[D10 - LM] A Crow Approaching

The Corvid's end drops out of hyperspace in the Koros system. Slowly the ship approached it's destination. Rumun observed from one of the ship's windows the, otherwise, unremarkable stellar system. Some gas giants orbiting around a red giant star in the last moments of its life cycle.

A massive blue and purple gas giant is their destination with swirling storms that dot the atmospheric surface. The Corvid's End approaches the planet and then the destination begins to peak out. A ship caught in low orbit of the planet just barely peaking out of the swirling clouds and lightning storms of a massive planet size storm.

Magpie says, "This is where you want to be?"

'' I think so. '' Rumun shrugs. '' The coordinates pointed to this place and I think that ship, over there, is what i'm looking for. How can I go over there is the question...'' the Duro thought for a while.

*****************************

[OOC]

I assume that the ship is orbiting the gas giant in an 'almost' stable orbit, right? Can one go there in a shuttle?

"We can dock briefly, the orbit is decaying but it must have been here some time, so you may not be in immediate danger," Magpie responds after looking at her pilot's assessment.

'' Allright, let do this then. '' He said. The duro prepares himself to whatever he will find inside that space hulk.

The dock with the ship and allow Rumun to enter. Magpie says, "May the Force make you strong, Rumun. I suppose this is where we part ways."

'' May the force make you strong, Magpie. '' He bowed to the sith crow. '' As promised, here you have a way to contact my master. This is not my own personal master-apprentice contact code but you can reach her with ease. '' He gave a contact code to Magpie.

'' Well hopefully I can make that thing fly away, if not, ha! I will be vaporized during entance to the gas giant...'' He chuckles. '' Farewell. ''

Let see what destiny has prepared for this duro.

She takes the code and departs. The acces door opens with ease and the interior washes over him with stale but breathable air. The interior is silent but for her his own footsteps. The interior seems similar to other Hutt spacecraft he may have seen, yellows and metallic grays with murals glorifying the Hutt species.

Faded with time. Interior power begins activating causing the ship to studder.

The duro look around his survival kit, he picks the multitool, one emergency comlink, a respirator and the microfiber line and put them in his utility belt. Then he takes out his handscanner with one hand, and with the other he ignites his lightsaber, just in case. He tries to find his way towards the ship's bridge. He needs to make a full diagnostic of the ship's condition.

*************************

[OOC]

Forgot to mention, I brought my new survival kit (D9). I will take some items from it, the rest i will leave it there at the entance.

Rumun spends about a half hour getting lost and finds himself in what looks like a series of apartments that are empty. He then hears something fall and crash.

Well the Duro was not desperate, not for now. He just sighs and will try again.

Something or someone is in the surroundings, perhaps? He thought after hearing something falling, but he did not show any reaction, he just calmly continued but was in alert.

He finds an active computer terminal. The glow of the monitor contrasting with the dim lighting.

'' Let see how's your condition... '' Rumun said aloud. He tries to run a full state diagnostic. He wanted to see if the ship was capable of leaving the gas giant orbit and if the sublight thruster were active, and if the ship was capable of entering hyperspace. He was still wary of his surroundings.

The engines are functional, but no telling for how long or what damage has been done to them in the decades since it was lost. The communications system is need of repair as well.

The ship shudders again.

'' Alright, this thing is falling down. '' Rumun stretches. '' I need to go the engine room to prepare the engine and main generator for start '' He said to himself.

[OOC]

I assumed that I can't start the engines from this console.

Finding Engineering takes some work but after another twenty minutes he finds his way into Engineering and feels a bit light headed as the air much thinner in this area. He notices as well that gravity is... not exactly stable in this region. He can see where ne needs to get to but it will require some work and zero-gee maneuvers.

OOC: Correct. Coordination at Easy.

Rumun put on his respirator. He tries to navigate through the zero gravity environment but this was harder than expected. Even for a duro.

He finds himself unable to maneuver easily but he does find a control panel he could use to try and engage the drive core with some effort. He won't have a way to steer but he will have engines going and a great deal more power.

[OOC]

Do I have some sort of visual panel or console were I could see the direction the ship is currently engaged? I don't want to activate the engines while in a terminal orbit. Assuming that the engines could achieve escape velocity.
