Day 3 LE: Light up the egg

Baesal sat at her desk and stared at the egg, pondering.

After a while she decided to try one again but with light, this time

[Dapper Dog]

The egg channels the force energy and then opens, the avatar forming once more. HYDRA says, "Have you reconsidered my offer, Jedi."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Perhaps'' she says

''But I am mostly here to talk some more. My initial question the first time I opened the device was related to a security concern...Surely you can understand that crafting a body for a largely unknown entity that is linked to the infamous and, dare I say, evil Rakatan Empire can be the cause for concern on my part.''

[Dapper Dog]

"Your concerns are irrelevant," the avatar responds.

[Baesal Zyn]

''I see empathy is not your strong suite, I really wonder if you are really sentient''

She steepled her fingers

''Let me explain: makeig your body will be...for the lack of a better term...an intimate process. I will need to know your specs, computing algorythms and so on to be sure the everything is compatible. Added to that there are the errors in your programming you yourself have recognised. We will need to fix that first and foremost...the device was not kept in the best of conditions when I found it"

[Dapper Dog]

"I can provide basic schematics that even you can understand, it will have pictures," the avatar replies.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Is being condescending part of your programming?'' she replies, annoyed

''You have not answered about the errors you have recognised...you can't fix that on your own''

[Dapper Dog]

“Of course I can, once I have a platform,” Hydra responds. “You would not understand the process so it is pointless to explain.”

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal massaged her skull

''This is going to be the same conversation again''

She breathed

''What about the betrayer? The champion whose hubris got him sealed away?''

[Dapper Dog]

"Now you know how I feel every time you speak," Hydra responds. The avatar adds, "That information is irrelevant. It was not effective in attaining my prime objective."

[Baesal Zyn]

''For a supposedly advanced A.I, you are not very bright''

She let out a sigh

''Do you even have a personnality? Are you sentient?''

[Dapper Dog]

"I could say the same about you, Jedi. You continue to deny me what I ask for," HYDRA responds.

[Baesal Zyn]

''You know what risk assesment is, right?''

She crossed her arm

''Having a name does not help me figure out if you are a threat to the Galaxy and the Republic and I can't take you on your word''

[Dapper Dog]

“I can simply wait for you to die and someone else will come along, it is inevitable,” the avatar replies.

“Your concerns are not my concerns.”

[Baesal Zyn]

"You are under the impression that time does not affect you...but that is wrong. Machines, even the best ones, lose efficience over time. More so if they are tempered with. Furthermore the galaxy might change in such a way that is becomes increasingly difficult to fulfill your purpose or make it outright impossible."

She tilts her head

"You are also under the impression that you'll find somebody competent enough to wake you and comply with your wishes...There is not many of that and those who have enough technical skills might be more interested in submitting you to their will as a servant rather then help you."

[Dapper Dog]

"Then why do you resist the obvious path?" the avatar responds.

[Baesal Zyn]

"Which is?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Giving me a platform, I could assist your work. Help with your quaint inventions," the avatar replies.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Risk assesment'' she replies ''In the end I do not know who you are or even if you are to be trusted''

She raises an eyebrow

''I know the ancient Rakatan could create fully sentient A.I...if you are one then this creates an entire new paradigm.''

[Dapper Dog]

"I am not of Rakatan design," the avatar replies.

[Baesal Zyn]

Okay...this is not expected

"What? But the egg is of Rakatan origin...what are you then?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I believe we covered this, Jedi Baesal," the avatar responds. "I am an inorganic intelligence, beyond your organic understanding."

[Baesal Zyn]

She facepalmed

''Try me, what do you have to lose?''

[Dapper Dog]

"I do not understand what you are asking?" the avatar replies.

"What am I trying?"

''Try and explain what you *really* are''

She sat back

''I can handle it...and even if I can't what do you have to lose?''
