Jin says, “Everything is so… austere and shiny here. I like it, this will be awesome for our next season. Will there be any real Sith on hand, I would love to ask them questions.”

Vec wasn't a Sith, just a Sith trooper. He had his squad pull a little overtime to their patrols so that they could add a little more numbers to make an impressive showing at the Imperial compound. After the bloody battle at the lower levels, he had every one of his troopers polish their armour and clean their weapons. Perhaps taking a page out from Vaya's playbook, there was something about acting and appearances. They couldn't quite go into combat to give her real representation, could they?

Jin waves at Vec and says, "Vince right? Wow I love the tour, is that a real gun?"

Vec cleared his throat, making a personal note to leave the corporal in charge of directing the troops while he made himself scarce for the next opportunity a pesky celebrity should drop by. "Evening, Miss Vaya. It's Sergeant Vec Gunnar. It's good that you're having fun with the tour..." Who the heck scheduled this detail? Even with the helmet on, it was clear he wasn't having as much fun as she was.

He held up the rifle for show. "Yeah, that is a real blaster rifle. We are all armed with live ammunition, so I cannot allow you to handle it. It's part of our job and we're all trained to handle our weapons at a moment's notice. The defence of the Sith Empire, and enacting its will, is our duty."

Jin smiles sweetly and says, "Do you have one I could hold for a promotion shot?"

Vec gave her a long look. This wasn't the first time she asked and it seemed to be her source of endless fascination for whatever reason. Still, he couldn't risk handing her a real weapon just because he wanted to shut her up. "Maybe, I'm sure we got one of those instructional models at the range."

He gave a glance to his corporal to make that so, sending her to fetch it. The instructional models were meant to teach handling and stripping, probably a touch bigger than the real model, but that should be good enough for a promotional shot.

“Oh really, that is so great, okay when we take the shot you have to be in the shot. Maybe back to back… we can look so badass! Can we get more soldiers?” Jin asks Vec.

Watcher 5 is silent.

Remmington soon arrives dressed in his traditional heavy robes though he has them open. He offers everyone polite bows. "Good evening everyone. So nice to see you again miss Jin. I am glad that you were able to make it." He offers a pleasant smile for her.

“Hi… Joe right?” she says to the Sith.

“I really enjoy the tour, thank you all for allowing me a chance to experience the Empire so directly.”

"Remmington Thalalas of former House Balmung." He corrects her with another introduction.

"Nice to meet you." He says to the trooper he hasn't met before and to the watcher.

He smiles and shakes his head to Jin. "Not at all. I got my first look at the Republic thanks to your show. Seems like a good opportunity to help make it better."

Layne was vaguely aware of the visit, but absolutely just did not care. She had been on site for minor and insignificant business, the kind that annoyed her to no end and caused her to stomp heavily and angrily across the courtyard. She needed something to hit. Something to exercise her frustrations on. Where were the practice droids when you needed them? Did this shithole of a compound even *have* training droids?

Maybe she could find someone to spart with instead. Wait, did they even have sparring sabers here?

Ugh... who the fuck is that?

She noticed the commotion centered around... who the fuck was that? Someone with big boobs, apparently. Figures all the guys would flock to that.

“Well of course,” she says to Remmington not really listening. “So do you have a real lightsaber, a Sith one?”

She sees Layne and says, “Oh is that another Sith, wow she looks scary! We totally need to get a picture with her!” Her small entourage, consists of a bodyguard an enhanced cybernetic human in a suit and a woman trying to take pictures… a poor Imperial bureaucrat roped into this mess.

Were they... they were! They were taking pictures of Layne! Why?

"The fuck is going on here?" She demanded to know with raised voice.

It was perhaps at this point that Vec reconsidered giving her a loaded weapon, if only to contemplate the possibility of acting in self-defense. If she waved it about, they could shoot her down, right?

The squad stood rigidly when the Sith made their appearance to the little circus show that was happening at the moment. The corporal made her return with the instructional weapon in question and checked that there was no charge in the 'chamber' in case someone managed to load it. It did look like just a larger version of the blaster rifle for show, about the size of a heavy caliber. She was ready to hand off the weapon to Jin if she wanted it.

Jin is ecstatic as she takes the weapon and then goes, "Pew pew... dakka dakka... man this is really solid. I love it, so Vince you and Joe... and that Sith, we should do a picture?"

Remmington nods. "Of course. It is one of the requirements after all."

He casually waves to Layne and smiles politely. "Nice too see you again Sith Layne. It's been a while. Oh right, you haven't been introduced yet have you."

He does some quick introductions. "Layne Hoshin of the Sith. This is Jin Vaya. She is a major star in the Republic. She is the main character of the popular show, Vera Hawke: Jedi Knight."

He idly wonders if it is a good idea to give a civilian a weapon but figures that the trooper knows what he is doing.

To Vera's question he looks at the others. "Well I don't mind taking a picture."

She approached, looking very scary indeed, and stared between Remmington and Vaya as introductions were made.

"So this is the one they call boobknight?" she asked as she looked at the woman.

Remmington thinks about that for a moment. "More or less among the rabble from what I hear."

This woman... Vec thought to herself as she played with the blaster. Not that he watched her show but he assumed that she would have known something about blasters. Maybe she had a double that did all of the stunts and action?

He looked to Remmington, Layne and Jin, if the Sith was willing to take a picture with her, it seemed he had little choice but to following along with the photo op. Where were those convenient explosions targeting Imperial personnel now? He could use one of those about now to get out of it. He cleared his throat slightly and waited for everyone else to get into position first.

Jin laughs and says, “That is such a silly nickname, but people like what they like. Alright so I am going to stand back to back with Vince and Joe you go over there and uh she can stand right here and we can all look tough!”

Once everyone complies if they do, she strikes a killer pose quite used to performing for a camera.

Once she is finished she says, “So like can anyone explain the Sith, like the real deal not the stuff on the show. I mean you are more then just evil laughing maniacs right?”

Remmington takes up a position and crosses his arms as he looks towards the camera.

"People are people." He looks over to Layne to see if she wants to explain this one or not.

Vec stood in position for the shoot and perhaps did his best to stand at a slight angle that his call number wasn't too visible to appear as if it was any other troop sergeant. He wouldn't know if it was entirely effective since he never had to stand for a picture before, unlike Jin. After that was done, he nodded to the corporal to relinquish the weapon from Jin and stow it back at the range.

Reluctantly, Layne complied. She looked like she was going to murder someone. But she always looked like that, right? Then after, Remmington made things worse by implying she should field the question.

Why am I here explaining things to this idiot?

"I haven't seen the show so I don't know what Sith are like on it," she shrugged. "The Sith follow a different path than the Jedi. One that does not restrict emotions."

"So why kill each other then?" the actress retorts. "That does not seem like a big deal."

"Ask the Jedi," she said. "They started all this by casting the first of the Sith out of their order."
