Nar Shaddaa

Zeno sat in a relatively nice restaurant in the commercial district, something local with quite a few favorites from the area. He awaited his dinner date's arrival.

Alysele arrived at the restaurant. She was wearing her usual robes. She was feeling nervous... but all was in the name of peace!

Peace. Really.

The hostess showed her to Zeno's table. "Greetings. I hope you haven't been waiting long?"

He looks at her with a straight face. "Only for about 45 minutes."

"Fashionably late?" She asked, her own face straight. "Perhaps I should go home then..."

"I'm just playing, Alysel," he says, rising and moving to pull her chair out for her, giving a smile. "I wonder though, do you believe I would wait 45 minutes at a table alone for you? What would that say about me or you?"

"That you're awfully patient." She smiled, and took a seat. "Or desperate. Who knows.... I am just guessing." She crossed her legs, and brought up the menu. "So... have you chosen yet?"

"Only a drink," he says with a chuckle. "And lovely company."

He starts looking through the menu himself.

"Oh, I wasn't the first choice then?" She smiled. "Hm.... Bantha steak. I don't think that's native?" She glanced at hi. "What are you drinking?"

"Well, how could you possibly expect me to choose easily between the many interesting people in my life? Compared to that, picking from the hundreds of drinks available is easy." He chuckles at that.

"Oh? You seem lucky then, in more ways than one." She placed the menu down. "Any recommendations?"

"Well, among my friends the people you'd most likely get along with..." he says, smirking while he pauses. "I will suggest the same thing I'll always suggest to you. Try something you've never tried before, spice up your life, and enjoy the world. That's what I'm doing."

"Well then... steak it is. Let's live a little, as you say." She smiled. "What will you be eating?"

"I'll be trying the scurrier tips. I've heard good things," he says with a nod, waving over a server so they could put their orders in.

"Oh,what kind of good things? Speaking of which, how has everything been since we last spoke?" She waited eagerly for her fatty, meaty, steak.

"I've been well. Dangerous people, violent situations, moon shattering bombs... you know, the normal dangerous stuff Sith do. As for the scurrier tips, they're brought in from Tatooine, and they're apparently quite delicious. "Tender, savory and the sauce they're served with is quite good as well."

"Moon shattering bombs? You live an interesting life." She glanced over the drink order as well. "Oh... they have something from Kashyyk. Dare I?"

"If you didn't would you regret not taking the chance?" he asks with a playful smile.

"Now I will never know." She ordered the Khashyyk Brandey. "Let's give it a try. Have you tried it before?"

"I haven't. But I look forward to trying it with you." He smiles pleasantly at her.

"Well then. Looking forward to that. Has your opinion changed of the peace talks since we last spoke?"

"I believe that my opinion will not sway the talks," he says with a shrug. "Not overmuch anyway."

"Oh? Yet you are a lord, are you not? Where does that sit in your society?" She put the menu away, and put her fingers together.

"You have voice and power, or not?"

"Many have voices and power. There are many lords present, many being supported by Darths and Lords elsewhere. Each has their say, and the final decision is made by Darth Xevious with their input. The people here answer to the council and Emperor and are entrusted to act on their behalf to achieve a diplomatic and political end. So I have a voice, and it will have an effect, but I am far from the strongest voice."

Alysele nodded in understanding. "I see... I thought being a lord was a bit more unique." she smiled. "And do you want to become the strongest?"

"All wish to be the strongest and most capable at whatever they do. Do you not wish to be the strongest duelist and knight so that you can defeat any enemy you face?"
