Hala strode through the gate into the detention facility. She approached the desk sergeant, provided him with a copy of her credentials, and asked to see Lord Beniko's nikto cultist prisoner....

They bring her to the interrogation chamber where Lana is already staring at the nikto who is bleeding and has several bruises.

Lana says, "Colonel, this scum has not been forthcoming."

"Tell me, my lord... what is the prisoner's name? And what does he want?" she asked politely, her eyes remaining on the battered cultist while she spoke.

"Vygos, and we picked him up at a suspected safehouse for the cult. Trying to eradicate data, but he has not been forthcoming as to the why," Lana says glaring at the nikto.

"Tell me, Vygos," she said, her voice becoming curious and empathetic, "What do you want?"

Vygos says in Huttese, "To get out of here."

"I have no doubt that you could get out of here if you wanted, but to do that I need you to help me. I need to know where Azanak goes to recover, to recuperate."

"Or what you going to kill me, your Empire ain't friend to me and mine," he says with a scowl.

"Why would we kill you? You are more valuable than that and we both know it. But unless you cooperate with me then you remain here and your life will continue to be unpleasant for the foreseeable future."

"If that's not enough, then maybe something to help make your stay more comfortable while we find him. Do you have any particular medical conditions you need addressed, or perhaps food you're more accustomed to, or a religious text. Something to ease your time here until we find Azanak," she said, spinning her offer slightly.

"Bring me a good meal, from my home world," he counters. "Sure a place around here delivers."

She nodded, "Give me Azanak's hiding place, and you'll get your good meal. Or I could even arrange to just have your rations switched entirely to something more palatable?"

"Food first," he counters.

"Now you aren't being reasonable. And if you don't want to be reasonable, I can leave and you can eat your own teeth and drink your blood as they continue to batter your face in. Or, I can order you some nikto food and you can tell me where he is. It's your call," she said, her patience wearing slightly thin.

"How do I know I can trust you, Imperial, you have no reason to do anything if I tell you," he counters.

"Because I haven't lied or threatened you since I got here. I have no interest in causing you harm, and the only difference between you getting something out of the situation or me stepping next door and offering this to someone else while they go back to feeding you your blood. The difference between you telling me what I want to know and me getting what I want is some time on my part and a massive amount of unnecessary pain on your's. I don't have an interest in you suffering, it's not an effective way to get valid information, but it's one that your handler seems to prefer. But I will get this information eventually and someone will receive my gratitude for that. It could just as easily be you. So tell me what you want to eat tonight?" she said, leaning back slightly against the back of her chair.

The nikto thinks on it and gives up the information on where Azanak could be.

Hala places the order for his food within the interview cell.
