Something to Thy for [D9, EA]

[Layne Hoshin]

Layne waited at what one could only assume was one of the more affordable food vendors in the district; and passed the time by stuffing her face full of food. Not that she imagined the people she was waiting for would overly mind that though.

Yslane arrived alongside Thy. She nodded to the Sith, but waited to let Yulani speak first.

[Thy Yulani]

Thy greets Layne, "Hi, Sith. How are you?"

[Layne Hoshin]

Layne finished stuffing the last bit of food into her mouth as she noticed the two women approach. And slowly swallowed as Thy made her introduction.

"Huh," she began once the last of it was in her stomach, "You look pretty much the same."

[Thy Yulani]

"It is really getting weird how many Sith think they know me," she counters. "This is how fights get started."

[Layne Hoshin]

She smirked. It was a surprisingly amicable one too; by Layne's standards. Not that they'd know what those were of course.

"You mean you don't know why they think that? You don't even have an inclination? Nobody's told you?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Probably that holocron..." she says with deflated sigh.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Holocron?" Yslane looked at Yulani with shock evident on her features. "They made a Holocron of you Thy?"

[Thy Yulani]

"It's a really long story.... well not really, but I like to believe it is a long story," Thy replies.

[Layne Hoshin]

"It was quite the plaything for our class. Changed hands a few times."

[Thy Yulani]

“That is just creepy… let’s move on. So you wanted to talk to me, the details were light so I am interested to know why you wanted to meet. Is this like for an official purpose or you want to swap recipes? Because I hear the Sith have these little crème filled cakes that look really, really good!” she says with excitement.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Perhaps we might dispense with Sith pastries, Master....." Yslane adds with a sigh.

[Thy Yulani]

"Ahem of course, serious and to business," Thy adds.

[Layne Hoshin]

She shrugged. "No official purpose. Hearing that you were here, I just had to see for myself."

Layne seemed to lean in forward a bit, as if to study Thy's features in more detail.

"Your holocron was almost mine, but at least I'm on good terms with the person who has it now. Not that she's managed to get too much use out of it. Its creation was an accident, wasn't it? No secret knowledge on it."

[Thy Yulani]

"Probably?" is all Thy can respond.

[Layne Hoshin]

"You don't remember? Pity, I'd have liked to learn how you did it. Although I don't really have a whole lot of us for it just yet I suppose."

She looked between the two, considering.

"The Jedi seem quite diverse in their personalities."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Master Thy is....unique among our number," Yslane managed a small smile, "Perhaps not the best example of a typical Jedi."

[Thy Yulani]

"It was by accident, it was not on purpose and this was like twenty something years ago... relatively. It makes me feel awkward that people even found it, worse still that it was Sith, that kind of makes my encounters with some of you make more sense," she says with thought.

[Layne Hoshin]

"We did figure out it was by accident, yes. Still, some people managed to get some use out of it. I myself did not, unfortunately. I think your alter-ego could tell I was lying to her."

[Thy Yulani]

"Yay?" She replies awkwardly.

[Layne Hoshin]

"In my defense, it was my belief at the time that I had to."

[Thy Yulani]

"And that has changed?" She asks.

[Layne Hoshin]

"In a sense. Your holocron had been in the possession of another of my master's apprentices. He is quite skilled in the art of manipulating others. Not as much as my master, perhaps, but enough to be a concern. I'd hoped your holocron could help me secure a defense against him, but he's turned out to be less of a threat to me than I thought he'd be."

[Thy Yulani]

"Well... this is an illuminating snapshot of Sith life," she says with concern.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Paranoia is instilled in us from the start. It is not uncommon for students at the academy to try and kill each other. Sometimes students even get killed by teachers. I myself survived 2 assassination attempts by our overseer on Korriban."
