A great way to wake up (EM, D6, Shaisha's)

Jo'ren's eyes slowly flickered open to reveal a place he did not immediately recognise. His limbs were tired but he felt surprisingly good. The previous day had been an epic adventure, full of twist, turns, and explosions.
Looking around he noted the feeling of luxury. This was probably the most comfortable bed he had ever slept in, not that he ever had trouble. Putting himself up on his elbows he looked around and gradually began to remember the previous night.

The bed was empty save for Jo'ren, but it was far from tidy considering the previous night. The door to the bedroom had been left ajar and Shaisha's voice could be heard in a conversation as it drew closer.
"...Newsfeed seem to be all about this Crescent-something gang though, as you said, so it's possible they could be working with him. Unknowingly, perhaps, even. Right, go clock in for some sleep, Anthy, and have Paz notify me if there's something that requires my attention."
Whatever the call was about, it was ended as Shaisha peeked into the bedroom. "Oh, you're awake?" She slipped the commlink off her ear. "Sleep well?"

"Like I'd never slept before. Ugh, what a day." He looked up at her and grinned. Given their height disparity it was one of the few times she would be able to look down at him. "What a night!"
Slept blinking he added: "Did you sleep at all? Or go straight to work?" Well, they said that Imperial Intelligence never slept.

The smaller Sith took the few steps between the door and the bed and crawled up into it and towards Jo'ren. She hadn't really dressed up much for her 'work' either, wearing only a tank-top and underwear.
"What a night," she echoed with a grin, settling down next to him. "Had to oversee some stuff while you slept... guess I'll be catching some cat-naps during the day, but it's not like it's the first all-nighter I've pulled. Even if you made it very difficult to get out of bed." A small kiss is placed on his bare shoulder.
"Even have a few new battle-scars, I noticed..." she purred. Not that she hadn't left some bitemarks and scratches on him either, but they would fade sooner.

"Fifteen terrorists, a missile launcher emplacement and two tough battle droids yesterday. Plus the Huttball and all the sex. No wonder I slept so well."
He chuckled as she traced his new scars. "Some Jedi gave me that on Vengean's command ship at Gorios. Fought well, still died. That's how it goes. Oh and that one's a through and through from a sniper rifle that didn't count on my deflecting the shot. Should have been through my head. That guy got a proper beatdown when I caught up to him."

"I didn't see battle droids on the news, so it seems like you had another adventure in addition to saving a damsel in distress."
Her arms wrapped around his neck as she pulled him in for a proper good morning-kiss.
"Wish I could say that my day was as exciting as yours, but on the bright side, you were definetely its highlight. And you being here now sets a high bar for today."

He laughed. "Yeah, not all of my adventures make the news. And I do set a high bar, it's true. Glad you came out to play last night, what a great game."
His thoughts returned to the last time they'd done this, many months ago. "I like this new place better than our rooms on Coruscant. I'll have to ask Vengean for an upgrade."

"You should, seeing as how you're a good and loyal apprentice," she said with a playful laugh in her voice. "Though there might be some more competition for you now with a new influx of apprentices... if it's really true that Baras is dead."
She certainly didn't seem to think it was likely.
"What's been the word on that whole situation in your camp? Chaos as it seems to be everywhere else as we try to determine the truth of it?"

"Too disciplined to be chaotic. I'm going to speak with my master today and find out if he needs anything done. No word yet so I'm guessing everything's well in hand."
He gave her an amused look. "There's no way Baras let himself get blown up in a transport. There's something going on and he needs anonymity to do it. That's my guess. For the time being it likely puts Layne and Sylvain in my camp." And maybe that's part of Baras' plan too...

"Well, I might be biased, but you'd probably find Sylvain good to work with. He can be a bit too serious sometimes, but he does do what is best for the Empire..." her fingers twirled some of his hair around, seeing as she had him here in her arms after such a long time. "You should take advantage of having such a hard worker on your team until things become more clear."
"But yeah, I doubt Baras is dead. Just a shame that he seems to be causing more trouble dead than alive... but enough about dead Sith Lords," her gaze wandered over his form. "We could have some breakfast fixed, ooor have some more fun before we brave the day?"

"Does it have to be one or the other?" He left the questions about Baras and his apprentice hanging and pulled her down. "We should spend our time wisely. There's a bounty I think we should take, on Makeb. Sounds dangerous..."

"Oh, I like the sound of something dangerous," she giggled as he pulled her down. "... And the Jedi Temple you spoke of? Considering two birds with one stone...?"

"Yep, exactly. Everything in one place. Seems worth trying it out." He laughed and kissed her.
"The bounty is for an assassin who killed a Hutt, so it's probably crazy dangerous. We'll need a good team. I hear there's an Imperial soldier in the delegation. Vec Gunnar? Seems a smart pick."

"Hm, Vec seems like a competent guy. Not a good card-player, but he did decently in the Kaggath," she nodded approvingly. Of both his suggestion and his move to kiss her. "Good to have someone to provide some firepower to our lightsabers. And I will have some of my contacts look into this assassin... see if there's anything useful to be aware of."
Her eager hands already begin to wander over his form.
"Maybe someone like Kristal? Force knows she's gotten me out of a pinch before."

"Yeah, that all sounds good to me. I saw the guy shooting up some fools in the Kaggath, seems useful to have around. And Kris, haven't seen her since the sixes, she's handy in a fight." He grinned at the pun.

"Nice to have someone who can shoot when we're standing a long distance away with our silly lightsabers." She giggled, though it broke into more of a proper laugh as Jo'ren pulled his joke.
"Oh... oh, I wouldn't say that one around her, if I were you. Unless you like to tempt fat... right, how silly of me, I know you like to tempt fate!"
