Nar Shaddaa

Adrianaa walks into the front office of the building and nods to the receptionist.

"I need to speak with Wren. It is a matter of utmost importance and urgency."

She is brought to a waiting room and Wren enters after about a ten minute wait.

Wren walks in and says, "Senator, I am in the middle of an operation but I have a few moments. A major Sith is dead and we need to verify it. So make it quick."

"We seem to be at a bit of a roadblock, Whatever job you are required to do is interfering with the job I am required to do. And vice versa. Ras Urdo. His files are locked down, you are on the case, and you hung up on me before we even had a chance to discuss matters."

"I nearly have the Black Sun locked in as a Republic ally, and we can't afford to lose this one. If you keep blocking me, we will. I'm not willing to let that happen"

"Yeah... no. We are not getting into bed with the Black Sun, Senator. They are slavers, murderers... and worse. I am not sure what spice you are sniffing but that is about as stupid a request as I have ever heard. Like I said before I can't discuss an ongoing investigation," she responds.

"And if I find out you are in league with Black Sun... well I will come after you with everything the SIS has."

"There are a million things you cannot do. The underworld can. Thousands of operations have been conducted when both the military and the SIS's hands were tied, and you know it. The underworld is a necessary evil. Agent, you're a well decorated woman and spoken of quite highly. I know you aren't stupid enough to turn down the alliance of an empire nearly as big as the Hutts. Even if Senator Seir'oto and I can convince the Sith to commit to peace, we both know it will only be a matter of time before they attack again. And we've been losing."

"Walk away from this Senator," she replies calmly.

Adrianaa sighs and turns to walk away. She stops and calls over her shoulder.

"Just remember Agent. We are on the same side. You could have asked me about the dead Sith you know, I'd have figured out anything you needed to know within a day. Shame we seem to have drawn a line now."

"I'not sure we are, Senator," she responds cooly.

"The ship exploded immediately as it came out of Hyperspace no? All 765 passengers died, including Lord Baras. You won't find any culprit though. Instead, look to those who have been so keen to show up on TV the last few days. Crescent Shadow, I think they are called?"

Adrianna smirks.

"Same side, Agent."

And then she walks toward the door.
