He nods, "There is that option."

Then sighs, "But... it seems to be the coward's way out. Passing responsibility elsewhere when I should act... if I can tip the scale in favor of Magpie. Then is it not best to do so, even at great personal risk?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"That needs to be your call, Syl," Shaisha held up a hand. Damn, I probably should've listened to Fixer when she recommended we not entangle ourselves in this matter.

"If you choose to accept her offer, I will need to tell my people to stand down on the case, to avoid any messups. If you don't, well... guess we have a tough job on our hands."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "She is his apprentice... this should be fairly standard procedure... I'm sure you could tell your men to stand down in Vowrawn's interest alone."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Section IX's area is terrorism and insurgency... if we're not in alliance with Raven and we fail to stop her, it is likely they could be blamed. A wounded Baras could certainly do so, if only to undermine some of Vowrawn's efforts and influence, because he does seem that petty, and he is skilled enough to spin it any way he want it" she smiled wryly.

"Call it sentimentality, if you wish, but I take great pride in the well-being of the competent people I work with. Maybe Kris have rubbed off on me more than I like to admit."

She ruminated the matter silently.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"She has a tendency to do that. Make you a better person than you are on your own." He smiled.

"I will have to make my decision soon... I assume I will hear from my mother tomorrow at the latest if she intends for me to join in her plot... I will hear what it is, and notify you of my final decision when it is time."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"The sooner, the better, Syl. With Darth Baras coming soon, we're running out of time," Shaisha frowned, and something else also crept into her mind. "... Did she say anything about me? Or Kris?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Not it any detail. Not a fan of Kris apparently... but didn't elucidate further." He replied.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Not a fan of Kris?" she raised an eyebrow at that. For whatever reason? Being an overbearing mother who doesn't want her little boy to get any girl, perhaps...

"Right," she took a deep breath, "we're getting into quite the mess here, but no one said this life was easy. Still, the Force brought the three of us together and we stay connected through it, making eachother stronger... we will get through this, somehow."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain nodded and smiled weakly, "As we always do."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

A soft sight.

"Right... I should get my people to stand down, hoping they're not too deep into the mess already." For once, she looked uncertain and doubtful of what to do.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"For now... I will talk to you as soon as is possible." He replied.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"I hope this works, Syl... We have a lot riding on your mother succeeding, without knowing what Baras is doing to counteract her attempt. Only you could figure that out."

She considered for a brief moment letting Vowrawn in on this plan, but it seemed... no, not a good idea, most likely. Not until she was sure of more.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Slyvain nodded, "I will probably need to communicate with him as well. He knows of her presence, and has asked me to report on her the next time we meet... He keeps his secrets close to his chest though... I'm not sure how I could draw it out of him."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"What about feeding him false information?" she suggested with a calm demeanor, trying to figure out how to get an upper hand.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"The thought had never occurred to me." Sylvain said with teasing sarcasm.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha held up her hands. "Hey, I know how easy it can be to miss the obvious. Have you perhaps tried to get a hold of his rivals then? Baras has many, after all..."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Rivals? There are too many to count... Who do you have in mind?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"I don't know all of them," Shaisha said with a shrug. "Vowrawn is one, but I'm not going to ask him on that. You're the one trying to overthrow your master, after all, even if you have my support."

"Any in the Republic, perhaps?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I came across a rival of his this morning as a matter of fact. A Jedi named Nomen Karr... but he did not seem the type to assist in a plot for revenge. He spoke sympathetically about Baras, calling him his 'friend'." He replied.

"And besides... using the Republic to kill a Sith Lord? That is approaching the same type of treason Baras is responsible for."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Hey, the enemy of my enemy is a useful tool. Besides, if it all goes pear-shaped, at least it can be deflected to being the works of our enemies, rather than an internal thing. Just like that bombing at the spaceport."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"The bombing at the spaceport was the work of the Republic from all accounts." He replied.

"But still... I have no intent to reach out to the Republic to kill the Minister of War during a peace negotiation. I am not that self-absorbed to ignore the laws of the Empire for my own personal gain. If I were to do that, I would become Baras... I must be better than Baras. I must be the future of the Empire, and not its past."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Not seeing the point in arguing on the subject, Shaisha conceded it... it was Sylvain's fight after all.

"Fair enough. Then it is allies within the Empire you would want... what about Lord Haydriss, perhaps? She seems to share much the same opinion of Malgus when it comes to the problems people like Baras creates, and well, maybe she'll feel she owes you one after the Kaggath."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain pondered that, "Baras arrives the day after tomorrow... It does not allow me a lot of time to talk to her about this."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha nodded slightly. "There are plenty of possible allies for you, Syl. You just need to take the chance to approach them at your own risk."

"Just be aware that you will probably owe favours to some of them after this. Even Lord Haydriss, I imagine, if you get her help."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nods, "This I am aware of."
