The commercial district is one of the wealthier and busiest areas on Nar Shaddaa, lots of corporate research and development labs with no oversight or regulation makes this popular with pharmaceutical, military applications, and droid manufacture. The Hutts court industry with non-existent regulation, low taxes, and a no questions asked attitude. Some firms even relocate their corporate headquarters to Nar Shaddaa.
