Nar Shaddaa

As agreed, Moyr reported at the suites of the Queen of Massassi in the Imperial Compound, subduing her uncertainties.

The Queen awaits inside with her Massassi honor guard standing at attention. She rises and greets Moyr and says, "Please be at ease, blood wine?"

"Gladly. I lost a lot of hemoglobin just this evening, I need to replenish ferrum." Moyr tried to be humorous, though the carmine of her skin was more like rose due to blood loss. She was barely standing. "I am afraid your gift has been forcefully taken from me by a henchman of Darth Zash. So the first point of order would be to determine what it entails."

"That mask is important, Moyr... I take it do you not know where it is now?" she responds in a serious tone.

"Dynos Val. I think I've blocked his departure from Mezenti, now in the process of tracking him down." A cough. "Tell me how Zash can use it."

"She could..." she starts screaming asshe holds her head in pain. "She is trying.... get out of my head you witch!" Jug'tih falls to her knees and screams her honor guard coming to her side but not sure how to aid her they look at Moyr with anger.

The Queen hisses, "Aid me.... give me your strength!"

OOC: Moyr can make an Average Discipline check with a Force die check to aid the Queen.

Without hesitation, Moyr channeled her connection with the Force to help Jug'tih. But Zash's power seemed to be attracting the power of the Dark Side in the room...

"I am myself... but she knows... that witch knows everything," Jug'tih says using Moyr as an anchor.

Moyr clenched her fists and her bloodshot orbs went wide. "Then let's make everyone know everything. Full disclosure, whole Dark Council. Can we do that?"

"I will not be seen as weak," Jug'tih counters with venom. "She has made me her enemy."

"Then at least some, to make them aware of the ritual. Vengean if you trust him enough, Xevious because he's here and he despises her enough, like the other conservatives. Both voted to strip her of all titles and exile her during Thanaton's impromptu trial earlier this year. It was by a hairsbreadth that she was not punished. She has enemies who need to be aware how she's circumventing them, that she's moving to the next level. You and I won't take on her alone."

"I recall the encounter it was politics, they didn't care one wit about her it was all posturing. We could appeal to Thanaton perhaps but without something concrete he won;t dare act again that incident was damaging to his reputation. Xevious is possible but if the peace fails, he will be in a similar place. I will reach out to Vengean, but his position is not as strong as it was," Jug'tih replies standing to her full height.

"The best we can do is to make her enemies aware and set their minds on future action. That will impose some constraints on her freedom to act even if the second motion is now out of question. Unless I am missing something, here, on Nar Shaddaa, we might not have what it takes to take it back." Moyr fumed, anger sustaining her. "Unless I plead with the Mandalorians to just vaporise her in space when she tries to leave."

"Doing that will force Thanaton to strike against them he would lose face if a servant of his was killed without retribution even if he despises her he is too ingrained not to act as he should. I will suffer the loss, and prepare myself for the future. She plays the game well, I wonder how long she has been planning this," Jug'tih replies.

"Long, I think. Her gaze has followed me for quite a time." Moyr sighed. With the pain of loss the physical pain moved fully back to her awareness. She shuddered. "I think I know how to hide myself from her outreach through the Force but I can't do it continuously so in the end she catches up. Maybe I was a fool to rely on your gift in so many ways but the power gap was already wide. Now it has widened."

She looked at Jug'tih.

"At least tell me what was what I found in the sunken pyramid, how it can empower her further."

Jug'tih explains the ritual as she understand sit but again it is only a piece of the whole but the insighst do grant her some small understanding of manipulating the force to interesting effect.

Darkest Ritual: The player may tap into the dark secrets of the universe and twist the Force to gain power at the expense of their physical form. The player suffers 3 wounds as they channel dark Force energies and for the remainder of the scene may add 1 Dark Side pip to any Force die roll.

Moyr was both excited and terrified by the insight, terrified because she was excited. She knew that the thirst for power the mask had awoken cannot be simply retired and this new approach, while in many ways inferior because of the cost it imposed on the body, would not be something she would completely avoid. The question remained: was it how Zash had started to damage her mortal coil? Was it her final goal, to discredit Moyr's opposition by forcing her onto a path that would lead to where Zash was now? The realisation of the possibility shook her to the core.

"What was it what she tried on you?" She asked finally, once the lesson was finished.

"I don't know, something linked to the mask, it was an unexpected maneuver," Jug'tih admits.

"How prepared can you get for the next time? Because I think she'll try." Moyr said grimly.
