The Sky is Falling (Day 9, LE)

It wasn't as nice as the Jedi gardens and there were many decorative aspects that made it all seem somewhat artificial, but the park was a little larger and served a similar purpose in helping Galen calm himself. As long as there were no locals around to look down on him. He was sitting next to a reflecting pool, wishing it had fish, when he heard the first explosion.

Looking up, he saw the barge spinning out of control and crashing through buildings as it plummeted towards the park. Passing overhead, it crashed into the ground and plowed across the grass and concrete. He had no idea what was going on and he had doubts that many could survive something like that, but Galen began moving towards the downed barge, inspecting bits of wreckage as he passed, looking for anyone he could help or anything else of interest he might find.

There is a long trail of destruction and wreckage. Hutt security is doing their best to keep the peace but it is a madhouse.

There was a lot going on. Anything could be found in the wreckage, but his first priority was anyone trapped or wounded. Reaching out with the Force, he sought out any signs of life around him.

With a sighting of Magpie being reported, Shaisha and other members of Section IX, who were not out of commission after the bombing, had followed the barge all the way to its violent stop.

"Snow, look for anyone still alive," she told Anthy as they hopped off the speeder. Shaisha didn't care so much for the civilians or other bystanders that might've been on the barge, but her attentions were instead for important Imperials.

Galen can sense someone trapped under rubble.

Galen immediately began clearing the rubble.

"Make noise, if you can! Guide me to you!"

He put all of his strength into it, straining to move the debris.

The Red Wraith snuck into the area, and while her intention was to remain unseen it didn't work out well, at least for some people who were paying attention. Perhaps those people were allies in what she thought about doing...

Moyr was drawn to the same place that Galen was as he dug out a wounded trandoshan mercenary wearing colors that matched that of the Hutt agents in service to Dango the Hutt. The mercenary hisses and says, "I thought I would die here far from the gaze of the Huntress."

"Looks like it's not going to be your fate." She nodded to Galen, then looked at the Trandoshan. "Were you involved in all this or just bad luck?"

The security guard says in his native language, “I was pulling security when everything went to poodoo.”

"Is there anything we should know about the barge as we search for survivors? Guests? Hazzards? Cargo? Anything else?"

As he asked, he called on the Force again to see anything the guard might not wish to divulge.

His surface thoughts are focused on his survival scattered and angry. He says, "This was Dango's pleasure barge, you loot from her you might as well put a blaster to your skull."

"No worries, we're no looters. Did you see anyone on the run before it came crashing down?"

Galen looked the guard over as he continued to clear the rubble, checking to see how serious his injuries were.

Kristal arrived by speeder, finding the mess that lay in the wake of the Barge's speedy descent. Scowl worn, she looked over the scene from a high point.

Spotting Kristal, Shaisha moved over to her friend. "No sign of Magpie, it seems. Unless she's somewhere in the pile of debris and rubble."

"Bunch of Imperials and Sith I think, but then everything went to hell," the guard hisses. "We got the hell out once the explosions started... or we tried."

The guard seemed well enough. Galen left him to Moyr's questioning and continued to search through the debris trail for anything else interesting.

Shaisha nodded in response to Kristal.

"We should at least look for survivors of our own kind, trying to get a read on what we've lost." She waved over to Anthy who was looking for survivors as well. "Snow! Get word to the others to set up a perimeter, to catch anyone fleeing the scene for questioning."

Her people comply though the Hutts are building their own cordon as well. There are survivors here and there but many more dead, many killed before the crash took place, blaster injuries or lightsaber wounds.

"A proper response," she says to Shaisha. Not speaking much to avoid revealing her concerns.

Stepping out into the mess Kristal aimed to do her part in seeing someone see another day.

Letting Kristal use her senses, Shaisha moves out and relies on her eyes instead as the scanners in her helmet feed information to her.
