Nar Shaddaa

Remmington comes out of the changing room to meet up with the rest of the team. He sends a quick message on his commlink as he waits for the others to come out. He is smiling rather broadly.

Ashla shows up. "Hey."

Remmington waves back to her. "Yo Ashla. Glad you could make it out. You ready for another game?" He says with a confident smile.

Ashla smiles back. "Always. I wonder who we will be crushing this time."

Remmington takes out his datapad and checks it. "It says.... Rodents of Unusual Side. A mercenary team by the looks of it. Weird name."

He puts the datapad away and beams. "Did you see the news? Seems like we are causing a stir."

Ashla blinks. "Umm... OK. Then."

Ashla looks at the datapad. "Awesome. Hopefully, we can keep it up. It'd be lame if we crash and burn now." Ashla looks at the other team. "Especially, these guys."

It seems he was early, despite stopping by his quarters for a quick refresh after his work in the clinic. In fact, Cole thought he was in the wrong place until he saw Ashla, not in the least surprised. There was nothing athletic about the medic in the least, from his fine bone structure to his surgeon's hands to his knotty, lanky build hidden beneath the bulk of his field uniform. But he was here to support the Valkyries, not play for them.

Niall jogged out onto the field to join the rest of the team, dressed in the team uniform. "Remmington. Ashla. You're looking rather cheered today, I note."

Spotting Cole, Niall gave the man a nod.

Cole nods firmly to the Captain in acknowledgement, his fingers twitching with a suppressed reflexive salute.

Energetic music has been blasting from the speakers to make sure that the spectators and teams are suitably fired up ahead of the game, though this one is his favourite.

"Alright team, let's kick some ass." Jo'ren ran on surely after Niall, giving the Republic soldier a big grin.

"Let's see if we can keep up the good work huh? I've put a few credits on us again today so no pressure. Good to hear our skills were appreciated yesterday. Who're we playing?"

He looked at Rem, guessing their Captain knew what was going on.

Jo'ren bets 500 credits on team Valkyrie winning today.

Ashla greets Niall and Cole when they come in. She joins the Sith at the betting table. "Some douchebags called Rodents of Unusual Side."

OOC: Ashla bets 200 credits that Team Valkyrie will win.

"Rodents of what now? Sounds like some folks who need a good smack down." He watched the guy who had entered with Niall head off into the stands. Looking back at the team they still seemed to be short. The blonde didn't look like he could take much pressure, but then again it wasn't like Jo'ren new him or cared.

"Hey, blondie. You just gonna sit there or get your kit on? Game's starting soon and you ain't pretty enough to be a cheerleader."

Cole cocks an eyebrow, in his uniform it seemed unlikely that he'd been mistaken for someone else, and this didn't seem like a pick-up game. Glancing at Ashla, in case she could help clear up the confusion, "that's because you haven't seen me in a leotard and a short skirt yet."

"Plenty of time to show off your dress uniform after the game. Now, you gonna help out your buddies?" He gestured nebulously to Niall and Ashla. "Or do we pick out someone random, like that ugly Rodian over there?"

Embarrassing himself in front of the Captain was future Cole's problem. Looking like a pussy in front of Captain Organa, that was current Cole's problem. Future Cole would just have to suck it up. He wasn't Force-sensitive, but that didn't prevent him from thinking, if ever the Force worked on anyone, don't let me injure myself.

He gets to his feet. "Fine."

Ashla for her part is laughing. This Jo'Ren is a swell guy.

Niall grins, raising one fist in the air as Cole agrees to join. "Glad you have you on board, doctor. I suppose this way, you'll get to see the injuries first-hand."

Niall also puts down a hundred credits on the Valkyries, more as a sign of team spirit than any real interest in gambling.

No cheerleader skirt for Arsele. Instead she was in a skin tight athletic uniform with the team pads over it.

Good thing his field kit was designed for this sort of thing. Cole strips off the jacket, a white tshirt underneath. "Hopefully not first-hand, sir."

"Don't worry. I'll be here for you."

He scoffs, raising an eyebrow slightly, "you'd just love that." I wouldn't put it past her to hit me herself, just for the satisfaction of patching me up afterwards.

"I would. I mean, I would just love to see the pride in your eyes at my work." Ashla is very amused.

He reaches over and pats her on the head, between her montrals, "you know how proud I am of you, mentoree." It must be the lighting in the arena, because it almost looks like Cole's smirking.

"Well I guess we'll go with everyone we have here. Welcome to team Valkyrie. I'm Remmington Thalalas, the captain." Remmy greets the good doctor and extends his hand.

"I will probably need a moment to figure out positions for people to play but until then what do you think of this?"



He shows them an emblem with his datapad. "I'm thinking that we need an insignia, a logo or something to help identify us. We did make the news today, so that is great to hear." He smiles broadly.

After some consultation with Cole he formulates a plan. "Alright team Vaklyrie. Today we are going to have to be more fluid with our positions. So just play towards what you are best at. The Rodents of Unusual Size seem to have a couple of Mandalorians on the roster so watch out for those two the most.

Niall keep your eyes on play and call out plays like before. Jo'ren and I will continue to meet the other team head on. Arsele and Ashla, find openings where you can. Cole, stay frosty and just try to get open whenever you can so we can pass to you if we have to."

After laying down the general game plan, Remmy puts his hand out for the others to place theirs on top of.

"Team Valkyrie, let's fly!"

Once the game starts Remmington once again heads straight for the ball. He manages to get it but he is immediately surrounded by the 2 Mandalorians. He manages to evade their attacks and he quickly scans the arena. He spots someone open and passes the ball to them.
