Already working late (MN1)

A courier arrived in the middle of the night, knocking on the door to Hala's spartan accomodations. Saying little and explaining less, she was told that she had a delivery arriving shortly from the Red Wraith and that she would be receiving instructions. Blinking sleep from her eyes, she dressed in more utilitarian fatigues and walked into a secure workroom with her commlink and limited tools.
When she was finally ready, she thumbed her commlink to the appropriate frequency and let it chirp to indicate the connection.

The commlink activates alerting her that Lana Beniko, a Sith aspirant, was on the line. She speaks, “Colonel this is Lana Beniko I have a Sith corpse here that needs your attention, immediately.”

The Red Wraith wrote:"Lord Yukan, a True Sith with our delegation, was murdered, probably ritualistically or to send the message. The body was found in the Shadow Town. The perpetrators are yet to be apprehended. The Hutt enforcers were told to stay away on grounds of this being an internal Sith affair and they listened. The body will be delivered to you by one Lana Beniko, apprentice to Darth Xevious. If the arrival does not happen, apply procedures. Either way, I want you to do a background check on Lord Yukan, and examine the body once it arrives. In addition, do background checks on one Durasay Mixo and one Galen Sol, two men who involved themselves into the affair for some reason, persistently so. Sol may or may not be arriving with Beniko."
"Lord Beniko, I am ready in workbay 3. I am also initiating queries on the deceased as well as two individuals of interest," she said, voice still slightly unfocused while her finger stiffly tapped the names she had been given into the console to bring up what information had been collected on Lord Yukan, Durasay Mixo, and Galen Sol.
(( Is that something I should roll for or will the console just give me what I need? ))

Lord Yukan was an accomplished Sith, nothing outstanding but he was a talented duelist and loyal to Darth Marr and his faction. Lana arrives with the corpse on a floating gurney.
Lana says, "Colonel, are you prepared?"

Hala keyed the door open and gently slid the gurney inside.
"Yes my lord. Did you wish to stay and observe, or was there something further you required?" she asked deferentially, her attention shifting towards getting a scanner, forensics equipment, and evidence bags ready.

"I would observe," she says.

Hala nodded and began her proceedings. She took several samples of what blood remained for toxicology analysis, then began examining the wound to try and determine the type of weapon that inflicted it. Length of blade, angles of attack, handedness, level of precision or cleanliness of wound. As she worked, she also secured any possessions which had not been stolen during the assault or picked over by the vultures after the fact. These, too, were bagged and set aside. And in this way she set about her less-than-formal autopsy and examination without squeamishness and only the occasional break to flex her right hand before getting back into the guts of the problem.

"My apologies, my lord. I don't have much experience as a coroner or forensics expert.... normally I just analyze the data someone else produced or work with human intelligence sources.... But Nikto? I wonder what the systems have on local Nikto gangs or perhaps known independent operators..." she mused, turning around back to the console on the wall where she began to type in her query.

The system is pretty poorly maintained with information on the local Nikto gangs, probably seen as beneath notice. There is a scant entry on a gang called the Scarlet Suns that have a neo-religious bent with a whole lot of violence and were considered a poor choice for utilizing in destabilizing Hutt networks.
OOC: 1 Advantage total.
Average:
2eD 1 failure, 2 threat

"Do you know anything about the 'Scarlet Suns' my lord? And would their religious concerns cause them to target a Sith? I'm not that familiar with them," she asked thoughtfully while studying the skimpy readout as if willing it to tell her more.

Just then, Hala's commlink chirped again. She grabbed a towel and wiped her hands then lifted it.
Moyr Ahaya wrote:"Has Lana Beniko arrived? Are you onto the body?" Moyr was breathing heavily after the run.
"Lord Beniko has arrived, yes. I am not able to tell you a lot that you didn't already know. Lord Yulen was renowned for his dueling and the theory is that he was killed by a primitive blade.... there is circumstantial evidence to support the theory that it was Nikto, potentially the 'Scarlet Suns'. Not nothing conclusive yet," came her reply.
"If there was a security response then maybe someone has footage of the attack that we can pull.... but I am not sure what more I can tell you from what I have on hand."

Moyr Ahaya wrote:"Can you get me a facial image of the leader or leaders of those Scarlet Suns?"
"Checking now," answered the Colonel. She set down the comlink on the terminal and gave it her full attention.
Is there an easily obtainable photograph of the Scarlet Suns leader(s)? Lore: Underworld:

And with that, the colonel pulled out her pad, connecting it to the net, started searching for any local security bulletins.
"I may have something...." she muttered as she began searching the new results.
Is there an easily obtainable photograph of the Scarlet Suns leader(s) in the local Holonet? Streetwise to know where these things are posted.:

A houk Hutt Security officer answers and says in Huttese, “This is Hutt Security, we are here to protect and serve at the reasonable rate of 100 credits an hour.”

The security officer is quiet and then says, “Why of course, looks like Dango has already seen to the details of your contract oh there it is. I apologize for implying you had to pay. Minor mistake.”
“We can have records on the Scralet Suns sent over digitally in about eight hours. Expedited processing already covered.”

"Thank you officer," she said before cutting the feed. She glanced down at the terminal and sighed heavily before picking the commlink back up.
"Did you catch all that?"
