Operational Check-up (EN2)

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala turned down a nondescript corridor, following signature for a restricted area until she got to a reinforced bulkhead. She showed her credentials to the guard and stepped through into the intelligence hive behind it. She made her way to a nearby conference room and sat down, waiting for someone to arrive to speak with her. In the mean time, she pulled out her pad and resumed reading.

Watcher 5 arrives and stands silently.

"I have not received any word yet and public affairs have required my attention and a show. What have we learned about SIS actors operating in the area, and what do we know about their objectives and plans during the talks: in general and with regards to my original report that they had interest in the Mandalorians? Allegedly Captain Niall Organa has been speaking with them, and even if he is not a part of the SIS, he told me last night that he reports to Colonel Garza," Hala inquired.

"As for my operational details, I have begun building a locally sourced supply of credits for operational needs. Beyond that, I have been working on establishing good will with some Hutts, begun overtures with the Mandalorians, and provided operational support to the Red Wraith. There is a request from Corso to discredit one of his main competitors that is an ongoing effort, Aris N'ventas' death is an unknown but his next heist related to Czerka and something called Operation:Evolution, and the talks will continue. Of course there is the matter of little Celna but Senator Seir'oto did not confront me over her during the lunch meeting. There were two senators, Seir'oto and Morindel, and a member of the Republic Foreign Office, Ysslane Tssilla. Master Torsin made several overtures to her, while Darth Xevious largely kept to himself. This concludes my report."

"Coopting the Mandalorians is our primary objecctive. Do whatever it takes to achieve that objective," Watcher 5 replies in a cold manner.

"Understood. Who is the SIS case officer handing their efforts, or have we identified any field operators of theirs are? Much as I would appreciate a move against Colonel Garza, she is too entrenched to be more than a target of opportunity," Watcher 7 replied dispassionately, the east warmth of Hala fading quickly.

"We have not identified the SIS agent they have been more challenging to suss out than I like. Focus on the bureaucrat, she is more than she seems, and Captain Organa, I have flagged them as agents of interest. Our enemy will make a mistake," he says calmly.

"Do not get distracted by senseless Sith politicking."

"Disinformation campaigns are difficult without knowing where to feed information, but I will keep an eye on both. Sith politics hold little interest for me beyond what they accomplish for the Empire as a whole. I will continue undermining Corso's opponents and maintain accruing his good will, and will inform you if anything relevant arises," she agreed, massaging her right elbow absentmindedly.

"What do you need for optimal success?" he responds.

"An operational budget to help augment local currency I have been able to source in the past day. Tomorrow I will speak with Dorak Vodd's pet attack dog and see if she can be reasoned with or if she will also be collateral damage in whatever misfortune befalls her friend," Hala explained coolly.

"If we have any information on Dorak Vodd or Vora, I would also appreciate seeing those dossiers. Should anything else arise, I will convey the need to you in a secure manner. Also let me know if Cipher-6 checks in. With the increase in SIS activity, he said he was going commit to his role and go silent for a time and what happens, happens."
