Aly looked around nervously, before pulling her cowl deeper into her face. She entered the apartment building, trying to be unobsturisve. Double checking the number, she went up, and stood in front of it.

She was standing in dangerous waters, but... her family needed her. That was all that mattered.

"Basil Thul. This is House Cortess."

The door slides open to a luxurious apartment in disarray. It looks like there was a party here or a war it’s hard to tell.

A brief frown spread on her delicate lips, before she withdrew to her stoic mask again.

Her hand moved towards her belt, where her saber was worn, but she didn't draw it just yet.

"Hello?"

“Back here,” a male voice calls from what you assume is probably a bedroom.

She slowly walked towards the back, after closing the door.

Meanwhile, she looked around the room, surveying the damage. Which was a lot.

She stopped at the bedroom door, took a breath, and stepped in. "Is this special treatment, or an every day greeting of your guests?"

Basil is lying on the floor by a fireplace with sheets and the bed has four more people on it in various states of dress. He yawns and says, “Oh wow… I thought you were the delivery guy… did we order a delivery guy?”

She clenched her fists. "You ordered special delivery from Alderaan." She glanced at the other people.... no clue who they were.

“Oh man, wait… you are House Cortess right? Maybe? Throw me a bone here,” he asks.

".... Yeah. As I mentioned at the door, the delivery was signed by them." She hoped the drunk and asleep people will just recall something about a stupid delivery.

She glanced at them nonetheless. "How about we make you something strong for your morning. Away from here."

“I got slaves for that, let’s talk on the balcony, it has a killer view… oh damn it’s raining, well let me put on pants,” he says and puts on loose fitting pants and then grabs a bottle of wine from the floor.

“Had some friends over things got a little wild, if you see a monkey lizard around here let me know.”

She couldn't her the groan in, before shrugging and waving for him to lead the way. "I think it ran out when I entered. Or something did."

She glanced towards the kitchen. Slaves? It seems they're pretty regular out here.

Her hood protected her against any rain, at least for a while. "So... I heard I should talk to you."

He takes a drink standing in the oil slick rain and says, “Yeah… refresh my memory.”

"My family are interested in a potential friendship with yours. We're here to meet on that" She looked him up and down. "I was told you're interested in a meeting. How has Thul been, the last few decades?"

“Oh yeah… yeah,” he says snapping his fingers.

“Thul survives, we have been denied our birthrights, chased off world, having to live off the craps of the galaxy. You know nothing too terrible. But things are changing, the winds of opportunity are flowing our way.”

“So yeah, so I think we should get married. Thul has considerable wealth and you have access to Alderaan, I would become a Cortess.”

She looked at him blankly. That was the super idea? Oh wow.

"Do you know who I am?"

"No, should I?" he asks.

"So you want to marry someone you don't even know who?" Her voice was even. "And Alysele Cortess. Jedi knight."

“Oh, well obviously you will have to leave the order, easy,” he says taking a drink.

"If it woukd be easy, I wouldn't be a Jedi, don't you think." She ran her hand through her hair. "So, who are you exactly? Where do you fall in succession? What do you do?"

“Oh my father is head of the house… me I am the heir; I stand to inherit it all, why else would I be here. In essence I would take the majority of the house with me and we would be wealthy and all that. Have a child, done,” he says taking another drink.

“Then we petition to remove the ban from my remaining family, I don’t understand all the details, but marry some pretty face have a kid is good enough for me.”

Well..... this is awesome so far. Your enthusiasm is appreciated." Her voice took a more pleasant tone."House Thul is doing well since its exile then?"

"I guess, I just spend the money I don't care where it comes from," he says in response.

"Ah, I see." What an idiot. "I was told that you're a soldier?

“Well I know how to fight of course, if you are concerned.” Basil smirks and says, “I know how to handle myself, though why I would take the field when I have soldiers to die for me is beyond me.”

"I am sure there are many out there who still harbor grudges. Always worth it to know how to handle yourself." She eyed the man p and down... his stance and his mannerism. And his body.

"Allying with Thuls is a grave risk. It's not one made lightly." She withdrew her hood the blonde locks falling free.

"So I'd like to know more of what I'm, and my house is getting into." She looked into the room, gesturing towards inside. "And I would appreciate some hospitality.... like something warm."
