Day 5 EM: Back-up Plant

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal was walking around the compound searcing for master Thun, wondering what she had meant

[Dapper Dog]

Master Thun was sitting under a tree enjoying some tea and a light meal in the early morning. Wearing a light brown robe over a blue gown, a rather muted display typical of Jedi. She was not hard to find, as this was her favorite place to be.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Good morning Master Thun'' she said as she approched

''Sorry to bother you, but could I ask you about yesterday?''

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't see why you could not, Baesal," she says sipping her tea.

"Would you like some tea?"

[Baesal Zyn]

Master Thun's tea? OF COURSE!

''Ahem...yes please. I would love that'' she replied sitting near the master

''So...what was it all about?''

[Dapper Dog]

“You have a journey, Baesal. We all have a journey and the destination is always the same but the journey is always different. I aw that you needed to complete this portion of journey, my words would not have been as impactful or as poignant as the experience.”

“You saw what you needed to see, to face the fears we all carry with us. Deception is a Master’s right, as strange as that sounds. It’s like raising a child, dearie. Sometimes you have to lie for their benefit, sometimes they are not ready… other times they need to know for themselves and best to let them see it and decide for themselves,” she says honestly.

She then pours Baesal some tea.

She listens, frowning for a moment. The argument was sound however.

''Thank you...'' she said when the tea was poured

''The plant...was it 'planted' in the station...'' she scratched her head ''Master Xen told about being able to find it on Nar Shaddaa...he knew?''

There was a thousand questions

''What about the Light Vergence on Nal Hutta with the Black Witches...and the Hollow Lake?''

[Dapper Dog]

“The plant has been there for sometime… it grows… it recedes. The vergence keeps it alive. Or maybe it keeps the vergence alive.”

“The Black Witches are still stirring trouble on Nal Hutta, wonders never cease. There are many secrets within the Order. You will learn them in time in, Baesal. Let me guess you are determined to seek out the Hollow Lake… that is a place where evil has a hold. The Dark Side is strong there, think someone put the lake there to drown it… to no avail,” Master Thun says.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Evils must be faced, Master Thun.'' she replied, somewhat resigned

''And you said I would not have to sacrifice my plant...what did you mean? Someone might die if I do not''

[Dapper Dog]

"I have friends and they owe me things, there should be a plant in your room by the afternoon," she says sipping her tea.

"Not the plant, but one that looks much like it."

[Baesal Zyn]

She blinked as she was going to sip the tea

''Shanzi Mudo's plant?'' she asked, confused.

[Dapper Dog]

"One of," she replies with a smile.

[Baesal Zyn]

Now she was just flabbergasted

''One of...what?'' she mulled over this

''What best way to protect the actual plants then grow fakes ones on purpose''

[Dapper Dog]

“This is not the force rich variety you have Baesal, maybe a cousin of sorts. I don’t mind pulling a few favors if it helps you. Force knows, I have done my share of silliness in my day.”

“You have it right,” she finishes with a nod. “Best to keep something on hand to deter others digging too deep, and now you can hand this over to the nasty little Sith threatening your friends. Be mindful of your attachments, but also do not neglect them.”

[Baesal Zyn]

She nods, smiling and finally drank her tea

''I know I'm kind of silly sometimes...thank you once again master Thun.''

She arched an eyebrow

''But what about the plant I have? Was it put there on purpose?''

[Dapper Dog]

“It’s a mystery dearie, perhaps one that can be solved or one that may never be solved. Perhaps it was meant to come to you. That might not be a satisfactory answer but sometimes things just happen, and fretting about the why won’t change the facts,” she responds.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Could it help reduce the Hollow Lake's corruption?'' she ventured

''Maybe Hazzan found it there''

[Dapper Dog]

“I am not sure, I have never heard of a vergence being forcibly purified. It may be beyond any single Jedi or Sith to do,” she responds honestly.

[Baesal Zyn]

''I see...I'll keep that plant safe then'' she replied sipping

''Aside from that...have you heard about Master Mersl's luncheon?''

[Dapper Dog]

"No, was it fun?" she asks curiously.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Well...errrrr....'' she grimaced

''It was...difficult. She drugged everyone without our knowledge and consent...chaos insued''

[Dapper Dog]

Resmi sips her tea and says, “Well that sounds pretty… terrible. Are you okay dearie?”

[Baesal Zyn]

''I survived''

She sipped her tea as well

''But I think I was hard on her''

[Dapper Dog]

"Why do you say that?" she asks.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Many were angry and I was exasperated''

She bit her lip

''I called her an idiot...a well meaning one but an idiot still.''
