R&D Department of the elusive, obscure Black Star. Moyr observed the now-familiar logo from a distance as her and Hala approached the building.
"They deal with sophisticated military installations, operate on the right side of regulations, keep respectability among corporate partners. And yet, very little is known about what they actually do. Their CEO is virtually unknown. And the most interesting part is that they may be somehow involved in our boss' recent... preoccupation elsewhere. I wouldn't worry too much if his daughter was not getting usurpatory and if I did not have a bad feeling about this. A Force feeling. That it may end with him being dead."
Moyr had told Hala before they reached this spot.

The structure is clean and tall, perhaps a hundred stories though not all of it was Black Star. The streets are busy and lit by a dizzying display of moving imagery from ads, neon holograms, and the passing of speeders.

Moyr casually approached the building as if she worked there, or at least was a frequent client of one of the companies occupying the skyscraper floors.

In a similar kind, Hala walked nearby. In uniform but not full dress protocol, she watched the people she passed and observed the buildings with pointed interest until they arrived at their destination. Pausing for a moment to confirm, she walked through the door and proceeded to whatever attended the lobby.

The front doors open and the lobby is busy but not crowded with a guide to the tenants just inside the door, Black Star is on floor 45 through 47.

Moyr proceeded to the elevator, expecting Hala to catch up. Looking at the panel, she tried to discern if any of the floors between 45 to 47 require a security code to get the elevator open there.

Floors 46 and 47 require some kind of security clearance but 45 is open to the public.

Moyr chose 45, but at the same time tried to discern what level of clearance was required and whether it was difficult to bypass it. It was not meant to actually challenge the system, just to assess the level of security.
EA2. What level of clearance? Skulduggery.:

It's a custom system, probably needs a physical key card or something similar with varying levels of access.
OOC: It probably needs a key card or something device.

Tinkering no more, Moyr waited until they would reach 45th floor.

"I wonder if someone would take us on a tour... they might, depending on how sensitive the material up there is..." Hala mused.

"Well, certainly high-profile military representative of a galactic power at war is worth their time." Moyr smirked under the mask.

The lift reaches the correct floor and opens to a spacious and austere reception area. A twi'lek woman sits at the front desk.

Moyr entered and let her lekku be unconstrained by the hood for the purpose of communication. She raised the tip of the right lek for a greeting, though she spoke out in Basic.
"This is an out-of-schedule visit." She spoke with calm resolve, letting her tails communicate extra-verbally. "We would like to meet the authorised representative of the office. Colonel Moraal of the Imperial Navy will provide you with necessary information."

"A contract has fallen behind schedule. I require someone with sufficient clearance to discuss sensitive projects for the Imperial Navy and an appropriate location to discuss said sensitive information. Would you please notify whomever will be required for this discussion, miss?" Hala said in a somewhat considerate tone of voice that still emphasized expediency over any human concerns. She switched the hand she held her cap in and ran one gloved hand slowly through her hair before popping her neck and returning her attention to the receptionist.

"Or at least this has been our impression. If there is a misunderstanding, we would like to know it and clear it up."

The receptionist says, "Why of course just a moment please while I reach out to someone to handle this matter."

"Thank you." Moyr paid attention to any shifts in the surroundings before she would reach out through the Force to look for her master's pattern.

"Thank you," Hala said before taking a step back so as not to crowd the receptionist while she did what she needed to.

A slim faced human male returns in a suit and says, "Hello, Bali Ghos. I am the head of Public Relations and I am hapy to receive you, what is the nature of your inquiry? We are not doing any tours today but I would be glad to answer your questions... oh it's you."
He looks at Moyr and says, "I suppose you are here to see the weapon system? No need to be coy, we were wondering if you would show up. The contract was a bit unorthodox. This way, Miss Tarno. You will be impressed with the system I assure you."

"Hopefully. After you, Mr Ghos." Moyr replied professionally, reconsidering her earlier thoughts in light of this development as she followed the man.

Mr. Ghos takes them into the lift and says, "This was a fun project, a real challenge for our team. I think you will be impressed with the results."

Halas face betrayed a bit of shock but she recovered and settled in behind Moyr.

"There was a reason your company was chosen, Mr Ghos." Moyr offered a conditional praise. "May I assume it's completed? Has the prototype demonstrated any flaws during testing? Have you already compiled the full documentation?"

"It meets the exacting specifications, we only have the one but we could produce more at a fee or you can do so yourself with the schematics. We will of course provide you the documentation," he says before the lift doors open.
