orders. '' He says with a neutral tone.

'' To achieve such level of power and position you must be cautious but resolute, plan ahead but be flexible when you must change your proceedings.''

'' My master, Darth Hoshi, understands this way of thinking and I learned from her. Balance to keep in check your emotions but when needed you must unleash all your passion in one swift brutal controlled strike. She was able to not only crush the republic army in the Outer Rim, but also has become a beacon of change to the order.She didn't settle with playing by the rules of those who are in power. She plays by her own flexible rules and has begun to crush the 'old stagnant ways' ''

'' Understanding the darkside is complex and many get lost when travelling along its path. But if you can exert control over it you will become a true master.''

“I know that my father despises her, for a number of reasons. What is she like personally is she as wicked and cruel as they say? Does she free slaes and give them important roles in her power base?” he says with some caution.

[Rumun Gol]

'' There's some sort of misconception about Darth Hoshi's actions. Yes, she frees slaves but I don't think she does it for humanitarian reasons. She gave them a choice, fight for her and their freedom or perish into oblivion.''

'' The Sith Code describe her actions perfectly. Only those who have the strength and passion can be freed from their shackles. Those who are to weak to fight are destined to be forgotten and die.'' He said with a neutral tone.

''Besides, from a purely economic perspective, slavery is quite an inefficient form of institution if you ask me. Too prone to revolts which divert your forces instead of using them to crush your true enemies. Servitude or other sort organization would be far better. But slavery is also a good source of anger and hate, my master uses these emotions and channels them to strike her enemies. Simple. ''

'' About the brutality rumours, well, war is already a brutal situation. People tend to romanticize war as some sort of glorious state. In reality war is brutal, there's no honorable actions on the field of battle. You crush your enemies or they will crush you. '' He adds.

[Dapper Dog]

Fildon nods and says, “You are apprentice, do you seek to overthrow her when the time comes? Do you feel you will ever be strong enough to cut her done and claim her title?”

[Rumun Gol]

'' Perhaps, when the time comes. '' He said with a neutral tone. '' But for now I don't seek to do that. She is a great source of knowledge both in martial arts and in the darkside and I kinda want to continue to see what is her destiny in this intricate galactic web of knowledge and evolution. '' He shrugs.

'' I don't really know what I what, or more specifically I don't know how to explain what I want. I don't want a place in the Sith Dark Council but I do want power. But I still have not found a reason to grab that power. '' He said.

'' You have discovered your own path. Perhaps as I travel through my destiny I will finally discover what is driving me forward, like yourself. ''

[Dapper Dog]

“Why would you not want to be on the Dark Council that is the apex of power in the Empire,” Fildon replies.

[Rumun Gol]

'' I really don't know. Perhaps there are other ways into power that I have not discovered. Besides the apex of power is not the council but the Emperor himself. ''

'' But sure, deposing the Emperor... yeah, I'm not that insane. '' Rumun chuckles.

[Dapper Dog]

“The Emperor barely rules anymore, it’s the Dark Council that manages the Empire. Everyone knows that,” Fildon says.

“I want to replace my father, I know my path now.”

[Rumun Gol]

'' But he is still the Emperor. Which makes me wonder, what kind of knowledge he must be seeking to have his full attention into that research instead of ruling the greatest empire in the galaxy? Certainly he must be seeking something even greater than the Sith Empire. ''

'' It's your path. I will gladly give you advise and council. '' He bowed.

[Dapper Dog]

"There is nothing greater than the Empire," Fildon counters.

[Rumun Gol]

Rumun could have debating about that but he decided to not to. The force certainly is greater than the Empire for example.

He just nods.

[Dapper Dog]

“You don’t agree?” Fildon says.

“So given your ideas of only two Sith, what would you do with all the other Fore Sensitives if you had your way? Just kill them? That seems like such a waste, Rumun.”

[Rumun Gol]

'' I do not wish to start a philosophical discussion, but If you ask me, the Force itself is greater than the Empire for example. Without the force there would be no Empire, no Sith Order, and no galaxy as the force is the energy that binds this universe together. '' He said. ''Everything else is insignificant against the power of the force. ''

'' I never said that they should not be trained, but a master having too many apprentices is a danger to the Sith Order in the long run. Perhaps a Jen'ari could establish a rule that limits the number of apprentices to only one. Master and Apprentice. ''

'' Then the teaching between master and disciple is much more personalized. ''

[Dapper Dog]

"Is that something you are going to, or just a philosophical construct?" Fildon asks.

[Rumun Gol]

'' Perhaps both. But I can't prove such a radical theory works in real life, not right now. I suppose is more of a mental exercise. How to improve the Sith Order.'' He shrugs.

'' Change is always needed but too much change also can be dangerous and risky. One must find balance between adaptation and stability. '' He adds.

[Dapper Dog]

"You have a great amount of ideas but how many of those do you actually try to use in your day to day life, Rumun? Or are you just a philosopher and leave the execution of such ideas to others," he says with a laugh as he goes to pour some liquor.

[Rumun Gol]

'' Who knows? Perhaps in the future when I do own real power I will try to. Or maybe my ideas will influence others to act. The force acts in strange ways, predicting the future is not an easy task. '' He said.

[Dapper Dog]

"You're an interesting alien, Rumun. Big ideas and no shortage of interesting dialogue. How did you get to Korriban?" he asks.

[Rumun Gol]

'' I was brought to the academy when people found out that I was a force sensitive. I didn't knew that, but the force allowed me to influence those around me. That's how the Sith Order discovered my talent. '' He told.

'' Before that I was a slave-clerk, managing and classifying imperial archives, that was my job. That's is all I remember from my previous life. It would seem that I was captured very young in one of the opening imperial military campaigns. I do not know from where I came from or who were my parents. '' He told his story but no even an inch of emotion in his voice. For Rumun his past story was irrelevant.

[Dapper Dog]

"Well you have come far then," he says taking a drink.

[Rumun Gol]

'' Indeed. But my previous life is just that, something from the past. I consider my arrival at the academy to be my true life. Anything done previous to that point is meaningless '' Rumun said.
