Makeover! (D3, ME)

(In the shopping-area)

Rather than dragging Kris to the seedier parts of the moon, Shaisha picked a more exclusive place with more expensive shops in the more refined parts of the Uptown. She had promised her friend to take her shopping, and it wasn't all that often the two of them got together alone... especially these days.

"So..." Shaisha grinned, keeping the conversation friendly and light for a the moment. "What's it been like, serving under Darth Marr? As dreamy as you thought it would be when we were still in the Academy?"

"It is everything I thought it would be," she said in response, keeping up to Shaisha's side. Adding with a light smirk, "If only the Republic decided to entrench themselves on a tropical world now and again it would be perfect."

"What of yourself, Shaisha? How have you found your time under Darth Vowrawn?"

"It's been... a learning experience," she said with an amused nod. "Very different from what I had thought it would be to serve under a master when I first entered the Academy, but I find him to be a good master to serve. Same values that we three seem to have, but also with a good sense of humour. He's picked up on my strengths and weaknesses, and continues to push me to better myself in different fields."

Not only did she seemed to have grown a little physically, as she had almost caught up with Kris in height, and the heels of her boots gave her a slight advantage even in that departement. But she had grown as a Sith as well.

"I'm sure we could see if the front could be moved to some tropical planet instead. How'bout Yavin IV again?" Shaisha grinned.

"No no," she said, shaking her head, "think Beach. Perhaps a large ocean world, with endless beachfront in every direction," she finished with a light smile.

"You've grown Shaisha," Kristal commented, looking at her friend. Deciding on a light tease, "Perhaps Vowrawn has inspired you so greatly you have even become taller to match?"

"I hear Manaan is lovely this time of year," she chuckled playfully.

Kristal's comment did make her smile a bit more fondly. "... Thanks. Coming from you, that means a lot to me, you know. Guess my body needed to grow more to consider my bigger ego."

"Well I am, for one, glad your body grew to accommodate instead of the alternative," she teased. Looking ahead at the upper districts much nicer storefronts, "Now, Shaisha, where were you taking me again?"

"Here!" she said with a grin and gestured to a store that looked rather posh and expensive. "I checked some of my master's notes on establishements in the area, and this came up. Suspect he might've done business here himself."

As they walked up to the entry, Shaisha shot a smirk at Kris. "Not gonna get you something frilly of course, but you really should have something nicer to wear for formal occassions. Or just walk around in some impressive battle armor - that works too."

"Battle armor would be far more effective than anything I imagine I will find here," she comments as she looks at the store front. Glancing back to Shaisha, "I am glad you already surrendered the effort to get me into something frilly, however. That was not a fight I would have had the patience for today," she admitted with a light smile to soften the statement.

"Still.. without you I think I would be rather lost in a place like this."

"And to think you were born to a noble family," she sighed dramatically as they stepped inside. From what they could gleam from the racks, frilly was not an option here, but it ranged from slinky black cocktail dresses to elegant suits for both genders.

"Knowing you, you'd probably still prefer something that allows mobility... so no skirts. Maybe a suit?"

"I have no qualms with skirt," she said, stepping inside and looking about toward some of their dresses rather than the suits. "I was raised in a noble family after all," she said as she glanced over her shoulder with a light, playful smirk.

"Though those parties were absolutely dreadful."

"Some of them were. And some of them still are," Shaisha agreed with a chuckle. "You've no idea how much time I've spent attending all sorts of social gatherings the past months... at some point, many of them just blend together in your memories. Though, there are always some who stand out."

She gave some of the clothes an appraising look. The quality certainly was impressive. "Personally, I've come to appriciate clothes that allow for surprises like hidden weapons or other things. Though I guess you haven't had much need for such under Marr latey, huh?"

"No, I am luckily in the position where I do not have to hide such intentions," Kristal said as she stepped forward to a dress, testing it's fabric with her hand. "When I enter a room everyone knows why I am there and exactly what is about to happen."

"I am certainly happy that I no longer have to pretend to be interested in stories that have no interesting value to them."

"Aw, so there's no social affairs at all there? That sounds... a little boring. I mean, action is fun and all, but don't you guys do anything to unwind then?"

