[Day 7 - Mid-Evening] Waiting to Board

With most of his things in order, Vec had time to kill before he would board his flight out of Nar Shaddaa on a personal trip. He would keep the details of his trip to himself but it wasn't for pleasure, that's sure. Shuffling into the nearby bar, he merely gave the usual non-human customers a glance before he settled down at a seat by the bar, closest to the door where the air was tolerable for humans.
"Whiskey. Ice." He told the bartender.

Next to Vec was a human dressed in robes. "Make sure you get the Corellian stuff," he warns. "The Nal Hutta stuff tastes like mud and will give ya the runs for a week."

"Yeah?" Vec raised a brow as he looked over to the other human beside him and he shook his head, feeling like he just dodge a blaster shot. "Shit, and here I've haven't been picky with my whisky. Most of this stuff is better than the watered-down swill we got in on our last world. Makes a world of different now that you mentioned it."
He stroked his chin once and gave a nod to the bartender. "The Corellian stuff, as he said. Another one for him too."

Javagus raised his glass in appreciation, then finished off his current drink and pushed the empty glass away.
"Much obliged. Javagus Khan."

"Sergeant Vec Gunnar," he said in return and extended his hand if he wanted to shake it. "It seemed only proper to buy a drink for a good tip. Figured it was about time I pay it forward to someone. So what brings you over to the 'port, got some fancy trip Javagus or you're getting off this moon for good, finally?"

Javagus shakes the man's hand. "It's close to the ship." He hooks a thumb over his shoulder. "I've been staying on board while I'm in the system. Cantina just happens to be in walking distance. How about you?"

Javagus has an incoming call from Shae.

"Mm," he murmured as he glanced over at his direction he gestured to, even if it was unlikely that he would see the ship itself. "Cozy ship, then? I could only imagine that's the reason."
He lifted his long coat to show the trooper armour he was wearing underneath. "Duty, kinda. I can't say that I'm all that lucky to get shipped off this moon just yet or that I get to leave whenever I want. Still, it would be good to get a change of scenery around here. If I'm going to get shot at, at least I won't be bemoaning that it's at the same backdrop, yeah?"
Vec raised his brow at the sound of the incoming call but said nothing, merely taking a sip of his whiskey when it arrived.

"Cozy enough. I suppose I'm just used to it." He glances at the armor and raises an eyebrow. "Is that Empire armor? I think I recognize it from that Boob Knight..."

He glances down at his comlink. "Pardon me for a moment. Make sure nobody touches my drink, eh?"
Stepping a few feet away, Javagus answers the comlink. "Hello, love."

“Hey cyare, where are you? I got some free time to kill,” Shae replies over the line.

"Just up at the Mezenti Spaceport, in the cantina. Havin' a drink." He grins as he talks into his comlink. "You should come up."

Vec raised a hand to indicate that he shouldn't worry about that as he went off to take his call. That's the second time he heard that name, so this was actually what they called her. It seemed really fitting, all things considered.

Shae says, “Alright, I am on my way, save me a drink.” She ends the call.

Javagus heads back to the bar and reclaims his seat. "Sorry 'bout that. Lady friend callin' to say that she's on her way over."

"Eh, it's fine. Won't blame you if you got business around here and especially with a lady friend too. The last sort you'd want to piss off, yeah?" He smirked before taking a sip of his glass.
"So you meantioned the Boob Knight? Are you talking about that celebrity who's been sauntering about here?"

"Specially as she can take me in a fight," he chuckles.
"Yeah, that's the one." He sips at his whiskey, then motions towards Vec with the drink. "Seen uniforms like that on her show. I'm guessin' that you're not just cosplayin', though."

"Cos-what?" He murmured in befuddlement at the meaning of the word and he got a feeling he wasn't going to understand if anyone explained it to him. "I'm hardly playing anything, I'm the real deal. Well, glad they got something right. Wouldn't know for sure as I never watched an episode. The girl seems to think everything is a set, constantly asking if something was real...Feh."
He took a sip of his drink. "Before I go on, you're not a fan, are you?"

"Means dressin' up in costume. Seen a few of them around the spaceport." He shakes his head at the question. "Nah. Have a bunch of the vids on the ship, though, just grab a bunch of random stuff at an emporium. Somethin' to watch durin' hyperspace."

"Oh, yeah, I think I saw something like that at the upper levels of the station," he said with a shake of his head after a small gulp of whisky. "Can't say I see the big deal. It looks bad on some people and when it doesn't, just an excuse to get shot for looking like the real deal."
"I can't blame you if it's a long trip through hyperspace, something beats having nothing, I guess." He shrugged, not knowing if that was actually the case if you had to choose between nothing and Vera Hawke. "Is there anything else that passes for entertainment around here?"

"Pretty decent strip club," he says after a moment of thought. He sips at his drink. "A bit spendy, but worth a visit, I would say."

She enters wearing her armor but carrying her helmet but still pretty well armed though having a casual if alert demeanor. She spots Javagus and makes her way over. Once close enough for comfortable conversation she says, “It’s been a day, how are you… and who is this?”

"Spendy? Ah, heck, I'm the thrifty type unfortunately. Military work is steady pay, but it doesn't pay you enough to be thinking about buying ships anytime soon.."
He raised a brow when the woman approached, who Javagus indicated earlier he had a friend. For some reason, he pictured someone to be less dressed but that perhaps only because he mentioned the strip club before hand.
"Sergeant Vec Gunnar," he said, extending his hand. "If you've got businesst, I can just move on down."

"Shae Vizla, just here to drink so don't worry about leaving," she says to the soldier.

"Shae, yeah? Well, let me buy you a drink at least. What's your drink of choice?" He asked her as he was waving over the bartender. Three humans in a bar, this must be awkward for the locals here.

"Whiskey, straight, and keep it coming," she says with a nod.
