As he was speaking, she was nodding and taking notes at her datapad, smiling broader and nodding more vigorously at his mention of liking Twi'leks and awarding a discount. Her lekku tips wiggled slightly, the tips curled up.

"I think what you have right here can meet my needs. Two canisters may be about right for I have in mind, but for now it is contingent on additional calculations if you have no problem with partials. The price is fair, I appreciate the confidence. I don't want to get ahead of things too much, but I think once this is concluded and done we'll have opportunities to conduct business together again."

She looked up at him.

"Where are you staying on Nar Shaddaa? Or do you have a preferred place to meet there?"

"I'm glad to hear that. Take your time to figure out what your need are and get back to me with the details when you're certain." He smiles and motions towards the spaceport. "I'm staying in my ship at the moment, the Noxious Dream. You can either send a message to me there or to my datapad, and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm available."

"Very well." She finished her beer and slammed the glass onto the spilled foam. "This is how I'll reach out then." She lifted her form to extend her hand. "It was a pleasure, Mr Khan."

Javagus stood and shook her hand. "Ms. Syndulla. Lookin' forward to hearin' back from you."

"Safe travels."

She left the creds for the drinks on the table, put on the jacket and adjusted the wraps to seal her body from humidity before walking out into the toxic, sticky heat of Nal Hutta, soon disappearing in the spaceport crowd. But crowd was crowded, and quiet spots were hard to come by.

So she decided to just play a chatty girl no-one will pay attention to, and hide in the open by entering some boring store with blase owner.

And it worked wonderfully. The owner probably had chemically impaired senses. She flipped commlink on, and selected to trace Zeno out there.

It doesn't take long for the call to connect.

"Moyr. Been a while. What's up?"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"A while indeed. I think I saw you during the intel briefing, what dispelled my doubts whether you've come to the Smuggler's Moon. Has your master taken care of keeping your agenda roster full, or do you feel like getting involved in some.... hmmm.... current affairs?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I've already started some work on what she has for me, getting a text from Nem'ro. So I'll be spending a bit of time on Hutta. I'll be heading down after the banquet looking for a Hutt target. But I can definitely make room to help you out. I'm glad to. No matter what bad blood is between us I've made it abundantly clear to her that I won't act against my friends and she'd have to kill me first. So, you know... if you ever can't get a hold of me she's may be planning something against you and I'm dead."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"I appreciate it greatly, Zeno. I'd prefer not to see you dead though, given how you seem to be the bulwark between me and her vindictiveness. That distrust that has bred between us throws a wrench in many of my plans and I am not happy about it either. But it's not only about life and death, but also about information. It's been before. The question is how much you're going to be telling or not telling her. I am not interested in her being easily intimate with what I'm doing."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I wouldn't tell her anything, but you know how strong and capable she is. She's not here so it's not like she can pull anything from my mind without me knowing. While we're here and working things during these talks current information is safe. Just be careful not to mention future plans that you wouldn't want her to know. I wouldn't tell her but that doesn't mean she can't find out." He seems fine with that. If not knowing helps keep his friends safe then he doesn't need to know.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"All right, that will have to suffice. I am willing to make a leap of faith here, knowing you to be honest with me about it." She paused. "Before we proceed, I need to poke your mind a little. You didn't speak up during the briefing... What's your take on our official purpose for being here? Are you willing to play along how Darth Xevious wants us, or follow your own path on this?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Peace is a lie. But I'm not much of a diplomat or negotiator. I've spoken with Lord Haydriss about it. I'm still not certain what the way forward is but I know that in these talks both sides will be jockeying to come out of them with advantage for their side. I'll contribute what I can to make sure that the Empire comes out on top. That is what is most important. I'd prefer to grind the Republic into dust, see the Jedi destroyed, the Senate eliminated and their military force crushed. How that happens is not something I have control over, only something I can contribute to. As long as that goal remains in place, whether through clandestine operations or whatever, I'll assist how I can."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"I see convergence between you and me, but I also see how your dedication can be instrumentalized by those who are willing to sacrifice the core principle of the Code for the right to be complacent, gluttonous and passive. The Dark Council is divided on this. Of the progressively minded, only Darth Hoshi is committed to continued war effort." She paused. "And your take of the Hutts? Are you more inclined to put pressure on them or let them dictate our conduct in Hutt Space?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"You've read the reports and know how our military feels, the Deathwrights are a military family, and I was raised a military man. Bring them under the Empire or crush them. Their resources would be better put to use bringing the galaxy to heel and eliminating the Republic rather than feeding the greed of the Hutts. But their pride won't let them simply be ruled and they'd fight against a conquering power."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"So producing a reason for the Empire to intervene because they have lost the control over a key nexus of galactic economy due to a popular rebellion would be something Lord Zeno Deathwright would like to contribute to?" She chuckled. "Or that at least would likely make them bend because of the risk of such an intervention. Or promise of assistance. After all, it would be immensely harder for the Republic to provide support for the Hutts against a popular uprising crying for abolition of slavery. Especially if the Mandalorians were suddenly... unavailable for hire."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Fighting a proxy war in Hutt space. But a popular uprising in Hutt space would be easy enough for them to quell themselves. Harder if the Republic were backing the revolters."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Or something that looked like Republic backing to the Hutts. That would give us options. Besides, it's already happening, Zeno. There's a bounty on the head of an Evocii agitator. So it wouldn't be too much work once inroads are made."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I'm currently hunting such an evocii for Nem'ro. Someone calling them self the heart-eater."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"And I may take out the one Kidaja wants dead. Both give us plausible deniability. I wouldn't ask you to let him slip away but if you could squeeze him a little for information on how the Evocii networks operate it would be auspicious." She smirked. "Such repressions often breed more terror, however. Radicalisation. Imagine what would happen if the rebels acquired means to take out one of the kajidics in a spectacular way."

"I'll keep that in mind during my hunt. I've also got some business on Kintan. Relatively minor but if you have anything there we could schedule something."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Nothing there. In fact, most of the things I need are in this system. They just have big price tags I don't have the funds to foot at the moment."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Credits aren't limitless," he agrees. "Anything specific you're looking for?"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"I have already found it, and have made preliminary arrangements. The credits are the lingering issue. In the price range of up to a dozen thousand."

"Can you potentially arrange to exchange services for part or all of the price?"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"This is a corporate partner, so quite unlikely. I don't enjoy scrapping around for funds too much, but it looks like this is what I am about to do for this to come to fruition."
