Outside, much of the crowd was staring blankly at the conference hall where the attack was occurring. Security was doing their best to slice into the grand door but it was clear that the system was shut down for them.
The masked Sith, for her part, was slashing the door repeatedly with her lightsaber, barely leaving a scorch mark on it. The air around her was sickly, chilling, each swing of her blade became more and more desperate.
"This course of action will not help."
Lord Haydriss span about to the Jedi. "
Then do something other than standing around!"
The Jedi Master dipped her head. "My apologies. I will continue searching for a way in."

OOC: This is meant for the delegates outside of the hall during the attack. Can add others to the scene as desired ^^

Darth Xevious frowns and says, "I suppose it isn't a good wedding until someone is screaming in agony. Usually that happens in the bedroom though."

"Another entrance perhaps?" Galen suggested to Lyshea. "If this is the Crescent Shadow, they may have a way to reinforce their people inside."

Baesal shuffled around in her garnment looking at the security systems
She lifted up her dress Up to her knees and reached inside to get what she had hid there.

"They have been growing quite bold. I was told the other day the attack on Lord Baras was from them. Though one has to wonder how they could have infiltrated an Empire vessel. It exploded as soon as it exited hyperspace."
She looks to the ground with sadness in her eyes.
"What a waste of life."

The Togruta recovered her utility belt and buckled it back on her waist. She looked in her purse and nodded before going around the room inspecting the security.

The Miraluka nodded. "There must be. However, I am more concerned that I did not see this in my visions. I suppose I may not have seen myself in danger." She got down into a meditative stance and remained silent.
In the meantime, the security panel seemed to be rejecting any inputs from the personnel managing it. It appeared that not only had they hacked the system but also rewritten it entirely for their own benefit.

He rolled his eyes a bit as Lyshea began to meditate. This would be something to discuss later. He didn't have any skill with computers and his blaster rifle would be no more useful than a lightsaber, if he had it. So, he asked one of the security staff about other entrances. He knew they were all likely to be just as fortified, though.

Noticing the trouble with the system, Adrianaa steps to the security team.
"Need a hand? What seems to be the trouble?"

As so many get locked out in the attack, Arali looks to the Sith lord and shakes her head. "Reinforcing a door is cheap! Reinforcing a building is not. If the door won't give, step right!"
She draws her new, two-handed lightsaber and ignites it. One of the benefits of her new design over her old method of using a training emitter? She keeps the classic setting.
The twi'lek studies the building's design, finds a viable stretch of wall, then sets to the work of carving a path.

Hala took a step back, looking for any exposed windows, upper landings or balconies that might yield alternate roots for insertion.

After gritting his teeth for a moment, Niall stepped to the front of the crowd. He raised his voice, speaking commandingly to the assembled guests, working to clear those milling about from the area, and get them to safety.
It went very well. So well, that many of the guests took notice of just exactly who was doing the clearing.
Looking around, Niall spotted Hala. "Colonel." He called. "I could use your assistance, here. And then perhaps you could use mine?"

Baesal knelt before a pannel and activated her very unique Ionsaber. A quick strike later, the pannels were off-line.
She then plugged her slicing tools in, hoping to get a crack at the system.

The holocommunicator in the center of the outside hall turned on behind them. There was a man at the forefront, holding a bloodied machete, holding a woman hostage by the hair. In the background was the dismembered corpses of a few other guests along with other attackers.
"I hope you 'ave been enjoyin' da festivities. Howeva, I think you ah over-steppin' your boundaries."
He held the machete to the woman's throat and leaned closer to the camera. "Tell 'em your name." All he received was a few sobs. "I said tell 'em your name!"
"T...Talara," she murmured.
"Good job. You might even survive." He looked back to the wedding guests. "So relax, enjoy the 'music.' If not, I will cut Talara apart."

"I really hope Zane blows that guy's head off." Galen muttered to himself.
Looking around, he wondered if the cameras in the outer hall could be disabled. Probably not easily.

Adrianaa looked at the Jedi.
"I think you'll need some better tools, Master Jedi."
She steps in the way and disconnects the lines quickly before she can be interrupted.
When she steps back, an extremely robust system has been connected in return. Any hacker, slicer, or programmers wet dream.
"That should do it."

Hala glanced at the Jedi and the Senator, turned her head slightly to get a view on what had just happened, and them briefly pulled out her data pad. She tapped on if a few times, glanced back up again, then walked over towards Darth Xevious and Lord Haydriss away from the commotion.
"My lords," she said quietly with a deferential nod to each in turn.

The insurgent on display warned, "Tsk, tsk. Touch dat console and I chop off Talara's arm. And then the otha one. Then 'er legs."
Lord Haydriss turned back to Hala, the rage still emanating from her. "Speak quickly and be sure it is worth my time."

"So cut her arm off. We kill the feed, we kill your insurgency."
"Master Jedi, please continue. You'll find this equipment should tear through anything they might have had set up."

"If you would please send for me at your earliest convenience, there is another matter which I believe requires your attention," she said softly to the Sith lord before standing up fully and speaking to each.
"Your orders?"

Shooting Adrianaa a sour look, Niall stepped forward to the comm. "Captain Niall Organa, Republic military." He addressed the insurgent. "Let's not make any hasty moves, here. To whom am I speaking?"

"Captain Alderaan. I saw you on the news feed. You wanted to take apart all that I 'ave worked for." He whistled for his men to press the hostage down and bring out her arm. "We ah Crescent Shadow. My name is not important."
His head turned to the Togruta Jedi. "It up to her then."
In the meantime, Haydriss simply stared at the Colonel. "You wished to speak with me now? You could have addressed me at a better time."

Galen moved to speak quietly with one of the security personnel again.
"Where is this being broadcast from? What area of the hall?"

"We can't trace it, not without checking the system," one of the personnel replied, "And if we do that, then, well..."

"Of course my lord. I had thought to mention nothing at all and simply wait for your orders," she answered simply.
