"In that case, definitely meet me here. I'd rather not pick you up in front of a bunch of Jedi."

"Hmmm..." Niall's lips twitched upwards into a smile, his grey eyes seeming to glint. "I had intended to tell you, but I rather like the idea of a big surprise. Yes. Let's do that." The smile grew. "Tell me... did you happen to bring a dress to Nar Shaddaa?"

"Awww, it would be like when you asked me to dance with you at the balls. With my parents watching. And grand parents. And our relatives." She giggled... poor Niall was bullied into a few things.

"Well.... I packed a few things..." a small, sly smile started playing on her lips. "Perhaps I have something. Perhaps not."

"It would be very much like that, yes." Niall said, hiding a smile. "Although my parents always though we were adorable together. My mother still asks about you sometimes, you know." His lips twisted. "They weren't quite as fond of Arsele, especially after the incident with the cave-in. Did you know that she joined my huttball team, here?"

"I see." Niall's grey eyes flickered down to that sly smile. A pleased one grew on his lips. "I suppose that will have to be a surprise for me, then." He leaned just a little closer. "I very much look forward to it."

"We were 4. I am pretty sure we would have been adorable as arsonists even." She giggled again.

"Cave in? I must have missed that... or just forgotten." She looked away sheepishly. As much as she liked to hold her early childhood close... even she forgot some.

Her heart beat faster as he leaned in. "Well, it seems I have high expectations to live up to."

Niall suddenly became aware of how close he'd gotten to Aly, their faces mere inches apart. He could hear her breath. He could almost feel it. His gaze dropped to her lips. "I have every confidence in you, Aly." He said softly. A beat passed.

He leaned back a little, laughing softly, his cheeks pink. "Oh, well, the cave-in was after you..." His smile faded for a moment, then returned. "Arsele had dragged me off into these caves with some sort of shining crystals embedded in the ceiling. We pulled at some of them, and... well, it wasn't a real cave-in, thank goodness. But rather more of the ceiling than I would have liked emptied onto us. Mostly dirt, some smaller rocks." He shook his head, chuckling at the memory. "I wish you'd been there. You probably could have dug me out faster than Arsele did."

Aly kept perfectly still, her heart beating faster and faster.

when Niall moved back, she felt disappointed. There is no passion, there is... the thought was left unfinished as Ni went into details.

"Oh, well I am glad you're okay. It must have been pretty. And me? Digging? You know me... I always asked you to do the work."

Niall laughed softly. They were no longer in danger of kissing, but as he shifted, his knee did come to rest gently touching hers, the warmth of him tangible through his finely tailored pants. "I only had some scrapes and bruises. And it took about three thorough baths before I was clean. But it was very pretty, yes."

He looked at her, smirking ever so slightly. "I do remember that, in fact. But at the same time, I knew I could always count on you." His expression sobered. "Like yesterday, for instance."

He looked into her eyes. "Aly..." He began. "You know that goes for me as well, don't you? I may not be a Jedi, but if there's ever anything you need, you only have to ask. Whatever it is."

She briefly looked down at his knee, brushing her own closer to his. "I'll always be there for you Ni. Always." She glanced up at him again.

"I... I know." The thought of the Thul murder crossed her mind... but she didn't pursue it." I will let you know, I promise. I'm sure you are busy as well, though? Any special assignments?"

Niall just smiled back warmly at her. And decided that having their knees touching as they talked was perfectly acceptable. And rather pleasant.

"Yes, well, a bit." Niall frowned thoughtfully. "I should probably be a bit careful, opsec and all, but... just between us?" He shrugged. His visit to the party last night had been fairly public. And he did trust Aly, after all. "I was tasked with finding out a bit more about the Mandalorians, and trying to determine what goals they have."

Nial blinked, straightening a bit as he suddenly remembered something, although he keeps his leg against hers. "Also, you wouldn't believe who I encountered at the welcoming dinner last night. The assassin from my family's estate. The one with that strange lightsaber."
