Nar Shaddaa

Adrianaa pours herself a glass of something to drink and sits down at her desk. She scribbles a few things down on a notepad and then takes a deep breath before placing a call.

"Good evening. Senator Morindel here. There are some things I need to discuss with you about a record of one Ras Urdo, a human male here on Nar Shadda. Head of the Black Sun delegation on the world."

She waits for the call to be picked up by swirling the one large chunk of ice in her glass in a circle.

A human woman answers, "Greetings senator, I have your request this is for Ras Urdo? Is this a security request?"

"Indeed. Ive been in discussion with him about becoming an asset, SIS related. There will be some things we need to do first"

“Bringing up his file now, wow… this is extensive. Do you need a warrant; last I checked he was outside Republic jurisdiction. This guy is a piece of work,” she says on her end.

“Looks like I can… hrrm there is an SIS lock on this file, it’s been flagged.”

"Strange, I wasn't aware. Who put the lock?"

"Agent Wren Yuris, looks like this is an ongoing investigation above my clearance level, I can't do anything until the investigation is closed," she responds.

"I see. Thank you. Looks like I know who I will be calling next. Enjoy your time."

Adrianaa waits for the woman to give her goodbye and then places another call to the Agent.

"Agent Yuris, this is Senator Adrianaa Morindel. I believe we have a mutual acquaintance that I need to discuss with you."

"It's like you have the Force Senator, I was just thinking of you," the agent says.

"Oh, please don't put that evil on me Agent. Being a Politician is enough to worry about without some magic power running through my head."

Adrianaa lets out a chuckle and smiles.

"Ras Urdo. I am sure the name is familiar?

"Yep, I know who he is. I can't comment on an ongoing investigation," she replies.

"I had a meeting with him today. It was interesting. I think you might want to hear this offer out."

"I am all ears, Senator," Wren says.

"He wants to become a Senator. There is a small colony that needs representation, and the populace would vote for him. "

"Part of the requirement for this to happen is his records need to be purged."

"In return, the Republic and the SIS would have a loyal leader of one of the largest organizations outside the Hutts to do all sorts of dirty work for us."

Adrianaa pauses for a moment.

"A while back, I tested how effective they could be
Are you familiar with recent activity on Belsalvius?"

"I know that place does not exist officially," she says calmly.

"Good. Then you know about it. A while back, there was an effort made to retake a portion of the planet. The Jedi headed up the effort, but I had also sent a small Black Sun strike team in. They were incredibly efficient. Ras can give us access to hundreds of teams like those."

Adrianaa takes a sip from her glass.

"But first, you and I need to be on the same page. Ras needs his records wiped so I can start the process of making him a viable candidate. And, your investigation..."

"What do you think, can we work something out?"

"He's a slaver, a killer, and a crime boss on Nar Shaddaa, I don't want anyone like that anywhere near the Senate. I have work to do, Senator," she cuts the line.

Adrianaa scowls and takes a long sip from her drink.

"Well, that complicates things."

The Senator drums her fingers on her desk

After a few moments of silence, she places another call.

"Senator! It was great having lunch with you today. I believe we have something we should discuss. Would you be free for a meeting in person tomorrow? Please let me know!"

She hangs up and dials another.

"Hey! Remember when I said I could use your slicing skills? I might have something. We need to chat. Contact me in the morning."

Again she hangs up after leaving the message and dials one last contact.

"HX, Your services may be required. Multiple jobs. Discretion is the utmost importance."

With one last sigh, the Senator finishes her drink and disrobes, flopping down on her bed and staring at the ceiling.

"All work and no play..."

She covers her face with a pillow.

"I need a man"

After some time passes, she opens her eyes and sighs. She reaches to her nighstand and grabs her communicator one last time, placing a call.

"Captain of the Umbral Star, this is Adrianaa Morindel. We met speaking with the Pirate Queen. I am going out on a limb here, but there is something I need to discuss to you about delivering this Rodian. It doesn't sit right with me, my crew, or the crew of the Tortoise. When you have some time, please call me back. Thanks."

She fidgets for a moment with the communicator as if debating to make another call and then shakes her head and sets it down, sliding herself under the covers of her bed and closing her eyes.
