(D1 LM) Another Big Break - Group I

[Nekoinu]

Aris N'ventas has checked out a private area of the cantina for this meeting. At the foot of the entrance stands two bodyguards, two brutish Trandoshans without a sense of humor. Their job is to check for weapons and anything else potentially compromising, such as communication devices and other electronics. It is common etiquette to hand over at least one weapon while a hold-out is generally okay, meaning you will not be able to come in without handing a blaster or lightsaber over.

Bringing electronics in is technically fine but Aris is known for employing a EMP charges to kill any potential wiretaps. Any comlink or recording device will be disabled for the duration. However, nothing will be permanently damaged.

GM's Note: This segment is generally free roleplay but I may call for a few rolls based on the situation.

[Moyr Ahaya]

The woman in a black cloak and an ominous red mask handed over a small blaster and proceeded wordlessly where Aris wanted his interviewees.

[Aris N'ventas]

Aris was found lounging in his seat. Flanking him were a few, lightly armed guards, though the more equipped ones still stood outside. "If there's anybody that I don't want to mess with it's you," he announced as a ways of compliment. "Want a drink or are you not the sort? Or maybe something else?"

[Jo'ren Rath]

Hearing from Moyr had been an unexpected pleasure that morning. Having never had the opportunity to go temple raiding with her on Yavin IV it felt like they owed it to each other to do something wild. Then again, he would have settled for breakfast.

The two Trandoshans heavies got a nod of greeting. He handed over his twinblade, backup, and comlink then walked over to the meeting point and sat beside Moyr.

"Morning, it's good to see you." His gaze moved to Aris and the guards, but settled on the former and gave the man a nod.

[Aris N'ventas]

"Can I take that back? He's a pretty scary dude," he remarked when Jo'ren sat down. He was jovial, laid-back, though to the perceptive it was clear that he did find the Sith to be imposing.

But not enough for him to tremble.

[Moyr Ahaya]

She regarded him in silence for a while. "My friends should arrive soon enough, so you might want to wait a bit." The melodic, feminine voice might or might not have been familiar. The red mask distorted sound. "We are not meeting here to mess with each other. I'll drink a drink of Corellian rum and vine-coffee." Before she finished, Jo'ren came. She nodded to him, hoping he remembered not to drop her real name where she was wearing the mask. "And here is one of them. Though I wouldn't be presumptuous who of us two is the more dangerous one, Mr N'ventas."

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren liked to play dumb, but he wasn't going to drop Moyr's real name unless she did first. The contact's response caused Jo'ren to smile winningly.

"Hey, any friend of hers is a friend of mine. I'll have what she's having."

He sat back in the seat, massive frame causing it to creak a little. His eyes took in the scene, watching for any surprises.

[Baesal Zyn]

Baes came in third wearing a diguise. She did not wear Jedi robe but a two piece leather outfit that exposed her midrift. With her red tinted goggles and what would be a biker helmet for togrutas she could hardly be identified save her race

"Heya!" She said passing the guards and handing her shoto.

[Aris N'ventas]

For the time being, Aris did not seem to notice Moyr's identity. Instead he simply nodded. "Alright, alright. I suppose danger isn't decided just by height alone." He looked to his guards. "Well, come on, get their orders done. And make it quick. I like it when a lady refers to me as 'Mister.'"

He looked over to the newcomer, Baesal. "Welcome, welcome. We were just talking about who was the most dangerous out of all of you. Have an input, miss?"

[Baesal Zyn]

Her expression hidden behind her gear, she looked at Moyr and Jo'ren.

"Both Red and Darth Gunshow can pretty scary" she replied

"But I'm the most dangerous in the long run"

[Moyr Ahaya]

Moyr's emotions from seeing both of them after a break were concealed under her mask, but her voice betrayed them a little. "The danger is on the rise exponentially, it seems. Do you have an idea how to channel it out of this room, somewhere where it could be more beneficial to give it free reign?"

[Col. Hala Moraal]

The familiar click-click of boots echoed along the metal deckplates while Hala walked along with the other three on the way to the meeting. When it came time for her to present a weapon though, she shrugged.

"Weapon? What weapon? No, seriously. I'm a facilitator. I don't walk into meetings armed," she explained to a non-plussed Trandoshan. Despite her attempts to explain, she was never the less lead away into an adjoining room and the door clicked shut. Minutes passed and the older woman emerged from the room. Her boots still clicked on the floor plates but she was re-fastening her uniform jacket before she tugged it back into place. She gave the Trandoshan a resentful look before turning her attention back to their host.

"Mister N'ventas," she said, her voice still slightly miffed. She inclined her head with respect then stiffly sat down to join the others.

[Aris N'ventas]

He tilted his head. "I'm not quite sure what you're getting at."

The Trandoshan muttered something into Aris' ear. "Are you serious?" The slicer looked back to Hala and perked his brow. "You seriously don't have a blaster? How do you walk around on the streets?" With a bit of slow ease, he drew out his own holdout from under his jacket. "Madam, everyone comes armed on this planet. Moon. Whatever." He looked to the others present. "I'm sure that all of them have a lightsaber tucked away in their clothes somewhere."

He leaned forward, now pleased to see all of them present. He placed forward an EMP charge on the table and motioned for the guards to shut off the lights. In place, a few candles were lit. "I'm sure you understand. Anyone could be trying to watch in on us."

After setting it off, he placed it away and leaned back. "So, I assume you knew of my reputation before you came here. Industrial spy, con artist, slicer, you know." He shook his head. "I won't bother you with all of that. What I need to know from you guys is if you can get one of my people into a facility, keep him safe as he gets the data, and then get him back here."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"This is most likely within our collective capacity. But we'll need details." The Red Wraith quipped.

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren nodded at the others as they entered. Baesal got a curious look and sly smile. He watched the exchange, letting Moyr do the talking. It seemed simple enough.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"The details are important. Here or elsewhere, what facility, and how long should he need?" Hala asked, studying the man's miniature blaster with casual disinterest.

[Aris N'ventas]

"Well, firstly, everyone is going to need a weapon. Do you have one at all, stored anywhere?" he asked a bit incredulously. "Whatever, that's not important. The first order of business then is to make sure none of you are remotely working with my target." Aris stopped and peered at the four in front of him. "You don't seem like the sort but it'd be good to know if you're working with any corporations."

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"No, Mr. N'ventas. None of them has a corporate interest. I certainly don't," Hala answered.

"As for a weapon, perhaps I can draw one from the quartermaster at the embassy if you insist, but I tend not to get in fights. I find them unproductive when avoidable."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"I have no corporate affiliations but I tend to choose who I cross as a rule. So who is your target?" The masked Sith quipped again.

[Nekoinu]

Go ahead and roll a Charm (Presence) Check at Hard Difficulty to represent the group. Anyone can make the roll. Can be Assisted by one person.

[Moyr Ahaya]

Moyr wiggled her lekku, and Baes wiggled her lekku too. It was super effective.

[Aris N'ventas]

"Well, alright. The corporation in question is Czerka. If you have a problem with that, you should leave now and not speak of it." Despite the threat, his voice was still rather laid-back. It appeared that he had some level of trust in the group in front of him.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala merely shrugged, exposing the empty palms of her open hands as if she did not care and had nothing to hide.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"And the technology you hope to slice out? How will it affect Imperial interests when it changes hands?" Moyr mused.

[Jo'ren Rath]

Czerka. Well that could be interesting. Jo'ren figured his job would be protection. He shook his head to show he wasn't worried.
