[D3 LE] Kaggaths and Slaughter are So Romantic

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I am. And Gyn is teaching me proper understanding of what it means to be a leader among Sith," he says with a nod, before checking on the meat and flipping it. "I suspect soon I'll be a bit more prepared for my role as Lord."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Yeah, you were kind of rushed into it," and Zash rushed into becoming a Darth.

"Who is Gyn?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"The gatekeeper of a holocron I found back on Korriban. She is a long dead apprentice to a Sith lord that was very knowledgeable about the force," he explains, moving back to the rest of his prep.

Feels like everyone and their kriffin' grandmothers have Holocrons!

"Ah, I see," her smile widens a tad. "What sort of knowledge are we talking about? Practical kind or the boring kind fit for reading yourself to sleep with?"

"Most of what I've been gleaning is about how to take control and lead others. Applying my will and understanding how to control a force effectively. I consider it practical as some of what she has to teach is also about self-control and maintaining a singular focus. Useful lessons, but for my position it's more effective for me to learn from her how to command."

"How much experience do you have with commanding your Deathwright pilots? I can't imagine you were given command before, being so young and all...?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Until recently, when I've gained some support from the house, I haven't been in command. I was focused on my training, both as a pilot and a Sith until Korriban. But it's an area I'm focused on improving," he says with a nod. "If I hadn't been born with talent in the force I likely would have gone through our officer training program after the pilot program, but training as a Sith was more important to the family and my father... and myself honestly."

He finally finishes the topping for the steaks, and sets it aside before getting utensils and plates ready for when the meat was finished.

"Did you do any leadership training with the Torsins?"

"Not really," she shrugs, enjoying watching him working in the kitchen as he was doing stuff she didn't know how to do. "Sylvain was their focus there, to shape into a leader, though I did learn a lot from observing... though I guess that more than anything else taught me the value of being quiet and attentive instead of being the one in the limelight."

Shaisha chuckles a little. "Syl likes the spotlight, and he's good at talking with people. As kids, if the three of us wanted to get in somewhere, it was often he who could talk to the right person, or persuade the security that we totally had a right to be there... usually, it would be my idea. And then when things got too hot, as they often did, Kris was usually the one who got us out of there."

"Well, it's nice to have friends with different skill sets I imagine. When you hang out with people in pilot training everyone knows how to fly, fix ships, astrogate and shoot," he chuckles at that. "I tended to be the odd one out with my saber training. But it sounds like you got yourselves into a fair amount of adventure."

After prepping the food, he went searching for something to drink, and located the blood wine. He held a bottle up for her to find out if she was interested in that with dinner.

"If you think it will go nicely with the meal," she nods.

"But yeah, we got into quite bit of crazy stunts and adventure. There was a reason the parents called us the Terrible Trio," Shaisha chuckles fondly at the memories. "I really miss those simpler times."

"I have to say, I prefer now to my childhood." He pours a couple of glasses of the blood wine and sets them down before walking over to her.

"I didn't know you then, after all." He leans in and kisses her for a moment. "You make life more exciting and enjoyable."

"Heh," she accepts the glass with a grin and pecks a kiss on his cheek. "True, life has become much more interesting after meeting you."

"And filled with better food than I'm able to cook myself too!"

"Well, don't be too disappointed when it's not as good as what you're used to. I'm confident in my ability to follow a recipe, and this is one I've done many times before, but this isn't what I trained for either." He smiles at her as he goes to make sure the steaks are finished cooking. He turns off the heat and then plates everything, spreading the relish or sauce or whatever one would call it on just a small portion with the rest being on the plate so that it could be used as desired.

Carrying both plates to a table and setting them down for the two Sith. "I imagine my cooking won't be as delicious as the taste of your lips on mine. But we can have that for desert," he says with a wink.

"And here I thought you might've filled up on it as appetizers!" Shaisha says with a laugh and takes a hearty first drink of the bloodwine. The taste instantly made her remember so much from Yavin IV... the exhilirating landing, Jo'ren coming back different from his meeting with Exar Kun, Zeno's breakdown, Syl's mess, her own triumph against the Emperor...

