Day 1-ME: Setting the table part 2/2 (bae's room)

[Baesal Zyn]

''I try what I can'' she replies

''I've seen more then most and, while the dark side poisons them, I am convinced some *could* take more reasonnable positions. Even if they don't join us it is still a step in the right direction.''

[Nekoinu]

"Then you are much like my former master." She crossed her arms and sighed. "She never fully approved of me not taking up the same patience as her. How do you do it, Baesal?"

[Baesal Zyn]

''Knowledge'' she said

''Compassion is born out of understanding the other''

[Nekoinu]

"I feel like that's dangerous," she admitted. She leaned back in the seat. "Some things aren't meant to be known."

[Baesal Zyn]

''There is no ignorance, There is knowledge'' she replies

[Nekoinu]

"Right, right," she replied with a smile. "You're alright. A lot better than what I expected from a... From someone who trained at Korriban."

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal chuckles and points to her forehead

''Critical thinking dear. I refused to accept the Sith doctrine without thinking about it first...same thing for the Jedi philosophies.''

[Nekoinu]

"I wish I had your aptitude for it. Master Mersl always wanted me to look at it more that way." She shook her head and laughed. "Almost makes me wonder how I got through the trials." She then perked her brow and looked at Baesal. "Remind me: have you been Knighted yet?"

[Baesal Zyn]

''Nah, I'm Master Xen's padawan'' she replies with a shrug

[Nekoinu]

"Master Xen. Huh." She looked to the scattered materials about the room. "So if you do a lot of tinkering, I assume you're good at it. How good at you in combat though with your gadgets?"

[Baesal Zyn]

''I manage'' she answered honestly

''Between everything that I need to do I don't have much time to tinker with my stuff as much as I want to. I *do* plan to modify my gungan shield to make it more like a lightsaber...a lightshield?''

Her hands moves to her lekku

''So much research...''

[Nekoinu]

"Would a lightshield work? Huh, fascinating. Well, you did make that ion saber thing, right?"

[Baesal Zyn]

''Yes I did. It's quite useful in some situation...much more then a normal saber...it can disable most droids and electronics with a touch'' she explained and her lips curled

''And it has a special effect...but that's a secret''

[Nekoinu]

"What?! You can't just bring up a secret like that and not tell me!" She sighed. "That's so unfair."

[Baesal Zyn]

She nods, grinning

''Ahhhh! That's too bad!''

[Nekoinu]

"Hmpf, how rude! Maybe I should change my opinion of you back!"

[Baesal Zyn]

''That'd be a shaaaaame'' she said teasingly

''But I got a will of Iron!''

[Nekoinu]

"Guess you need that to make any progress, huh? Patience and all that."

[Baesal Zyn]

''And anyway I have the only one yet...the surprise is meant for any sith that stirs trouble''

[Nekoinu]

"Any Sith?" A pause as she thought on it. "Oh, does it shut down their lightsaber?!"

[Baesal Zyn]

''Yes...'' she confirms

''The Ionic flux is reverberated to the saber's power core and damages it. Its the only thing I know that can destroy a lightsaber mid-combat''

[Nekoinu]

"Huh. Good work then. What happens if two of them collide, like if they become mainstream?"

[Baesal Zyn]

''I do not know...but they are unlikely to become mainstream since I am the only one who can make one''

[Nekoinu]

"What about teaching it to the Jedi? I know I'd like to have one."

[Baesal Zyn]

''When I said I'm the only one who can make them...that's because I am'' she shrugs

''For some reasons nobody else can recreate my work''