She nodded at the fabric Kris was testing out, though the color wasn't the best one for her. "Any colors you prefer?"

"I am not sure, what do you think is best Shaisha?" she asked. While Shaisha thought, browsed, she continued, "Non that are required, and certainly not parties of that nature. I find my peace in time alone, time spent training, as of late. It is perhaps not the most interesting way to spend time off but when work has you crossing blades and dodging blaster fire, some quite can be appreciated."

"Oh, I know that well. But sometimes, letting loose, have fun with some loud music and lots of drinks, is also fun." Even some of the parties with Vowrawn were pretty private affairs with only his apprentices and other followers. And they tended to be much more relaxed than the ones that included potential enemies and rivals.

She looked Kristal over once more. "Hmm... Red and black looks good on you, and they're traditional too. Grey is safe, but boring. White could change things up a little, if you want... but I think dark colors would suit you better than bright ones. Or maybe I'm just biased."

"I trust your judgement Shaisha," she said, walking over toward some of the darker colors. Looking between both red and black she found herself with a greater appreciation for the one she found less flashy, more elegant, black. Looking through a variety of dresses Kristal was leaning toward more reserved ones but seemed like a little encouragement could open her up to the idea of having a little bit more daring.

"Then perhaps you will have to show me some of these times while we are here on Nar Shaddaa, if we have the occasion? It would be a shame to let a dress like these sit around after only being worn once."

"Perhaps in a few days time once things have calmed down a little," she said, hand thoughtfully touching the bone spur along her jaw. "Then I can see if I can throw some get-together for the interesting people here. You and Syl, of course, some of these Republic people that aren't too bad and some of our more interesting graduates from the Academy. Anyone you would like to see there, perhaps?"

"No one comes to mind," she says passively as she pulls up a dress. Something, basic. Placing it against herself for Shaisha to pass judgement on.

"Hmmm..." Shaisha was really trying hard to picture Kristal wearing it. "It does leave very little room for the imagination, being that form-fitting. Very unexpected choice of you, Kris. Felt sure you would go for something more... loose-fitting."

"Can always try it on, of course. That's usually much better than just looking at it like that." The pureblood picked out a few others for Kris to try.

"Think so?" she asked, framing her thought.

Taking the other two Shaisha picked out she moved over toward somewhere to change. Coming out first in the first of Shaisha's picks. It was comfortable, loose, but didn't lend itself well to her confidence much. Something that was in short supply as Shaisha would note about her cybernetic arm, revealed without the sleeve. Perhaps a long glove would fit, but not exactly with this outfit certainly.

Still, she did her best showing it off for appraisal. Clearly uncomfortable with how exposed the cybernetics were to be seen, how truly robotic they looked without the glove covering her arm.

As Kristal was in the changing room, Shaisha was nearby and looking at other possible dresses.

The sight was a little jarring... though not more than it had been when there had been no arm there at all. And Shaisha mentally kicked herself for having forgotten the detail of Kristal's arm when considering a sensible dress.

"Hmm... Maybe I was thinking what would look better on myself instead," she deflected with a small smile and reached for a nearby one that had caught her eye. "Maybe something like this instead?"

Kristal was hardly the type to find insult where there wasn't, and her discomfort hardly allowed her to disagree. With a quick nod Kristal took the new suggestion and slipped off into the changing room yet again.

Exiting the room again, this time she was much more confident. Turning at angle to allow Shaisha to appraise it properly, even turning around so that Shaisha could see the back. "What of this one?"

"That looks much better. Gotta show off those impressive back muscles you've worked up!" she said and awarded Kristal with a grin, especially since it seemed she like it too.

"Damn... sometimes wish I had those kind of muscles. Only one I've seen sport something similar is Jo'ren, and he's a giant to boot."

"Perhaps you should do more self training and less of those parties, hmm?" she said with a slight tease. Though, notably, she had on the leather glove she usually wore. It wasn't perfect with the dress, of course, but it wasn't an eyesore either. Simply something a bit more notable.

"Hmm, maybe so," she chuckled warmly. "But how do you feel wearing it? Uncomfortable or...?"

Maybe some new gloves too.