"This brings back memories," she murmurs and swirls the content around a little, as if it was a fine wine. "I think I need to go jumping in parachutes again like we did at Yavin IV. That was pretty amazing."

Taking a drink of his own, he smiled at the thought. Though the mention of the parachutes actually reminded him of what he had been doing just before... with Sinea. "Memories indeed. Some great, some less. But it was an exhilarating experience overall," he says with a nod. "Chuting was a lot of fun."

"But, I've got some here already, and making more. We should definitely try to top them."

"Absolutely," she grins and cuts into the steak eagerly. "Only been three days on this blaster moon, and already feels like a kriffn' week has passed. Even with moments like this to relax and have fun, I feel like I've done nothing but working since I landed."

Judging from her expression, she seems very satisified with the meat.

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I know what you mean. This diplomatic stuff, and working with the Hutts, and dealing with pirates... it's all taking a lot of time and effort, mostly in areas of expertise I'm not used to."

He starts on his own food as well, pleased with how it turned out. It certainly wasn't 5 star cooking, but it tasted good, was hot, and would certainly be filling.

"Mm, this is good," she says, even forgetting her manners as she talks with food still in her mouth.

Taking a swallow, she continues; "yeah, and that's not even half of it! Sith business, investigations, a little bit of skullduggery here and there, twirling the Republic representatives around my finger." Shaisha smirks. "If none of these Jedi see the truth of the Dark Side before we leave this moon, then they're just in denial."

"Well, the Jedi are the remnants of the order from way long ago that at least had some that understood the truth. You can lead a dewback to water, but you can't make them drink," he says with a shrug. "And a dewback that won't drink should probably just be put down. No point in letting it dehydrate itself slowly when it's death can be more useful than that. Too bad we can't do that here."

"Really a shame," she nods, taking another bite of food. "I'd love to see their reaction to the Kaggath today though. Shame it had to be kept in the dark from most of Nar Shaddaa, though I fully expect to see some of it on the news."

"The Jedi I've met so far have all been.... different. Alysele, haughty and arrogant, I think I probably just have to tell her how much better she could have it as a Sith, she'd be over before the galactic year finishes. Ashla, seems more sensible and clever, but I got a feeling she also shows an interest in the Sith and our philosophies, but I'm not so sure she would so easily the the truth. And lastly... a Jedi Master I met in Shadow Town on my way back from the compound. He was... rather interesting. Perhaps the most interesting of the three of them, but also the most stubborn and set in his ways."

"I haven't met any jedi yet," he says with a shrug. "My interaction with Republicans has been limited to a few I fought some pirates with. The crew of the Night Saber. Adrianna Morindel seemed to be the one in charge."

"The PR-hungry Senator?" she chuckles. "So... what's all this about pirates then?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"When I came in, right out of hyperspace there was a merchant freighter under attack by pirates. Myself, the Turtle and the Night Saber took out the pirates. I figured the Hutts would appreciate the gesture. Thaya Kess, the pirate queen at Seven Devils didn't. But she invited the three ships to speak with her to smooth things out. Offered a job to help find a lost Hutt treasure ship which is a decent chunk of change. Though I'm more interested in potentially developing a connection in Hutt space, so I'm going along with it. But if you want, it might not be a bad thing to use that information, that a Republican is working with pirates in Hutt space, to potentially create internal issues. Should you find the opportunity. I can't imagine any Imperials would really care that I'm doing so... but Republicans might take issue with her dealing with a known pirate threat and someone who regularly maintains large numbers of slaves," he explains between bites.

"Is that so? I will certainly keep that in mind... considering how hard she seems to hound for good publicity, it's probably good blackmail material." She thinks about it as she chew her food.

"Just be wary with these Pirates if you're cooperating with them. Chances are high they'll form up against you, especially if there's profit involved. Have you passed this info to some of the more politically savvy people in our delegation?"

"Not really. I've been cooperating with Moyr on it because part of it is locating a mark that had information, but nothing outside of that," he replies with a shrug. "I'm not too concerned about the pirate threat. I'm less concerned about profit and more about developing a potential working relationship with someone who has a bit of power in Hutt space."
