(D6 LA) Do You Hear the People Scream?!

Once her statement was taken Baesal excused herself and noticed Layne...in worse shape then usual. She promply moved toward her but did not chose to interrupt he conversation with that Z guy.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Fanaticism is just another form of stupidity," she said. "And you have to be stupid to attack a room full of people when there's a couple of sith among them."

She scraped her tongue with a finger again. The taste still wasn't going away. Midway through her scraping, she noticed Baesal coming over, and with her free hand gave her something approaching a half-assed wave of hello.

The wave was returned

''Hey there Layne...want me to fetch some water and a bowl to spit in?''

[Zanebry Varliss]

Reaching into his pocket he produced a flask and offered it Layne's way after checking over the seals on it. "This might help."

"Might want to use it to wash out your mouth before swallowing though."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Water would be great," she said. "What was that stuff anyway. I can't feel my face."

And then there was a flask, and she grabbed it. Then took a big swill and started swirling it around her mouth. By the time she was done, there'd either be a bowl in her hand to spit into. Or it'd go out on the floor.

Because fuck manners.

[Vec Gunnar]

Vec raised a brow at the mentioned name that was given to him by that insufferable celebrity and shook his head, "Nah. Sergeant Vec Gunnar, or OT-422. One of those. Remmington? All right. As for me, I'm standing and I'll be all right. I'll stick just a little longer to check up on my squad, or whatever is left of them." He said with a thumbed gesture behind him.

He wasn't exactly in good shape but declined any aid to get checked up. It seemed the sergeant was convinced that he would be able to walk it off. Seeing as he was out of the gas, the took off his mask and clipped it on his belt. It wasn't his but it made for a good souvenir. "They're dead now, so I'd say those few won't be fanatic for any cause."

Layne wouldn't be the first to spit on the floor, Z had already beat her to it. Still he hopped Baesal would return in time with a bowl, a lady should be more delicate then that. Reaching around to another pocket, he retrieved another flask and offered it to Vec. "Want some?" He asked before taking a drag from his cigarette.

The bowl and water came soon enough at the price of a beautiful flower arrangement

Layne wasn't delicate.

She did spit in the bowl though.

"Thanks."

''No problem...a hell of an happening'' she took a chair near the the assembled people

''No one has artificial limbs in need of repair?''

[Zanebry Varliss]

Layne wasn't delicate, but it was still more ladylike then spitting on the floor. "I've still got all my original pieces, but thanks for asking." Z said in reply to the cute young togruta.

[Vec Gunnar]

Vec let out a small snicker when Ne'bry produced the flask. "You've managed to read my mind, I'd say that's a fair trade. Much appreciated," he said as he took the flask and gave a small shake to sense how much was in it. It wasn't his intention to drain the man's personal reserves. If it was full, he would take two swigs. Otherwise, he kept to one sip.

"I'd say that's the best medicine after a fight," he said as he handed him back the flask.

"No need here," he said to Baesal with a tired way of his hand. "Some damaged plates but requisitions will take care of that."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "Good job trooper. It is nice to meet you Sargeant Gunnar. I hope things with you have been well... aside from the recent attack of course."

He offers a polite now to Baesal and Layne. "What happened out here Baesal?"

Then he looks over to Layne. "It's not much but you want me to do some 1st aid on you Layne?"

/ Can Layne still get healed? /

She shrugged to the question.

She turned to Remmington to answer the question as best she could

''A terrorist group attacked the place with poison gaz...but you already knew that. They took an hostage and sliced the security system to stop anyone up here to do anything but thankfully Captain Organa stalled them long enough for me to vent the gaz by wrestling with the system..."

She grimaced ''Sadly I could not do much more in so little time and when they noticed that their plan was failing they executed the hostage. Senator Morindel then caused a terminal in their room to explode in retaliation.''

She paused and shook her head

''After this happened the senator threw a fit at Captain Organa and then Col. Tight-ass threw a fit tying to steal the slicing device from the senator's hand. When the senator defended herself the colonel yelled about how this was an act of war and yaddi-yadda and tried to make off with the device before I stopped her. She likely going to try and frame us for political reasons, of course''

[Vec Gunnar]

Remmington nods. "Good job trooper. It is nice to meet you Sargeant Gunnar. I hope things with you have been well... aside from the recent attack of course."

"Thanks, Lord Remmington," he gave the Sith a small nod and gave a look at his surroundings, shrugging noncommittally. "As well as they can be around here. Especially after that detail with miss celebrity. It almost makes getting shot hurt less, yeah?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

The flask had been mostly full, there had been no need to nip at it during the wedding as there had been plenty of alcohol provided, "I'd have to agree, nothing quite like it." He murmured before taking a swig himself and offering the flask to anyone who might want it.

As the talk turned to the incidents he quieted down. Not surprised in the least that the two sides couldn't get along, especially in the face of a crisis. It really gave him a lot of hope for the future of these peace talks....

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala watched the goings on without stepping in to contradict. Instead she pulled out her comm device again and began coordinating the relief effort with Dango's forces and the Imperial contingent stationed on the moon above.

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington expected as much from Layne. He pulls out some bandages and tries to do what he can for now.

He listens to Baesal's explanation while he works. He nods once he is done. "Thanks for the update Baesal."

He looks over to Vec and chuckles a bit. "She seems to be a handful. I wonder how much creative control she actually has over the show. It seems like you ran into her before though."

[Vec Gunnar]

"I don't care what she does on her show. She does none of the stunts, that's for sure," he said with a noncommittal shrug. "Yeah, ran into her during my ride here and she somehow managed to cozy up with the right people in the Empire, I'd imagine."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "Well I guess she certainly is an interest piece for the Empire. I am guessing that they don't have a weapons expert available either considering she had no experience holding a real weapon."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I can't say I'd expect a actress to know how to hold a gun..." Z added as his eyes turned towards the two. "Or a light saber for that matter, I don't expect it would be easy to find a jedi who would teach her for a t.v. show."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"I'd expect one too." Remmington replies. Course Imperial tv is probably drastically different.

"Though I can see no Jedi wishing to show her how. Honestly though, I was expecting that she at least be one of those people I heard about, those who fail the tests to become Jedi. Makes you wonder what happens to those people no?" He asks.

[Arali Zian]

Arali half-listens to the conversation as she goes from patient to patient, most of the major wounds taken care of as best current resources are able.

"The tests are to become knights," she corrects the Sith. "Not Jedi."

"Are there any tests to become Jedi? Or people who do not wish to?" Remmington asks.
