[Day 1 - MA] Y'toub Space Threat Assessment Briefing

PostPosted: Fri Jun 09, 2017 9:25 am
by Watcher 5
Watcher 5 did not pace, he stood at the head of the non-secure briefing room waiting for Imperial specialists to file in and take their seats. There was a holo display in the center of the oval shaped room, the seating was along a decline that terminated in the area where he stood by the holo display.

It is dark and cool and has that clean Imperial austerity one comes to know and love.

Watcher 7 slipped back into the compound from her morning's errands. Walking somewhat stifly, she edged into one of the first seats and slid into it with a barely audible sigh.

Jo'ren decided this was something he should be there for and took a seat near the back. Haha he had met earlier that day, and then there was the familiar form of Deathwright. Made sense that he would be here too.

Moyr quietly moved in, taking a seat to the side, elegantly crossing legs. She wore a black trench coat, and no mask.

The femme sith looked impeccable as she presented herself at the Imperial compound. Hair pulled back in a practical braid, makeup that accented her attractive features, and wearing well-tailored clothes underneath the open black robe; she looked every bit the role of a wealthy and dangerous Sith.

She acknowledged the Watcher at the head of the room with a firm nod as she took her seat.

“Good afternoon, my lords. I am Watcher 5, this briefing will cover the basic information you will need to navigate the dangers of Nar Shaddaa. I have calibrated this briefing with an eye towards the Summit. This is an unclassified briefing but all information is considered sensitive and protected by Imperial decree,” he says.

“Nar Shaddaa is a Hutt controlled world, dominated by a variety of interests within the Hutt Cartel chief among is Dango the Hutt, we estimate her network in the tens of billions, though Hutts obfuscate a great deal of their holdings. She is our primary contact with the Hutts, therefore we endeavor to keep her happy.”

“She has rivals though Giradda the Hutt here on Nar Shaddaa and a long standing rivalry with Nem’ro the Hutt on Nal Hutta. Both are considered secondary interests at this time. Neither is to be harmed by Imperial assets, and that extends to all Hutts. On the subject of Rules of Engagement, Darth Xevious has made it known that no Imperial shall engage a Republic asset with force. Retaliatory strikes are allowed with his express permission,” he says as he walks around the holo display as it shows the various Hutts.

“Travel to Jiguuna is not advised without Standard Package Stims, these will be administered at the end of this briefing. Any questions thus far?” he asks.

Mention of Nemro caught his attention though he didn't show it. No combat against the republic seemed an odd idea but so it went. Jo'ren merely nodded and waited for the next phase of the briefing. He wondered why they need stims for Jiguuna...

“Nal Hutta is a Class III environment, multiple natural hazards; feral dangerous wildlife, high humidty and heat, and toxic swamps for most sentient life. Hydration is mandatory in the field, potable water is not easy to find on the surface without proper cleaning facilities,” Watcher 5 states.

“The Hutts have not improved the situation; they have despoiled the land and utilize poor resource management this leads to greater water and air pollution around the civilized settlements.”

“On Nar Shaddaa we have identified a Jedi Enclave and a suspected SIS operation most likely running out of the Republic Compound, use proper field security at all times. Priority threats are as follows; Jedi Satele Shan, Jedi Resmi Thun, and Colonel Garza of the Republic Armed Forces. It is recommended that specialist personnel keep contact with these individuals to a minimum.”

“Any questions?” he asks.

Hala tilted up her face slightly and gently cleared her throat.

"Is Col. Garza affiliated with the SIS, and have we identified any SIS operatives? I have also received reports that the SIS is attempting some kind of operation among the Mandalorians, allegedly currently targeting Clan Varad. Do we know their objective, and how do the RoE apply to counterintelligence, covert, or clandestine operations?"

“Colonel Garza is Military with ties to several off the books Black Operations. She is not SIS and we have not yet identified their operatives. Rules of Engagement for covert operations authorize lethal force as long as full deniability can be achieved, all such missions come through me,” he replies.

Despite this mornings excitement, Kristal was present. Standing near an exit with her arms crossed behind her back she allowed others more directly involved to take the seats, merely observing for the sake of important information. Through either force of will or quick medical attention, not that it mattered, she showed no signs of having already been caught in a blast. Though her hair was a touch off... maybe even a little singed.

“If you come into contact with any SIS operative you should alert Imperial Intelligence immediately and we will handle it from there,” Watcher 5 responds.

“I have forwarded a dossier to those that have come to this briefing with unclassified information briefs on Nar Shaddaa and points of interest to the Empire. Before you leave please get your Booster Stim from the droid, this should provide adequate protection from any known contagions on Nal Hutta.”

OOC: The Intelligence Dossier removes a Setback die to any Streetwise checks on Nar Shaddaa, the Booster Stim removes a setback die due to the environment on Nal Hutta.

Vec was present for the meeting, of course. Seeing as he was a trooper, it might have been easy to miss him among the others in the room, if it weren't for his ranking of sergeant. He casually listened to the information provided in the briefing and had no further questions of his own.

"Is deniability and/or authorisation necessary in case of applying lethality and other highly coercive means to unaligned, non-Hutt targets?" Moyr finally asked.

Moyr nodded. "And the procedure when our assets are successfully assaulted? I am not speaking of rank and file, but of the Sith. There were some bombings at the spaceport in the morning, so it's not even hypothetical. Are we not supposed to retaliate?"
