Nar Shaddaa

Hala sat at the bar, appetizers ordered while she sipped on some water and waited for her.... date? She had dressed in a different manner than normal. Her pants looked military enough, as did her shirt, but the jacket on top was politely styled with full sleeves yet lacking rank insignia, epaulets, or any other sign of military origin.

Z's first thought was that he should of taken her shopping, it almost appeared as if she had thrown a newly bought jacket over some of her military clothing, still it was a effort in the right direction. "Pant's suit you, but I was half hoping for a skirt." The younger man teased as he slid up beside her. "You look good Hala, it's nice to see you in something casual."

She turned around, an apologetic smile on her face.

"I'm sorry Zane," she said conciliatorily, "I had appointments before and afterwards. Didn't really have the time to run back and put on something more.... showy? I did find this dress though, if this first time works well. Yeah?"

She nodded to the spot next to her and looked back at him.

"You having something? Dantooine dewback, was it?"

"I can understand that Hala." He offered with a light chuckle as he took a seat beside her. "Sometimes our schedule doesn't allow for all the things we wish for."

Turning her way he smiled. "You remembered, I'm impressed. That's more something I order when I am uncertain of a ladies tastes though." He paused for a moment. "I'll have a gin martini, dry, with a twist of citrus."

"Tevraki whisky please, neat," Hala asked the bartender before turning back to her company.

"No, sadly it doesn't. It's... it's certainly been a day."

She chuckled and shook her head then started rubbing her right elbow gently, lifting it from the bar where she'd been leaning against.

"A lady after my own heart, that's something of a favorite of mine." He offered after she placed her order.

"Oh? that sounds a bit depressing, nothing too terribly bad happened I hope?" His eyes moved towards her arm as she started to run her elbow, bit he didn't comment. No real reason to.

"Politics, this and that," she said in a tired tone of voice, "Met with several Republic representatives today. At the very least I was spared having to deal with the Hutts too? Small favors, I suppose."

She lifted her glass with her left hand when it arrived.

"Cheers?"

He smirked. 'That all sounds exceptionally boring. It seems your back to it after this though?" That seemed a bit depressing. Taking his own glass he lifted it in the air, offering her a smile before adding his voice to hers.

"Cheers!"

"I am, but at least I was able to carve out some time for myself in there somewhere yes?" she replied after sipping her drink.

"What have you been up to today?"

He sipped his own, placing it back on the table. "You certainly did, and it's nice to know you included me in it."

"Today? Not much of anything really, but then my evenings schedule is usually busier then my days."

"I'm glad you could make time for me too," she said with a smile.

"Fun evening, or work evening?"

"A bit of both honestly. I'm off to another locale after this. I'm going to try my hand at introducing two of my friends . They're both single and looking, so it's my hope that things go well for them, at least on the short term. That's more work for me then anything though." He'd have a date as well, but knowing Arali it wouldn't go well.

"And you're in the love business too," she said teasingly, "Mr. Zane, you continue to surprise me."

He smirked. "I can't satisfy every woman out there all on my own." He replied in a equally teasing tone. "So I help a bit where I can, when I can." He shrugged. "It's enjoyable in a way."
