The crates had been transported to the Republic Compound, as he'd hoped, and he moved amongst them now, checking the diagnostic panels for irregularities. He didn't trust SIS with them, preferring to take personal responsibility in ensuring that each child was unharmed and Evolution-virus-free.

He'd dropped Ashla a line, wanting her help and, he would never admit to her, her company.

Ashla did indeed showed up. "Need help?"

"Afternoon," he replied, "yeah, I was just waiting on you to get started. Everything looks all right so far, but better to be safe."

He took out his datapad, the screen coming to life, displaying a background image that would be familiar to anyone who followed Jin Vaya on Instaholo: a photo of her and Cole saluting to the camera. "I'm going to connect to the diagnostic systems on the crates, they should already be networked, so if you want to patch in as well, make sure I don't miss anything?"

Linking to the crates, Cole scanned the diagnostics for red flags, and began deciphering the protocol for reviving the children.

Ashla notices the picture and her eyes narrow. Son of a bitch! Part of her considered stabbing Cole right then. Not a serious wound. Just a little one.

After a moment, Ashla responds. "OK. Let's see what we got."

"It looks like the wake up process is automated," Cole said, not noticing Ashla's envy, "I'm going to stagger out the processes, give us a few minutes to check out each kid as they come around."

He started the wake up, and the crates hummed in response, diagnostic panels flashing. Putting the datapad away and taking out his mediscanner, Cole tapped the arm of his spectacles, turning them on, "let's split them, I'll take this half. I just want to be sure that they haven't suffered any ill-effects from their ordeal."

Fortunately for the medical personnel, the children did not appear to have been infected by the project yet. It would appear that the process was done at the station itself. As for the side effects of cryogenic freezing, they were addressed with relative ease.

While the kids were still woozy and disoriented enough to stay put and not start asking questions, Cole took out his comlink and attempted to reach Vatou.

A droid answers, "Greetings how may I assist you at this time?"

"This is Petty Officer Cole Ormont, Galactic Republic Navy. I have a number of children here to be turned over into the care of the Jedi Order."

Vatou got on the line and let out a nervous chuckle. "Sorry about that. Was a bit busy with the children!" He listened to the request and then nodded. "Alright. I'll arrange for them to come in then. Thank you for your service." He gave an awkward salute.

With Ashla's help, Cole begins rounding up the kids, trying to be reassuring.
