[Adrianaa Morindel]

"Since the Empire attacked first during this war, what was it you wished to achieve? Knowing your goals for the initial war might make it easier for us to determine what we are able to negotiate with. We could offer an apple for example, but if what you really wanted was a peach, you would probably try to take the peach later."

[Darth Xevious]

"Korriban was in the hands of the Republic, the home world of the Sith in the hands of the Jedi. There is no greater ignominy then to return to your ancestral home and see it infested with vermin. So we eradicated the vermin, it just seems that infestation has spread to the entire galaxy," Darth Xevious says as he eats.

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"Well, you have Korriban now, and I for one would not wish to take it back from you. There are many other worlds you have taken however that many in the Republic would like to see returned. I for one, though I understand that would be asking much."

Adrianaa looks to the two other gathered Republic members.

"So since you got what you wanted initially, what is it you want now?"

[Darth Xevious]

Xevious reaches over and stabs the meat on her plate with his hydro-knife and says, "Everything."

[Adrianaa Morindel]

Adrianaa stabs her fork down into the meat.

"Well, that isn't an option, Darth. I may have kneeled to you, but that does not make me weak."

[Darth Xevious]

"I am Sith, and you are not. Weakness is your only birthright," he says tearing some of the meat and putting it in his mouth.

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"In the Republic, it is action, not birth that determines ones worth. I was born a Noble, but I had to climb the ranks of the military and be elected as a Senator on my own right, not my name."

Adrianaa takes a bite of the meat as well.

"Were we so weak, you would have beaten us long ago. Since we find ourselves in a stalemate that either proves us strong..."

Another bite.

"...or you just as weak."

[Darth Xevious]

Darth Xevious shrugs and says, "This meal has been a torturous pleasure. I thank you Senator for the entertainment."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvin chuckled, "You are aware in terms of our respective populations and resources you should be able to deal with a threat of our size with relative ease? And yet... consistently since our return we have relentlessly pressed deeper and deeper into your territory. My father commanded our forces for much of the past twenty years, so I can tell you, as an insider, that if he had the same resources you had and was fighting against a foe our size... you wouldn't have lasted a year."

He smiled, "I understand your attempt to negotiate from a position of strength, but if it comes at the cost of honest self-evaluation then it is pointless and leads only to endless chest-thumping. The truth of the matter is... it is the Republic that is bleeding at this juncture; you need time to regroup and re-strategize; because what you have tried up to this point has largely failed and with each passing day you lose more and more of the people who believe you will protect them. A bit more introspection appears to be a good idea at this point."

He nodded to Tssilla, "I would advise that meeting with Lady Tssilla at your earliest convenience; she should be able to inform you of the issues in a bit more matter-of-fact fashion that would be beneficial for all of us."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane watched the exchange between Xevious and the Senator in silence, using the chance to eat. Her eyes flick up when her name comes up.

Adrianaa turns to look at the woman.

"Well, if they wish for me to meet with you, then we shall meet. When would be a time you are free, Ms. Tssilla?"
