His father reattaches his mask just as he enters and says in a rasping tone, “Lord Zeno, don’t you look every image of a Sith Lord.”

He did not care if that was meant to decide or compliment. He wasn't about to pick a fight with his father. "I look too young for the title. I'm arrogant and Zash knows it. The promotion does more harm than good in a society built on social power."

“Zash did you no favors then,” he reclines slightly.
“That is good, you should struggle for every inch of power you gain. Every little morsel should be earned by inches, my son.”

"A lesson you taught me well and won't forget. Each enemy defeated and scar earned another lesson.". He nods.
"You mentioned a task for the house. What can I do?"

“Patience,” he replies in his raspy voice.
“What have you done to improve the influence of our House,” he asks.

"Much of what I've focused on is personal growth since the gaining of the title. I need to be able to not be a pushover. I've expanded my understanding of leadership and command, and personal combat skills. I have been working to try and gain favor with the pirate queen in this area but that has had some rough patches before Darth Hoshi put herself in the picture. I've worked with Nem'ro on behalf of Zash, I could potentially see about arranging deals between himself and the house," Zeno replies.

“Good, I have been contacted by a Ziandra Thul and she has offered me a proposition I believe will benefit us and the Empire immensely. It will require a modest sacrifice on your part, my son. An alliance through marriage, you would become a Thul, and they would gain the backing from the Empire to reclaim their holdings on Alderaan,” his father responds.

"That's not much of a sacrifice," he says with a shrug. "A change of name does not stop me from serving. You can tell her yes, and that my wedding present will be me leading an assault on her enemies on Alderaan."

"You can tell her yourself, she will be contacting you within the day. If I had known it would be this easy I would not have come all this way myself. I detest leaving home," he says in his raspy voice.

"It's not my preference, but it serves the house. And I am sure the position will come with some political strength. The stronger my ties to both houses, the more power I can wield."

"You would be in good position, though it may require you to move to Alderaan," he says with a rasping chuckle.
"Far too sunny for me."

"As much as moving would matter," he says with a shrug. "I would do what is necessary for the alliance between houses, but I can't imagine that it would stop me from continuing my pursuit of personal power and greater challenges."
