Aly chimed on Master Mersl's door. "Master, this is Alysele Cortess." She hoped the blind (?) master would have some time for her. The other day was..... bad. Like. Real bad.

The door opened to Master Mersl sitting on the floor. However, she got up and walked over to greet her guest. "Welcome, Alysele. How are you today?"

"I am doing fine... and how are you master?" She stepped in, and took a look around. She was feeling ready enough for anything, having only recently woken up.

Lyshea's room was full of clutter in the form of texts and doodads to help with her Jedi training. She did not seem embarrassed by it but she still routinely moved aside objects via the Force to make space. "I am well. It was likely best you interrupted my meditation before it went too long," she said earnestly.

"Were you using... enhancements?" was the nicest way to say it. She almost tripped in a datapad that was floating around at ankle level, but avoided it just barely.

The Miraluka smirked. "No, not this time. My usual meditations do not rely on them." She looked down at her guest's feet and then back to Alysele. "My apologies, Alysele. I hope that will not happen again."

"Only the unusual ones?" Alysele asked with a slight tease in her voice. "No problem." Finally she navigated the battlefield to a seat and took it.

"Master, I'd like to talk about yesterday. Both of the visions themselves, and the circumstances."

"Very well then. I would like to hear what is on your mind," the Jedi Master stated.

"What were your expectations, what would happen?" Her tone was neutral.

"I expected that some would become more attuned to the Force. I also knew that some would not have a good experience with their journey." She bowed her head. "I saw this as a natural occurrence. And in the end, I considered it to be worth the risk of eliciting anger."

"Perhaps next time, we should try something similar when the Peace Talks have been successful?" She offered with some sarcasm.

"Regarding the vision..." She frowned. "You underwent the same, I assume?"

"Perhaps. I am hesitant to use the technique again with those outside of the Jedi Order."

Master Mersl nodded. "I underwent a similar vision before. Yesterday, I did not undertake the full journey. I acted as everyone's guide."

"Well.. that is a wise course of action, I would suggest." She sat nervously. "What happened in your vision?"

The Jedi Master smiled. "The first time, I faced the Sith whom had defeated my first master. I let go of my sorrow and vengeance and resolved to stop him the right way. I then encountered a monster of my own creation, similar to all of you. I defeated it once I realized that it was based off of a beast I had learned about in the Jedi Archives. Afterward, I found myself on a vast snow planet. I presume it was Hoth. It was dreary and boring but I persevered.

"The inferno afterwards was certainly a surprise. I was not quick on my feet but I was able to stay vigilant for the lava's turns." A pause. "My feelings tell me you are most curious about the last stage."

"Among others..." she sighed. "I faced an opponent that eluded me a few days ago. Followed by.... something. It was a monster, made up of mirrors and shards. My saber was unable to catch it." She looked away. "Afterwards, I saw my home burn down, and my... friend... killed."

She looked up at the blind (?) master. "I... I think I understand. And yet don't. I always lived my life under pressure from somewhere, from somewhere, on how to act and feel and look."

"Ah. A different sort of attachment from the typical one Jedi suffer from. You are concerned most about your appearance." Master Mersl dipped her head. "Perhaps it is due to your upbringing. Or perhaps something else entirely."

"My appearance? What is wrong with it?" Asked the blonde Jedi in confusion.

The Jedi Master took a breath. "You are concerned about how you appear to others. You look beautiful, Alysele," she stated plainly.

"Well... I believe presenting the right image is important. We influence others not just with words, but with looks, do we not?" Once again talking to the blindish person.

"I believe you are exaggerating the point, Alysele. A good image is important but it cannot consume you."

"It does not. If we are to step up as protectors of the weak, we need to be someone that others can look up and belive that we can protect." She sighed. "I'm a Jedi, I've got this, is not always enough."

"It would appear that you allow others concerns to dictate you." The woman shook her head. "You want independence and yet become defensive at my suggestions."

Sitting silently, Alysele counted to ten. "Perhaps I was a touch defensive.... yet if I am to be independant, should I not have my own ideas?"

Okay, back down girl, back down.

"My vision has left me without an anchor on a sea, but full of possibilities. That is how I feel at the moment." She shared suddenly.

"You may certainly have your own ideas and opinions. However, I do not find it healthy if your natural response to criticism is defensiveness."

Master Mersl nodded. "It has opened your mind to new possibilities. If you do not mind, could you share what those possibilities are?"

"Fine." was her verbose response, before taking another moment to de-tense herself.

"That is it. I do not know. What does a Jedi knight do? Besides fight Sith, and meditate. Should I go forth and adventure in the stars, righting wrongs? Should I step besides a senator, urging them to do the right thing, and follow the right path? Should I wrote poems?"
