The Exile (D8, MM)

[Jo'ren Rath]

Two hours later than planned Jo'ren and Shaisha arrived at the structure that had previously belonged to an exiled Jedi Master. The big Sith wasn't feeling to out of breath and the vista was spectacular.

"Alright, let's see what we can see."

[Dapper Dog]

The structure was a wide mouth in the side of the plateau and the view was breathtaking. Two large pillars shaped into ancient hooded Jedi stood vanguard at the mouth of the entrance and the interior was perhaps one time an old hangar bay but now it was over strewn with debris, plant life, and the skittering of creatures in the dark.

Yet there was a peaceful and calm feeling that settles over the Sith. The bay was perhaps forty meters by forty meters square with a single entrance deeper into the structure obstructed by debris.

OOC: Easily dispatched with lightsabers if you wish to bypass the debris.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shorter legs? Check.
Not a hulking brute of a Sith? Check.
Refusing to be outdone by anyone? Check.

She wasn't out of breath, because she was in good physical shape, but she certainly had to stop for a quick breather as she took in the view. Well, the view did almost steal her breath away.

"Right... my visions didn't show anything of this place, so we're not gonna have that advantage." She eyed the debris in their path. "Should make quick work of that, I guess."

Shaisha ignited both her lightsabers, the red-bladed shoto making the normal *snap-hiss* of a lightsaber, while the ghostly blade of her curved saber didn't even make a sound. At least she could work out some aggression on the debris.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Hey. Now that's a cool saber Shai!" He grinned at her and began to remove the debris with his familiar twinblade. Fortunately the universal door opener was good for other things too.

"Do you feel that?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"That the lightsaber is cool?" she chuckled. "It weighs the same as every other lightsaber, but I'm perfectly aware of where it is."

Lightsabers were such handy tools.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"No. I meant the feeling. Here. This place." The peace was not natural. Maybe a vergence, or maybe it really was natural and he'd just been on edge so long he didn't recognise what calm felt like.

"Where did you find the crystal for that thing though? Never seen one before."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Hmm..." she paused in her fluid motions of carving a path to properly take in the feeling.

"... It feels... different, yes." For some reason, it reminded her of the old Jedi lady she had spoken with the day before.

She snapped back to work. "In a crashed pirate ship on Korriban. After killing Death's Shadow."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Huh, Korriban was full of surprises." He looked over at her as he finished clearing the blockages from the big doors.

"You still having those visions?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Every damn night." There was certainly a bitterness in her tone.

With enough cleared out, she took a better look at the doors.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"That sucks. Guess it's important though?" He moved into the entrance and turned to look at her.

"Let's see what we can see. Guess I should lead since it's my show." He pulled out scanner goggles and put them around his neck, then reached out to the force to Sense what lay beyond. It was so bright and peaceful that he had to turn to the technology. "Lightside all over this place."

D8. MM Sense: 1eF 2 Light Side

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha put on her mask, which had integrated scanners that allowed her to pick up heat signatures and motions.

"Where there is light, there is always darkness..." the light did not deter her senses this time.

D8 MM Sense: 1eF 1 Dark Side

[Dapper Dog]

She could feel everything around her and had a good idea of the hallway ahead and that it was empty but this place was calm, in balance. There was a presence here that still lingers and the dark had no hold over it.

The hallway is long and dusty and ends in with a door at the end of the hall.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"It's clear..." She tried to shrug off the odd sensation of peace and calm, but it was everywhere around them. "There's something here though; like a lingering presence, but I can't feel anything else."

She extinguished her lightsabers for now to free up her hands as they made their way in. "Might be traps though."

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren looked down at his feet noting that the dust later suggested no-one else had been here in a very long time.

"Kind of spooky huh?" He grinned and took a look at the door, searching for an access panel. If none existed he would try pushing the door open.

[Dapper Dog]

The door slides open easily with some effort. Therew as no power and it was dark inside but the layout seemed like a circular mediation chamber with three other doors leading off from this chamber.

They hear a woman’s voice filter through the air, “There is no emotion, there is peace.”

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Peace is a lie." He looked around the room with his goggles set to low light.

"Do you see a playback device?" He looked around for a power switch, working his way clockwise around the room until he reached a door.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"I...don't think there is one," she shook her head, her mask's visor allowing her to see in the unoptimal lighting. "Can't shake the feeling that there is something here still... maybe like a ghost, or something?"

Shaisha moved behind Jo'ren, watching their backs as he had the vanguard.

An apparition forms in the room and waves a ghostly lightsaber and says, “This is no place for you Sith. You will find nothing here but peace and tranquility; I eschewed any possessions you would find of use to you.”

“There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.”

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Jedi," Shaisha begins in a calm tone. "If there is nothing here, why do you remain rather than being one with the Force?"

[Dapper Dog]

"This was my home, it has value to me," she says calmly.

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren looked at her carefully and then returned to the doorway, seeing if he could open it. "You sure about that? Sounds like the kind of thing someone with something to hide would say. I like your saber by the way, maybe you'd like to share some of that knowledge and explain why the Jedi exiled your ass?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"It does sound an awful lot like attachement," Shaisha nods, keeping a more polite tone than her male counterpart.

[Dapper Dog]

"I am dead, I have nothing to hide you can ransack this place if you like, I cannot stop you. I do not trade in lies like a Sith. The Jedi not exile me, I chose to be here to seek my own path. This is where I found peace and was able to set aside my burdens for a life of contemplation," she replies calmly.

"This weapon has long passed out of my hands."

The Force spirit adds lightly, "I suppose it was dear to me even when I chose to leave it behind."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"And did you learn anything more in your life of contemplation then, Jedi? Surely, you wouldn't leave behind the Order to merely contemplate the same old thing?" she maintains the calm and polite tone.

[Dapper Dog]

"I learned that peace and stillness are paths to enlightenment," she replies calmly.

"If you seek to turn from your paths of darkness then I can share such things with you, they would do you little good as a Sith."
