Baesal follows with her glass and the cocktail menu...

"Lets begin with this: what have you been told exactly?"

[Aphr Ahaya]

"That the Jedi and the Sith have a strict code that neither follow in its entirety" Aphr chuckled

[Baesal Zyn]

She rolled her eyes

"Oh. Boy." She laughed and took a drink "They really did not start you in the right place"

"Did they talk to you about the nature of the Force?"

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I thought as much" she laughed as well "I don't think so? Tell me about it from your point of view."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Your lucky girl, I've got a quite unique perspective''

She finishes her glass and begins

''First thing to know is the Force: no matter who tells you about it, the Force is a mystery. A mystery that have been poked over the years, so much so that we can say a few things about it. I'll give you a crash course through it.''

She waved the waiter

''First thing is that it's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us...in essence it binds the galaxy together. Scholar usually divides the Force into different aspects for ease of study and research, including, but probably not limited to, the light side, the dark side, the Living Force, the Unifying Force, the Cosmic Force, and the Physical Force.''

She takes a short break to order a glass of Arkanian sweet milk

''Light and Dark is mostly a question of morals, the Living Force is mostly about the energy of life forms, the Unifying Force is space-timywhimy stuff, the Cosmic Force is life after death and the Physical Force is...well...''

she knocks on the table

''The material and how the force affect it''

She takes a sip

''Mmmmm, good one. Everything 'kay so far?''

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr frowned as she listened. The force being so widespread, being...everything. it made sense, yet Xierreau seemed to think it was all rubbish. How could it be?

"We are all just one with the force, with some of us able to reach into the pool and take a small slither to use" she commented thoughtfully "I can understand why there are so many different viewpoints of it; describing it is hard enough."

She nods

''And that's where the religious aspects come from...only those attuned to the Force can study it but never fully.''

She sips

''And even if you can it does'nt mean you will. Many project there own beliefs into their view of the Force rather then taking the time to assess it in a scientific manner.''

[Aphr Ahaya]

There was another nod. Baesal seemed to have the best viewpoint of the force, and Aphr agreed so far with all she said.

"And you've certainly scientifically analyzed the Force, or at least what we can hope to understand of it. How long have you been...working with the force?" she looked unsure how to say it "using the Force?"

[Baesal Zyn]

"I've been discovered as a force sensitive a few years ago when the Empire invaded my home" she replied before a sip

"That saved me from execution or slavery"

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I see" didn't save me though "that was quite lucky then. And you were a Sith from then until you turned to the light side? Or at least...the Jedi?"

[Baesal Zyn]

''Kinda'' she slowly shook her head from side to side as if pondering a response ''While not a slave I was pretty much treated like a servant until I arrived at the Academy on Korriban.''

She grimaced

''What a hell hole''

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr managed not to ball her fists at that. "I remember when I was first taken away, and how I was treated. I was lucky in a way that I was too young when taken, and the senator that wanted a Twi'lek didn't want an eleven year old sex pet, otherwise my fate would have been far worse. I've been treated better since I was placed on the Starcross at least."

Baesal looked surprised at the revelation

''You are a slave? I did not expect that, I'll admit''

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I've been afforded a lot of freedom, so it's easy to miss that I'm still a slave" Aphr nodded "but...who knows, maybe soon I won't be?"

[Baesal Zyn]

"That is most curious...and I wish you to be out of your chains soon."

She sipped her glass, interested

"Why do you have such freedom on the first place?..If you don't mind me asking"

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Xero, the Hutt in charge of the ship, allows me my freedom as long as it doesn't interfere with the ships running. I deal wi the cargo, and making deals for the crew, and in return I'm allowed a small measure of freedom."

[Baesal Zyn]

''That's unsual. But I am glad he treats you decently.''

She sips

''By not being a slave anymore, what did you mean? Will he release you?''

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Being released..." she sighed "I don't know. Unfortunately, I appear to be good at my duty, so I suspect any release would be expensive, or bloody. Or both. I would prefer not bloody though."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Ask him'' she said ''I don't know if it will work but you could try. No matter what happens you'll get an answer you can work with''

[Aphr Ahaya]

She blinked, and looked at Baesal. "Ask a Hutt to set me free?"

[Baesal Zyn]

''Sure...be polite...but ask'' she smile ''I don't know your Hutt but its an available path''

She sips

''He might set a price, he might be surprised but with the right argument he could consider it''

[Aphr Ahaya]

There was a more thoughtful look at that. "I'm not sure how easy it would be...Xero is the nephew of Dango the Hutt after all. But maybe it would be possible..."

She smiled.

"As you say, no harm in asking."

[Baesal Zyn]

''It depends on the one you ask...but with what you have told me that is manageable, especially with good arguments.''

She winks

''Inform me of the results.''

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I will" Aphr promised with a smile "I can't say you'd be the first to hear, but you'll be one of the first at least!"

[Baesal Zyn]

''I'll drink to that!'' she says raising her glass
