He chuckled sardonically and pulled out a cup with the blue milkshake while shaking his head.

[Cole Ormont]

Cole is unable to relax, frayed nerves ready to snap. "I'll check on you, around mid-morning," he said past his tense jaw. He grabbed his kit, ready to leave.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Sure... be careful, Cole. Do you want an escort back?" Perhaps it was just the Imperial cool, or the Force, but she was slowly losing the shaken feelings. Even if she did sound concerned.

[Cole Ormont]

"Thanks," his hand goes through his hair, "I think I'll be fine." If anything happened, he would be far from fine, but the possibility seemed remote enough, and he was too tired to process much.

"Rest, deviless. I expect to hear that you went straight to bed after eating, and stayed there." Some of his charm and good humour was returning.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Yeah... I might just have to settle for being told what to do now," she chuckled weakly and glanced at Sylvain. "Can bet you he's going to make sure I follow through on that. Always been a pain in the neck that way."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"You're welcome." He said with a smile and crossed arms.

[Cole Ormont]

With a nod, Cole departed.

Feeling she didn't have to project confidence to put Cole at ease now, Shai leaned forward and put her head in her hands.

"Fuck... that felt way too close for comfort." She breathed in deeply. "Maybe... maybe he isn't one of the Children, after all... it was a perfect time to strike."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain tilted his head, "Wasn't too perfect with others here."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Neither of us would have been much of a threat, I think." Even if she had to acknowledge that even Sylvain could probably best her now, considering her fragile state at the moment.

It did seem awfully convenient to her that Vain might just be one of the Children, and Magpie was just offering to help kill him. Though at the cost of a debt... and the thought of being indebted to that woman did not sit well with her.

"You underestimate me far too much dear sister..." Sylvain replied simply.

"But you aren't alone."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Considering you've not defeated me in lightsaber combat since we were kids, yeah, I do have my doubts about you in that regard," she chuckled weakly, nodding in appriciation of his presence.

"I trust your day was better than ours."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Interesting... called upon by Haydriss for a bit of research." He opened up his cloak a bit, "Found a relic left by a member of a force sensitive group called the Jal Shey..."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Don't think I've heard of that before..." she gave the new attire a look over before she leaned back on the couch.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"They're a group of nomadic researchers of the force, studying both the aspects of light and dark. They specialize in matters of negotiation and imbuing objects with the Force to increase their utility."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Huh... that sounds... interesting, I guess. Imbuing objects with the Force?"

She did sounds interested.

"If you're looking for that kind of stuff, what Jo'ren and I found on Makeb might be of interest? Place was pretty strong with the Force, at least, not sure if it's a vergence though..."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He looked up with interest, "What did you find?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"A Jedi Exile some 300-400 years ago had a sanctuary there. Nothing of value there, but the ghost of the exile still lingers there, and she was not opposed to helping me. The place had a... strong aura of peace and serenity. I was thinking I'd return there in maybe some three days time, or after the peace talks are over."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "What did you want her to help you with?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"My connection to the Force."

She groaned a little in pain as she caught herself once more trying to use her left hand.

"Ever since I found that dead planet... it's like it's damaged me in some way. When I wake from the nightmares I have every night, it's just like being back on that planet. I feel nothing... it's like a sleep paralysis, except that it's not only my body, but my connection to the Force."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, contemplating, "I would like to come with you if you go... And I'm still alive and all."

He smirked, "The truth is I am seeking for any type of knowledge that will help us in our problems ahead... I know your aversion to the Light. I have no such aversion to either side; and such knowledge could be useful... especially if we can perfect its use on you before applying it to others."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha nodded slowly.

"I'm not a creature of the light, Syl. I... I can see that both sides need to exist. There can't be light without darkness. But I know where my strengths are, and the dark is part of who I am."

"I'm a selfish person."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "Exactly, but selfishness and passion cannot accomplish everything, no matter what the textbooks on Korriban say... neither can serenity and compassion for that matter. We need others to help fill our deficiencies at times... There are times for the dark to come and destroy that which is unworthy, and times for the light to heal the damage that has been done to create better things going forward. I would gladly assist you and the Empire in our effort... because if what you say about the Children is right... our options are to kill them like Magpie suggests, or repair them and continue to have their resources available. Death can be utterly too wasteful at times."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Her eyes remained lowered, looking at her injured hand.

"Most of them probably don't even know they are under his control, just like I didn't know. They're dangerous to be left on their own... and if Vain attacks me, I will kill him to defend myself... but if I have a choice? I don't know..."

She sighed. "Slavery never bothered me, but this is also slavery in a sense."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"The darkside will always seek to dominate others. There are times when that is the best option... but there are also times when the only way forward is to coax, cajole, and heal. If you are unwilling, or incapable of doing what needs to be done in relation to using the light to vanquish this foe... then I would gladly fill that role. Someone will need to do it evemtually."
