The approach to the drop point has gone smoothly as the ship drops from hyperspace, the ship is fast and makes the journey in four hours time. Now all they needed to do was make contact… sensors are on the fritz this close to the singularity the system was bathed in radiation and gravity anomolies.
One small problem, there seems to be no contact on the secure line the smuggler uses. He suggests they will have to dock and hope this is just a momentary issue.
OOC: This is a four hour journey that leaves in the Late Afternoon, keep that in mind. You can make threads in Hyperspace for this trip.

Luth nodded from the co-pilot's seat, her gun strapped across her back and ready to be pulled in case of complete emergency. She kept an eye on the console while Arali worked. "Yeah... Hope for the best, prepare for the worst."

Ashla was there, checking her kit, making sure everything is ready.

It is hard to get anything in the soup of radiation but she picks up a distress beacon and a a garbled and warped message that she can't ,make heads or tails of. The message repeats every ten minutes or so. The freighter homes in on the beacon and the pilot says, "Well this is odd, usually Czerka would be hailing us, could be a change of security. I will get us docked and see if we can access them directly."
He maneuvers the ship towards a point in space and within about thirty minutes a space station comes into view, perhaps housing dozens of crew by the size at nearly half a kilometer in length. The pilot docks the ship and checks the comms and says, "Still nothing."

"I'm getting a distress beacon through the static, but I can't make out much more than that," Arali informs the team. "Could be they had a mechanical failure. Could be someone else got to them and they're using them as bait. Be ready for anything."
She readies her own gear and moves out when the team is ready, weapon in hand.

It can't be easy can it? "Well, only one way to find out."

Luth swings her gun forward, getting up to follow Arali. "Got it. Let's head." She moves out, as well.

After docking, the ship gets a good seal and then the entryway opens up to a darkly lit corridor with an access door at the end. Red emergency lights run along the floor, flashing every few seconds in a set rhythm. The door at the end of the corridor is metallic and sealed with a control panel next to it and a window of transparent material with a hand print of blood smeared on it on the opposite side.
OOC: Mechanics or Computers at average to get the door open.

"Oh, no..." Arali frets as she sees the handprint, already considering what could have done this. Probably not blaster fire. But in these narrow corridors, blades and bludgeons are just as effective as ranged weapons. "Be prepared for close-quarters fighting. Luth, stay behind us and maintain distance. Ashla, be on your guard, should they try and flank us."
She takes just a moment to examine the door, but anything in depth would be too slow. "No time. Gotta brute force it. Ashla, help me reverse the magseal.
The method is simple, but the timing is precise. Disconnect the seal's power supply and reverse a couple wires. Time it just right and you don't get shocked, yourself. A couple seconds later, what was once a perfect seal is now a repulsive force strong enough to rapidly rend every latch one by one.
((Assuming Ashla's assistance. Yay, togruta bonus! And I do have tools.
Mechanics:
1eP+3eA+2eB+2eD 2 successes, 7 advantage

Well. That is... a thing. O.o
I'd like to call on some of those seven advantages to say there's just enough delay on the door opening for Arali (and Ashla, if she'd like) to ready their weapons in case something big and horrible is about to jump us as soon as we open the door.))

Arali is able to pull the floor plans for the station as well via the emergency protocol. The structure houses 15 scientists, 25 support staff, and 12 security; this was a research station into biological agents and more importantly she has the location of the medical supplies.
The trio are prepared as the door breaks the seal and opens, the air inside is breathable but there is an odor of rot in the air. The other side looks like a foyer, with a desk and the Czerka emblem emblazoned on the bulkhead behind the desk. A droid sits at the desk with sparks coming from it. The room is in disarray and there is more blood of varying species spattered across the walls. There is a door to the left of the desk that is slightly ajar trying to close on a metallic table.
The droid speaks in the dimly crimson lit darkness, "Gree-tings, wel-come, Czerka Outpost X5-765, how... help?"

They could go right for the supplies, try and grab them and get out... but that makes it more likely that they get ambushed by whatever took out this facility. It managed to drive off over fifty people, a dozen of them security. Better to see what the droid has to say.
"We received a distress signal from this location. Is there anything we can do to help?"
There's no way they'd restrict this droid to the extent that it can't at least talk usefully when the facility sends out a distress signal, but...
She looks for the droid's restraining bolt, and assesses the damage, in case she has to restore full functionality to get anything useful.

The restraining bolt is accessible as the droid responds, "Oh my, yes we had a... cata... strophic containment brea-ea-ea-each. Test Subject Z453 is now loose. How... assist... you?"

Luth, meanwhile, keeps her eyes and ears open, listening closely for whatever might have killed everyone. Her gun was at the ready, her posture tense and ready to move.

OOC: Hard Perception check for Luth. I will also need everyone to make a Fear check at Average, Cool or Discipline.

Both my rolls are the same, but it it matters, we'll say Cool.

Luth can hear something scratching on the other side of the door, she thinks she might even hear a voice... not a droid but a living creature or a digital one that is made to sound like a sentient being. The door is currently trying to close but the steel table in the way keeps it from closing fully and it tries again.
OOC: Luth will suffer a setback to all rolls due to Fear for this encounter, but she gains a boost die to the next Fear check if there is one. Ashla succeeds at the check but suffers 2 strain.

She nods to the door, deciding to alert her companions to it. "There's someone or something on the other side of that door. Scratching, and I think I hear someone."

There is a low hine and then human like fingers reach around the door and slowly slide it open to reveal... a man with pale skin that hisses and down the hall she sees several more with eyes that reflect yellow in the dim light... they charge!

OOC: Initiative roll Vigilance at Simple, means no difficulty, if you are suffering from Fear don't forget the setback on the roll.

Vigilance:

Ghosting instructions in my PF. On duty today.
Edit: Forgot about my free advantage on successful hit. I give the next PC a boost.))
