Day 1-ME: Setting the table part 2/2 (bae's room)

[Nekoinu]

O'nera contemplated on the words for a moment. "That does make sense. I assume you learned the original code, then?"

[Baesal Zyn]

''Yeah, I learned it back on Coruscant.''

Then came the recital:

''Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force.''

[Nekoinu]

"Huh. I wonder how the change happened then." She sat on it for a while and shrugged. "I wonder if my master knows about it. It's more likely that she just didn't teach it to me."

[Baesal Zyn]

''It's history now...even if I prefer it''

She gave a sigh

''Still it proves that someone thought that the code could be improved upon. It could be improved again I suppose...but the code is only a mantra, not an actual instruction manual''

[Nekoinu]

"Right. Follow the tenants, but not too rigidly." O'nera shrugged. "Better than following the Sith Code, anyways."

[Baesal Zyn]

''The Sith Code is interesting but I think its a trap...perhaps even intended as such'' she adds

It had been a long time since she could speak freely

[Nekoinu]

"It spreads discord. It is a trap for all involved."

[Baesal Zyn]

''No...no...'' she pauses to search her words

''The last line...*The Force shalt set me free*... does not answer an important question: Free from what? Free to do what?''

[Nekoinu]

"Free to spread violence and terror, Baesal. That is why they must be stopped."

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal facepalmed at that but then began to chuckle lightly

''You are not much of a philosopher, eh?''

[Nekoinu]

O'nera scoffed. "I can think! I just don't tolerate Sith."

[Baesal Zyn]

''I can understand...'' Baes steepled her fingers

''Many have reasons to hate the Empire and the Sith...but they are not all homogeneous. I cannot help but consider them victims of some sort''

[Nekoinu]

The Jedi Knight sighed. "I shouldn't allow myself to get angry over it. Hatred is the way to the Dark Side." She took a breath and held out her palms in a meditative, self-soothing fashion. "Why do you consider them victims?" she asked with a more calm tone.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Most are brainwashed'' she simply replied before elaborating further

''The Empire's propaganda machine is a monster. If you are born in the Empire and you are not a slave, you are thought every moment of your life to hate the republic and the Jedi.'' she tilted her head

''Have you seen Zeno Deathwright's propaganda video?''

[Nekoinu]

O'nera shook her head. "I didn't bother watching such a thing."

[Baesal Zyn]

''I understand...but when he says the the Jedi are tyrants...he *truly* believes that''

She looked at her feet

''Most of them do. The though control is dominant...and added to that is the dark side that multiplies things''

[Nekoinu]

"They are brainwashed by their Sith Emperor." A pause. "I wonder if they could learn the error of their ways if he died."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Not just the Emperor'' she rectified ''The entire society reinforces this line of thinking. Killing the head honcho won't change much I suspect.''

She shruggs

''Showing them what the Jedi are truly like...now that may put some doubt in some''

[Nekoinu]

The Mirialan Jedi smirked. "And how exactly would we do that? We're not exactly trying to deceive them."

[Baesal Zyn]

''How about more casual meetings?''

[Nekoinu]

"Would such a thing be possible?"

[Baesal Zyn]

"It might be dangerous but I believe so" she said

"Many have ways with words but I think that others could find this...enticing."

She grins

"For them we are the forbidden fruit."

[Nekoinu]

"I suppose you'd know better than I would, given your experiences." She let out a sigh. "But the only Sith I've met are ones whom wanted to destroy me and all I stand for."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Yeah...These types are common like slime in a Hutt bath''

[Nekoinu]

"Well, I can't say I'd be very good for, well, whatever you have in mind. My first instinct now is to fight a Sith whenever I see one. But if you truly can make that progress with the Sith, then that's good."
