Nar Shaddaa

Figuring that it would be easier to take care of things now while he was doing the prisoner transfer, Zeno goes to the commercial district and rents some geological equipment. He would likely need it for the task given by Zash. He lets the proprietor of the store know where it is to be delivered and pays the equipment rental fee.

As coincidence would have it, Layne was not too far off from where Zeno was... spending the exact same amount of money. She was spilling credits for less scientific purposes however, grabbing herself a bunch of refills on her supply of stimpacks. The rate she was going through them, people might start thinking she was a junkie.

"What the fuck? It should be 200 credits, not 300."

She was no fool. But the shopkeeper insisted. Something about increased protection fees ruining his bottomline and needing to compensate. Or something.

"Whatever," she finally relented and handed over the money.

Zeno passed by lane and recognized her for a moment. He gave her a nod of recognition but didn't say anything.

"Well, if it isn't Darth Zero," she said. "Didn't even know you were on Nar Shaddaa. Can I get your autograph?"

She was almost certainly being sarcastic on that last question. She was Layne after all.

"Layne. Heard your master exploded. Hope it's not causing too many problems." He doesn't seem to care at all about the prodding.

"Heard your master sucks souls. Hope yours is still... oh wait never mind, you don't have one."

Zeno simply turns and walks away, without saying anything, apparently not interested in exchanging barbs.

Layne shrugged, and went back to browsing the stores. Maybe there were some cool mods she could pick up.
