Nar Shaddaa

Moyr waited before the chambers of Darth Xevious, hoping that Salreia had done her job in arranging a conducive meeting. Her eyes were closed as in her mind she recited the Sith Creed to harness her anger.

A red clad warrior says, "Your name and your business." He puts his hands behind him and bars the path into Xevious sanctum.

"Moyr Ahaya, Sith. To report the circumstances and consequences of recent outbreak of Sith infighting on Nar Shaddaa, namely the assault by one Valos Dyn, acting on orders of Darth Zash, and the subsequent offence by Darth Zash herself on the Queen of Massassi. The information is pertinent to Darth Xevious in his capacity as Dark Councillor." She said without pause, facing Lord Valar as she opened her eyes.

"Sounds like your problem, how does this affect Xevious," Lord Valar responds.

"It directly relates to the rapid escalation of activities by Darth Zash he chose to oppose during a Dark Council vote earlier this galactic year."

Lord Valar is silent and then says, "Enter, but know his mood is... poor."

She nodded in gratitude to Valar.

I should have brought a cake.

Moyr thought to move her focus from the perspective of adding ill tidings to Xevious' poor mood. She stepped into the sanctum, maintaining proper reverence. She discretely analysed the room, looking for 'Salreia' in some corner of it, more out of hope than expectation. Her presence just might make the matter at hand a bit easier. Or not.

Xevious was playing fetch with his tuk'ata and says, "Speak."

"Illustrious Darth, I apologise if my approach is ill-timed but events have occurred which you might like to be aware of in greater depth." Moyr began, showing due respect. "Through an assault on my person via an assassin just this evening Darth Zash has acquired an artifact that is extremely likely to expand her capacity to cannibalise others' connection with the Force to empower herself. She has already attempted this against your guest, Jug'tih, the Queen of Massassi. I am Moyr Ahaya, the one who conducted investigations into Darth Zash's wrongdoings on Korriban, collected evidence on them and witnessed them first hand, ahead on the Dark Council vote on the subject. As I have never relented in seeking ways to thwart her perversions, I have become the target."

"Well Zash does know how to piss off the wrong people, but she also has the favor of the right people. As much as I hate the bitch of a woman, her exoneration by the Dark Council has insulated her from more legal recourse, the Dark Council is loathe to countermand a decision without great reason," he says with disgust.

"I would gladly see her destroyed but I would have to speak with Thanaton, as she is his."

"I realise that paying closer attention to what she'll be doing in days to come is probably as much as can be asked in the present circumstances. I am afraid that her power will be increasing and she may be using the mask she stole for assaulting powerful Sith at a distance. At this point your faction in the Dark Council is probably all that stands between her and absolute impunity." Moyr sighed. "Though maybe she'll make a mistake. For whatever it's worth, she might right now be where her assassin headed, at the Valia Morus High Rise in the Uptown. The site is currently under surveillance."

"The Queen of the Massassi is not Sith, at best she is a favored vassal. I will reach out to her and give my apologies and make amends but she is beneath Sith. You should remember that, Moyr," Darth Xevious replies.

"I shall, illustrious Darth." Moyr nodded firmly, clenching her lids to keep the anger of helplessness at bay. This was as far as she could get, and it ended here. She lost, and the taste of defeat could not be bitterest, because it was coming with futility and humiliation. "I am finding some solace that in whatever she tries in the future, relevant parties will have been warned." She bowed, expecting to be sent off.

"You may go," he says and returns to his pet.

Moyr carried her ignominy and anger away.
